Awesome getting to witness what we never see! You are incredibly clean and clear in your picking. I love your style! Best wishes in your no doubt long career. Thanks for sharing your profession with us.
It's very rare for me to watch a video this long in length, but I enjoyed every second of this one. Loved this! And you're awesome, dude! Really great tones.....
Thanks for this video! Fun to see how it’s done! Great tone and very musical playing. It would be fun to see a pedal board/rig video. Keep rocking my man!
This was a really good video Justin. Your playing was fantastic and your tone was perfect for the artist's songs. Really well done. I admire your passion and talent which is why your successful and will continue to be.
Justin, I am not surprised at how much hard and diligent work goes into your profession. But, you definitely are a professional and a man who processes a gift from God. Keep up the good work. I foresee this video gets a lot of views.
Best video of the day for me and that’s saying a lot cause I’m sitting here with a broken ankle. I’ll be getting my tele out soon as I can. New subscriber!
Incredible, with such a popular and busy rehearsal studio complex you'd think they could have leveled the floor in the corridors to ease the noisy and unrelaxing trolley chugging on the way in. Or do the trolleys have square wheels?
Clean and groovy, Justin. No place to hide mistakes when you play that clean. Great tone and just a saddle pickup? Major tone! Anyway, love it and can't wait to see more footage!
I can’t play my guitar very well, but one thing I have in common with you is every time I grab a cart I get the one with the wonky wheel that makes a racket as I push it. Anyway, great playing and thanks for the peek behind the scenes.
I tip my hat to anyone who's out there playing. Even better when the playing is there to support the song and help move it along without feeling the need to unload the entire clip of chops. Great playing. Watching the load in gave me a little palpitations thinking about all those many load ins I did during my performing years, I don't miss that part but I do miss that unspoken feeling you get from playing with other great musician's. Best to you, keep it up.
A smooth session, you approached it professionally no messing with bust lead’s etc 😂 Made easy with that drummer and a good natured vocalist. Thanks for sharing
Fantastic playing - playing for the song with space in between. Love it. Living my life! Does Nashville need a 50-year old guitar player that’s fine being in the shadows singing harmony and playing!? I’m ready to ditch IT and do this. Thanks for the inspiration…
The entire time you were setting up I was nervous knowing your car was parked at the loading door. I did a studio date many moons ago at A&M Records and thought I got really lucky when the only parking spot left was a one by the door. Never saw the sign "RESERVED FOR MR.ALPERT." When Herb Alpert arrived he was not happy. Not the best way to set the stage for future calls.
@@justinmeyersguitaristthe ODR1 is my all time favorite drive! Justin, have you tried stacking a Mostortion into the front of the odr1? With the mids down a bit it’s absolutely amazing for stacking
Fine Tele Esquire, nice pedalboard setup, Deluxe Reverb sounds good, great playing without ever stepping on the singer or trying to out shine anyone, and a fantastic attitude. You will always have your place playing guitar professionally, you have earned it. Congratulations. 👍😎✌️
Haha Thanks! It’s a 3 way switch, the position I’m using in the video is just the volume control active no tone control. The middle position is vol + tone control active, then back position is the “mud cap” so it just rolls off all high end basically. No neck pickup obviously to switch to.
What a great sound you guys have. It just goes to show you don't have to blow the roof off to have a great tone. I love the guitar work, and the guitar. Is that an off the shelf model or did you modify it? Thank you.
Sounded great. Question: are amp slip covers totally out of style? I know they're not super protective but they do protect from some scuffs and scratches. Maybe it's a generational thing but an amp without a cover is almost (to me) like a guitar without a case.
I am so glad you made that video, I knew you were a good player from your opening jams, I didn’t understand how great you are with a group. You play such tasteful parts. I would love to have half your instincts. Are those parts written out for you, or do You include them.
Really cool video, behind the scenes look, helpful for people who don’t do it for a living. I like how you were the first guy in the room … hard worker.
It's easy to see why you get gigs. Tasteful playing my friend. Thanks for taking us behind the scenes.
Thanks!!
Timing/rhythm is impeccable. Thank you !
Thanks so much!!

Awesome Playing And Great Tone
Thanks so much!!
I had an audition in that exact same room about 8 years ago. So cool to see again.
Super good playing and tone
Beautiful music and great vocals
Thanks!!
Excellent, groovy playing and kickass tone. The band sounds great, and I'm so glad you guys have a steel player.
Thanks so much!! Yeah pretty rare for sure nowadays. And NO TRACKS!
Nice chops! Just subscribed. Look forward to more😊

Real nice playing! So good!
Thanks so much!
Rock guitarist 80s era here. Super impressed with your tone and playing! Thank you for the insight!! I wish I could play like that too...
Thanks so much!!
Feel like I’m there setting up, especially the drop pedal off the board. Nice job
Thanks so much!
You sound pretty damn ready to me Justin. Everybody sounds great man, have a good time out there.
Thanks so much Chuck!!
Nice AnalogMan pedal, good to see people still have those on their boards, I waited +1yr for my Bi-Comprossor back in the day
Clean and groovy, Justin. No place to hide mistakes when you play that clean. Great tone and just a saddle pickup? Major tone! Anyway, love it and can't wait to see more footage!
Thanks so much!!
Justin you have great tone! Tone is where the heart is. As Steve Ray said ‘Tone over technique.’
Thanks Tim!!
Beautiful songs, guitar playing and technique. Nicely done!
Thanks so much!
So clean!
Great vid man.
Thanks so much!
Dang. All over the country there are guitarists who think they are pretty good, but what I saw and heard in Nashville was next level good. Great job.
Thanks!!
This is my favorite video that you’ve done. Bonus points for the top loader.
Thanks!
He’ll yeah! Sounds great
Thanks so much!
Tasty! Best of luck on the tour with everything other than the guitar playing which you have nailed. 😁
Thanks so much!
I can’t play my guitar very well, but one thing I have in common with you is every time I grab a cart I get the one with the wonky wheel that makes a racket as I push it. Anyway, great playing and thanks for the peek behind the scenes.

Boy you sure do light it up when it’s solo time. Rythym is exquisite. Love your playing
Thanks so much!
Enjoyed that my friend 🙏🏻 great tone from your Esquire 👍🏻
Thanks so much!!

Fantastic playing! Great tone too.
Thanks so much!
Really inspiring for me to see, how simple your rig is. Just a Deluxe Reverb, a Telly and some Pedals. Really cool, I should do that too.
Thanks!

oh man. excellent vid! thanks
Thanks so much!!
I love the opening lick of the first song, killer!!
Thanks!!

Haha dang! At SIR, it’s not reserved just have to move the car after you’re loaded in
The song thats starts @ 14:40 what is this song called and where can i find it. Amazing omg
Keep up the good work! Greetings from Bavaria Germany
Thanks so much!
Great playing!
Thanks!!
That's the best looking Telecaster I've seen, the pearl looking Pick gaurd , very cool.
Thanks!!
OF COURSE you gotta have the vintage MXR phase 90..... I wonder if you have the stock Fender in the amp?
It’s nice being there alone so people aren’t running into you when you’re setting your gear up.That’s why I ALWAYS try to get there early.
Great content! Love the behind the scenes. A little narration of goings on (I know, obvious) would be nice. Hey, keep the videos coming.
Thanks!
Great playing and tone Justin.
Thanks!
Loved this. Best of luck with your career!
Thanks so much!
Great playing man!
Thanks so much!
Damn awesome video and playing
Thanks so much!
Loved it. Many thanks.
Thanks so much!!
Good ole' SIR. Great rehearsal spot.
Love it man!!
Thanks!!
Nice, thanks for sharing.
Thanks!!
Cool as all get out ! Thanks for posting.
Thanks so much!!
Hey buddy, that's a great video. Great playing.
Thanks!
It's a small thing, but that courteous volume roll off after every song is a pro move to kill that single coil noise.
Thanks!!
The DROP has saved my butt on sub gigs. I enjoyed your vid and your tone and playing are killing. ODR-1 on the whole time?
Thanks! Yes mainly
@@justinmeyersguitaristthe ODR1 is my all time favorite drive! Justin, have you tried stacking a Mostortion into the front of the odr1? With the mids down a bit it’s absolutely amazing for stacking
Very cool, please let us all know how the shows go!
Thanks!
Nice playing man … and to some proper country music !
thanks so much!!
Yeah, tasteful stuff. For the betterment of the song.
Good job
Thanks so much!
Killer playing dude!
Thanks!
Did you ever look at the Goodwood Audio Audition for your insert point? I’ve really been pleased with mine. Enjoying the gig videos
No I haven’t checked it out. I already have an interface so no need. Glad you’re enjoying it!Thanks!!
What band is this? What's the name of the last song?
PROFESSIONAL
Thanks!
Sounds great!
Thanks!
Cool video, nice playing too 😎⚡️🎸⚡️🎶⚡️💥⚡️

Finally! Something worth watching on UA-cam! Just curious......is the pickup selector just for looks? Great playing.

I wanna learn lead guitar so bad!
I offer 1 on 1 lessons! Email me at jkm4231@gmail.com
Well played 👍
Thanks so much!
Did you pull the Alnico and change out the guard for the "no-caster" look?
SWEET..👍. You just got yourself a new subscriber 😊
Thanks!!
Great video!!
Thanks!
Sounds great bud 👍🏻
Thanks!
Tasteful playing!
Thanks so much!!
Nice peek behind the scenes.
thanks so much!
What a great sound you guys have. It just goes to show you don't have to blow the roof off to have a great tone. I love the guitar work, and the guitar. Is that an off the shelf model or did you modify it? Thank you.
Thanks so much! Just a custom shop stock Esquire
Sounded great. Question: are amp slip covers totally out of style? I know they're not super protective but they do protect from some scuffs and scratches. Maybe it's a generational thing but an amp without a cover is almost (to me) like a guitar without a case.
Gonna use road case when it goes into trailer.. for stuff around town no need
Nice!
Thanks!
Your overdrive tone is ON POINT. Whats your drive?
Thanks bud. Nobels odr-1
Great guitar playin. Who is the singer? He sounds like a mix between Waylon & Paycheck.
Thanks!!

Great playing excellent tone . One question : What does the 3 way switch do with a single pickup Tele like a Broadcaster ?
Really cool video, behind the scenes look, helpful for people who don’t do it for a living. I like how you were the first guy in the room … hard worker.
Thanks so much!
very enjoyable
Thanks!!
Who’s the artist you’re playing with here? Very tasteful plating btw👍
Thanks!!
What does a pickup selector do on a guitar with only one pickup?
Position 3: full tone, tone knob doesn't work
Position 2: tone knob does work
Position 1: minimum tone, tone knob doesn't wor
Who is the artist? Sounds like Wey Jennings
Smooth 😎👍🏼
Thanks!!
Who was the steel man?
More of this! So tasty Justin. What year is that esquire?
Thanks so much! It’s a reissue. From last year
Does your dolly/cart have square wheels?😂
