I appreciate session craft and I can pick Tom or Dan Huff out of a musical lineup, however, I know for me, nothing will ever replace musical passion and the feeling it creates. Handmade, heartfelt tone, the result of hours upon hours of dedication, perpetually learning, by virtue of talent and by passion. AI doesn’t have passion, never can, and never will…. watching music and communicating about music matters…That’s why I am here and I’m true to my Skool. I respect and love this place dearly.. as far as ai, I remember when we were way more content with less and were attuned to every detail, in seeking out a song on the jukebox, waiting for whatever music/radio show for our turn to hear our song. @@SeeCSeesCC Well said. I have got to the age now where I find it's more rewarding watching/listening to live performances than recorded or studio output, and YT is such a great resource. Thank you once more. One thing I'm aware of now - and particularly grateful for- nd didn't have words for awhile: There's a way you lean into notes - you've mentioned before recently the way you play with a certain amount of force that would be interesting to measure- but it's not just a physical force- there's an emotional force that's particularly noticeable in your playing- a way that your deliberate selection of tones/notes exposes the near limitless palette of colors available - it really has blown things wide apart for me - it's been a bit like taking psychedelics for the first - thank you for your creativity and stepping into things in a way that shows me what's potentially available musically - which is again, a limitless variation of tone/ texture/ harmony / contrast And to too it off thanks for just being a human being at the end of it all. And for playing the police (my first band in 7th grade used to attempt regatta de blanc covers and so lonely- probably my favorite band when I was a tween- you even played voices in my head not long ago which to this day blows my mind

Always learning! I use that same mic combo and to see Drew flip it sideways is something I just haven’t tried yet. This is why I love music and recording, it’s an endless journey. Cheers!
I wish I hadn't waited until I was over 40 to get my first guitar with P90 pickups, I absolutely love them now. Incredibly inspiring opening track as always!
Man thanks for this. You are so right about the room mic and that is something I’ve found lacking when recording modelers. Some do allow you to select mics and mic placement/distance at least. My workaround for room mic sound is to add a slapback delay or small room reverb. Of course nothing beats the real thing if you have the option.
I just turned 70, and have been in "variety" bands since high school. We played everything from Cajun waltzes to Van Halen. The last cover band I was in lasted 27 years, banging it out, weekend warriors on Louisiana nightclub band stands, debutante and Mardi Gras balls. I played guitar in that 2 guitar situation with a much better guitar player than me. We had a mind meld, bragging that our band didn't need a keyboard player because between us, we could cover anything. Anyway, cut to 15 years after I quit that cover band to become an actor, I fell into an original music band with a bunch of theater guys in their early 20s, playing bass!! And Uncle Larry is right! Playing bass for this first-time-bass player was an absolute blast. You get to control the groove! It was fascinating to discover.
I predict players will be studying your videos for years to come. Jeff Beck didn't give us TAB... just recordings that made him legendary. Modern tech has now given us the ability to have you deliver this fire hydrant goodness almost every other day. It's a colossal amount of work to take in and be inspired by. The way you switch gears with ease and then blast off with a flurry of notes like the high performance dragsters I used to go watch as a kid in Jersey. BTW, the angry demented guys will have ZERO impact down the road and will simply not be remembered. Thanks again Tom!
Loved your comments on "phases" .. so true! I'm with you on mic'd tube amps. IMHO there's magic between the amp speaker and the mic that is impossible to duplicate. Lots of intangibles, like room acoustics, etc. that play a big part. Close mic + room mike .. hard to beat.
The lamp turning off really created a vibe 😂

Nice! Those note bends give me something to aspire to. Love the volume knob swells.
Hi Tom, As always thank you for the outstanding information.
really loving the intro playing!!!!
I love when you play your Gibsons ❤❤❤❤
Fantastic knowledge sharing as per usual. Thanks Tom!
50 years ago I was sitting next to Joe Pass jamming, now I'm even happier chilling with Uncle Larry 's explorations.
It's the space in the room that creates the magic. Rock on Tom.
Thank you Drew. Thanks Tom
Thanks uncle Larry! I really appreciate all the musical nutrition! You are a cut above! Rock on brother!!🎸
Great video all the way around! Thanks, Larry
Great playing, great vibes and great information! Always look forward to your vids, keep em coming
Thanks UL much appreciated!
Awesome intro, a little Police, and a look at mics placement... love homeskoolin, thx!
Thanks again Tom!
i appreciate these kind words sir
Uncle Larry!! 🎤 Love the combination of the two mics! Of course all the awesome guitar playing..
Truth my brother. I wish I had that what you have. Truth.
Beautiful sound Tom, hope 2025 is a cracking year for you mate, cheers!
Beautiful as always brother. Need to get you a teleport so we can hear this on our amps
Unbelievable playing & sound🔥
Loved your comments on "phases" .. so true! I'm with you on mic'd tube amps. IMHO there's magic between the amp speaker and the mic that is impossible to duplicate. Lots of intangibles, like room acoustics, etc. that play a big part. Close mic + room mike .. hard to beat.
Vacuum tubes were first developed to reproduce the human voice.
Thanks for the mic placement demo, much appreciated.
