- Sun political columnist Brian Lilley was at the University of Toronto protest and witnessed the pro-Palestinian encampment complete with fencing, tents and anti-Semitism graffiti scrawl on sidewalks. Certain people were allowed in and others were not from entering including certain media.
More than half of these protesters have no idea what is going on. They are like mindless sheep lining up for a new iPhone.

As a former academic of the U of T, and it is a place for open minded discussions, debates and protests almost somewhere at sometimes, every day at the U of T. I understand that not everyone is able to attend the U of T and this is why there are other universities with less stringent entry qualifications. And I also understand that there are many who barely pass high school and comments about the life of academia is reflected in their comments. To learn to agree to disagree and walk away from that. Like a normal civilized mature adult might do. Good trouble.

I've seen multiple vidoes of Christian, Muslim, Bedouin, and Druze saying how they appreciate being Israeli citizens and proud to live in the only democracy in the Middle-East where they enjoy freedom and full equality under the rule the law. I've seen multiple videos of people explaining how surprised they are at the diversity of the Israeli people; where most of the people are non-white (and the majority are from the Middle-East and not Europe). I'v seen multiple videos of Palestinian people who live in Judea and Samaria (the Westbank) complaining about road check points, discrimination and that some of the Jews who live there harrass them. (There is a vast difference between being inconvienced by check points when travelling between the zones and attending a concert and being shot). Primarily it seems the Palestinians complain about the Nakba and losing the war in 48, and not destroying Israel and killing the Jews 75 years ago. Whereas the Jews complain about always having to defend themselves. They complain about the constant regular threat of suicide bombers, mortars and missiles. And now we have young Canadians who are supporting a terrorist organization with an ideology rooted in anti-semitism, an organization that is pro-nazi, pro-fascist, whose goal, articles 22 and 23 of the charter, is to annihilate all Jews globally.
