Why wash off the greenish subtance of the spinach with hot water😮? The hot water you poured usurped all the Nutrients in the vegetable. If you washed it properly with ordinary water & salt, no need to pour steaming hot water in it, cook them like that so it can release its greenish subtance in the soup and it will be tastier. The greenish substances is the Chlorophyll and that is the real deal in the vegetables or spinach, its an antioxidant good for the body. Once you wash it off, you end up eating only chaff. Thats why its always adviceable to wash vegetables before cutting so as to retain strongly the chlorophyll.
Honestly, there was nothing left in the veggies, nice recipe but washing the veggies with hot water is not a good one all. We don’t just eat for taste, our body needs the nutrients too. Very nice recipe but…❤
@@lindapatrick5992IKR.. We Do this because it helps to release the excess water in the spinach otherwise it will make for a watery soup. I am still trying to figure out a way to do this without retaining the excess water in the soup.
I understand your point, but it doesn't bring out all the nutrients. You can see the spinach is still greenish . Just to release the excess water from the spinach
@@Mywatercrystaltv Hot water softens the vegetable so that you don't cook it for too long which also makes it look black instead of green , yes nutrients is lost how ever not so much , on the other hand if you are that stingy you can keep the water for drinking .
I love your content and you have good thumbnail am a new youtuber too,but am so curious you have more views but why are they not subscribing, I face the same thing in my channel but you are having good views
Sorry, African Spinach is different….. because it is harder and if you do not blanch it…. It is not nice at all. But perhaps, the European Spinach might not need it, but the problem is that I tried it without blanching and it was just horribly watery…. So the recipe is just for the African spinach.
You would have added your catfish with the peppers and cook to allow it properly cooked and exude its taste, flavor and aroma to the sauce before adding the spinach and not adding the spinach as soon as you added the fish. So please next time do a better job.

Thank you. Please what is the essence of adding hot water to the spinach.
Add the cat fish to the pepper sauce so it cooks with a lovely taste.
Where can I get this spinach from
It is better you use hot water on the leaves, drain and chop to retain the green chlorophylls which is important nutrient.
Please get a silicon spoon for your nonstick pots you’ll dent your pots with that metal spoon
Your type is rare and I love you sis ❤️
Thank you so much 💓

Why do Nigerians call stew soup?
Is soup...
No way, this is not soup..this is Spinach sauce..😊😊
It is also spinach sauce, which you can eat it with rice or boil yam, but I prefer having it with swallow
@@gloyoungfamilyvlog3714
It all depends on what you call swallow..because some call eba swallow which is rather chewy..

My thoughts right there... You sliced them precious baby spinach open und washed all the nutrients out under that running water...so sad ... sad...

Your catfish was not cooked, you would have added . You just added the spinach as soon as you added your fish, wrong method of cooking vegetable soup.
