It was one of like the most craziest MoshPit and I got a blackeye during their set it was insane. At the time I was listening to a lot of punk rock and thrash and death metal and I honestly thought the pit was going to be tamed and it was not it was just as hard as a Slayer show. What a time to be alive!!! The 90’s were awesome 🤘

The thing that always impacted me was how much heavier they sounded live than on the albums. They really kicked ass HARD. I remember they got ridiculed a bit early on, but no one who ever saw them play live ridiculed them again after that. Absolute killer band live.
After watching all these live shows, listening to the studio versions is disappointing! I’ve not seen anyone so damn good live! And Daniel became quite the showman too! They were something special!

Two words: Raw Talent. The rhythmic pulse of the chorus is awesome. Johns could really bring it back then. Not really any singer/guitarists/songwriters at his level even to this day.

Other than being a novelty, the record was nearly forgettable. As you pointed out,Jerry Cantrell was the conductor in AIC- producing their their signature sound. *there is no denying however hearing Layne sing those haunting verses “Wake up....not sure if that’s the title but you know the one I’m talking about.
