I am obsessed with your channel! Thank you for sharing all these recipes and vlogs. I've been missing home and I really need some actual guyanese recipes to work with - thank you!!!!
Thanks for your video. One of the most professional demonstrations. i also have the baking meat pie baking trays that they used long ago which is similar to a cut down muffin pan.. Keep up the good work.
I loved your clear, descriptive explanation in the beginning about layering the seasonings and spices for a bolder flavour! Also, I had no idea about using the bottom of the empanada press like that!!! I learnt something new today! Thank you and keep up the great work :)
I honestly would have never thought to pulse the chicken breast after boiling them! You really made this look simple! I really love watching you cook. Seeing the steps come together and what each step should look like really helps with the execution of the recipe when I do try it out. Also really love all the little tips and tricks that you incorporate into your videos. I find them very useful!
@@matthewsguyanesecooking4601 more than well ,I had to make more,I normally would have to bring from Guyana but now my job is to make this, thanks to you lol
These look delicious.Tfs. Can I make them the night before and leave them on the tray to be baked the following day. If so should I put them cold in the oven or let them come to room temperature first . Thanks in advance for your answer. I will like to make some for church
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed. To be honest traditionally it's fine like this but it is totally fine to leave it more chunky. Really depends on your preference. I hope you give em a try.
Another one of my all-time favorites! Great job again!... haven't had time to watch your Christmas video but will definitely try in the near future Do you have a kalongi(stuff karela) video up yet? If not, could you please? Tkx. Keep up the great work Mathew
Matthew, I am one of your followers, can you tell me what kind of flour you used to make the chicken patties, this is my only question, is it normal roti flour or pastry flour, do you also glaze it with egg white on top like pineapple tarts. Please reply. Ranie Sookram.
Thank you for the recipe! I love that you showed us multiple ways to shape the patty 👍🏽👍🏽

Thank u for the chicken patties recipe.
Looks so good! Do you think I could use boneless skinless chicken thighs for this instead of breast?
Yup of course! You can play around with any meats to use.
Matthew's Guyanese Cooking thanks so much for responding. Happy Diwali.

👍👍 thanks for sharing
Hi Matthew, about how many patties this receipt makes?
Looks good! Thanks for sharing☺
Thanks for watching!
Do you use convection or conventional oven to bake the chicken Patties and what oven temperature and how long you bake them?
Regular conventional oven. 350 degrees Farenheit
These look delicious.Tfs. Can I make them the night before and leave them on the tray to be baked the following day. If so should I put them cold in the oven or let them come to room temperature first . Thanks in advance for your answer. I will like to make some for church
You can definitely put them in the fridge and then back. Remember when the dough is cold then baked it is better because it will be flakier.
Matthew those looked awesome. Does the chicken need to be chopped fine like that or could it be a little chunky? I really like this Recipe
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed. To be honest traditionally it's fine like this but it is totally fine to leave it more chunky. Really depends on your preference. I hope you give em a try.
Matthew if u don't have a food processor what cud use instead of it ?
You can chop it really fine. Or you can fry up ground chicken

You should do this on TV. UK would love you.
Great recipe you can also add green peas to the chicken mix
Matthew, what kind of butter you used for your pastry dough?
You can use the unsalted butter sticks and add salt into the dough. Or use salted butter sticks and don't use salt in the dough.
Thanks definitely going to try this
Hope you enjoy
What did u use to make the dough

A job well done sir⭐️

You can find them at Ross or Marshall's. I have also seen them at Walmart nd Target. You can also find them online. Its a bamboo material I believe

I really want to make this but I dont have an oven. would this work well in an air fryer? :(
Yes this will work in an air fryer. Don’t put it on too high of a heat though.
