Such a good band and incredibly underrated in my opinion. They don't get the respect they deserve because everyone wanted to look at them as Nirvana clones.
I Respec they much n sometines i hear they more than Nirvana very good songs ideas
They had their respect in 90's and early 2000.
I don't think they are underrated in Australia.
They are awesome. One of my favorite bands. Loved how they evolved. Diorama is a masterpiece.
Definitely not underrated in Australia. If anything one of the highest noticed bands and awards in Australian history.
How tf was Daniel John's playing this well at like 14 or 15 man wtf
100%. I consider him a prodigy to have written and performed the way he did at such a young age. Amazing vocals too.
He is a musical genius
Time and dedication
Prodigy
Silverchair is definitely my favorite band in my life, and I really enjoy seeing them being recognized by many musicians, thank you and YOU PLAY A LOT ❤
I always wanted to be born at a time when they were still together, and that they also came to Brazil, but things didn't work out, anyway, I would really like them to be truly recognized, silverchair is a history too C:
A lot of younger people say they have never heard of Silverchair which always blows my mind. I'm like really? We gotta spread the word!
What ? I’m 15 and have almost all there songs in my playlist including there b sides except some young moderns
The members of Silveware (my high school Silverchair cover band) salute you sir 🫡
And I salute you all!
when i play a SC song with my band we are then Silverhair.. old farts.
Excellent video. I was waiting for "Hollywood", but it never came.
Thanks! I didn’t even think about that one honestly!
Faultline is underrated, jam out to it every time it comes up on my Spotify playlist!
It will never cease to amaze me that these guys dropped their first album and got big when they were only 15-16, like wow
14 - 15.
I played Frogstomp for my teenage kids recently and then informed them that these guys were their age when they put this album out and toured the world. It let them know to dream big and believe in yourself.
They were all 15
Is amazing!
Some great tones there and loved some of the song transitions. Appreciate the work you put into this whole video
Não tem como somente escutar somente o primeiro trecho, o vídeo ficou espetacular!
Silverchair are awesome 😎
Hay mucha influencia de Nirvana
This is an awesome compliation of riffs. As someone who recently bought an electric guitar to learn, I was inspired by bands like Silverchair / Foo Fighters and this is very motivational. Thanks for putting this together 😊 your skills are incredible.
Thank you! Silverchair's early songs aren't very hard to play so they're great for learning guitar. Rock on!
That was tight dude! mad Hagstrom's too- my favourite riff is The Greatest View
I came here only to see how many times you'd have to switch guitars 😂
Awesome for you to perform guitar riffs for every Silverchair songs, Donnie! : )
Silverchair have a lot to teach us, as guitar players.
Absolutely awesome! Go the Chair 🤘
falou o fiscal do riff deixa o cara fazer o trabalho dele em paz invejoso
Awesome tone!! Especially on young modern songs. Love that album with all my heart. Great video!!
1.frogstomp
2.diorama
3.neon ballroom
Silverchair is the band that influenced my songwriting it’s sad that they are so underrated
Same here! Cheers!
Your videos are great, if you can watch our videos, we are a tribute band here in Brazil
Just did, nice work guys!
Also really good sound and playing man this sounds better than the band themselves lol
I go back to this clip every few months for some motivation. Wish you didnt make it look so effortless. Squad goals I guess!
Silverchair riffs from Frogstomp and Freak Show aren't that difficult to play, but I did struggle trying to do that in front of a camera. Cheers!
This video is so good! Been a huge Silverchair fan since the release of Frogstomp and are still listening to them to this day
11:10 to 12:17 best Silverchair riffs 🔥🔥🔥
Love 8:43
And all the rest
Beautiful work ❤
Uma Banda se vários Sucessos.... excelente Banda.
God Silverchair was amazing! I worshipped these guys in high school. Their first three albums were perfection and their 4th was a great experimental sound. I was so excited about their future! But then the inexplicable, soul-crushing abomination known as YOUNG MODERN came out and blew everything to Hell. I still regard it as my single most hated release that any of my favorite rock/metal bands have released. Their other four CDs have gotten hundreds of spins each….yet I have only managed to endure YM about 3 times, teeth nearly cracking from the extreme cringe each time. 😬 I LOATHE it! But before that, I was on Cloud 9 and fully believed that Silverchair were the future of rock music. And I fiercely defended them against any haters in my school. You got all the major riffs, although I would have liked that final chorus of “One Way Mule” included.
They are still one of my main influences when I write songs. I admit it took a while for me to appreciate Neon Ballroom and even longer for Diorama, but it eventually clicked and I understood what these two masterpieces are about. You are absolutely right about Young Modern though... I actually forced myself to include at least two riffs from it!
The one riff I regret not including is the chorus to Too Much of Not Enough, because I just couldn't figure what Daniel plays. All the covers on YT are played differently and there's no live version where I can watch what Daniel is playing and his hand position.
Glad you liked the video and I suggest you stay tuned, I will definitely do more Silverchair in the future!
amazing, thanks
Bro you absolutely nailed it. Incredible job man 👏
No Point of View bruh? U scared? lol nah good job bud
Thanks! The one I do regret not doing is the chorus for Too Much of Not Enough. I had too much trouble figuring out the exact chords that Daniel plays, and covers on YT are all played differently.
Neon Ballroom and Diorama are 2 of the greatest albums!!!
What amp(s) or amp model(s) are you using for these? I've always been pleased with the Saldano tones he had!
OK, I see you have a Jet City (Saldano in sheep's clothing)! Nice!
Yep, and the Jet City 50 and 100 watt amps happen to be Mike Soldano's Hot Rod circuit, which is what Daniel actually used since Freak Show. The Jet City goes straight to an impulse response of a Marshall 4x12 with Greenback speakers.
Very Nice!
Incredible work ! Thank You !
Wow 50 riffs . Probably Paint Pastel Princess or The Door my fav
I think Point of view should have made it into this list. Solid picks all around though
Ya but it's not there. Thanks for watching!
@@DonnieDistortion You're welcome. Thanks for putting up this little showcase. Point of View is kind of a pain because it's likely the one song that doesn't really follow the others (at least until Diorama. i'm not too familiar with Young Modern Station honestly) as it's supposedly tuned up rather than down as most Silverchair songs that aren't in Standard tuning. Cheers :)
Freak show,um dos melhores álbuns da vida e o melhor do SIlverchair!!Maravilhoso!!
Nice Guitar! great job
You're an excellent guitarist! It's amazing to hear all of these riffs in succession.
Where's Point of View?
Same place as all the other riffs I didn’t put in the video.
Where is the I miss you love?
Not there!
nice video!!!!
Fuckin' great, man! Aewsome 😮
Amazing man!!! Absolutely awesome .. yeah 🤘🏻👊🏻
Awesome job! Really helpful to get started with learning the rest of the songs. Keep it up!
Awesome video, thanks for putting in the tunings aswell, didn’t realise so many were in drop d
Nice mix and playing. Killer distortion sounds too!
Awesome!
This is so incredible! Thank you for sharing. You are so talented! Silverchair is so good and their discography is mind blowing and such a beautiful journey.
Thank you so much!
How can I get this tone
A tube amp with good distortion, cab with Greenback speakers. That’s all it is!
One of my all time favorite bands grossly underrated
Daniel e um genio incompreendido.Se ele voltasse pro silver seria o renascimento do rock pos rede sociais!
Holy shitballs! That is one well put together video. Well done sir! All these riffs instantly took me back to my teens :)
Thank you! Glad the video could take you back to a good (I hope) time of your life!
This is why paige Hamilton gave him a guitar
Amazing job, man! Thank you very much for the video. And is a great compilation for the tunes to play the songs.
Thanks!
Очень крутое видео, тем более про такую легендарную группу.❤
Cheers what a entertaining quarter hour Rockin non stop
Классная группа, и видео тоже интересное.
Silverchair is the band i love the most!
11:50 So heavy
Best rock band of all time
Good evening, your video is very good, can you tell me which amps were used please, a hug
That was a Jet City JCA50H. There's a video about this amp on my channel, you should check it out! Cheers!
Just me that sees their comparison to nirvana insulting. Johns is a far superior musician
Too many people can’t help themselves comparing everything and everyone, and also as if Nirvana were the only ones allowed to write guitar rock. Too much gatekeeping if you ask me.
fucking epic bro
Very cool. You really nailed the tone.
Not me over here singing along to every part with lyrics. Great job man! 💗💗
As many as I could though
Amazing 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 thank's 👍🏼
Oh yeahhhhh
Did you use amps/pedals or all plugins? Which?
I used my Jet City JCA50H amp with an impulse response of a Marshall 4x12 with Greenback speakers.
Really nice!
Good work mennn very good
Holy shit what a vid man, what a vid!!!
The only small tiny bad thing is that you didnt have cicada there ;(
Thanks so much! To be honest, Cicada is one of my least favorites so I decided to not do it.
@@DonnieDistortion damn, man, I guess to each their own, but I personally enjoy it. Still, a bombastic vid man, thanks for all this work
Great video man!
I like your outfit
EPIC !!!!!!
Great tones. What mics did you use with the IRs? Specifically, Tomorrow or Frogstomp songs.
Thanks! It is the same IR/mic/mic position throughout the whole video, the Two Notes "BritGreen" with the "Bass88" mic (beyerdynamic M88, which is the actual close mic used on Freak Show as per Nick Launay).
@@DonnieDistortion nice! By the way those Hagstroms sound really good.
@DonnieDistortion another quick question did DJ use fuzz on Without You or is it pretty much all Soldano?
@@clfnole To MY ears it sounds like amp tone for the whole song, I don't hear any fuzz. Now if he used his Soldano 100% of the time, very hard to say. A lot of trickery can happen in a recording studio!
Bravo!!!
Where is I can find the backing track dude?
I created the backing track myself. All drums programmed and bass played by me.
Really love your tone. What's your set up please?
Guitar -> Jet City 50H -> Marshall 1960BX (Celestion Greenbacks) impulse response
love this video
I like your guitar (white one)
It’s a Hagstrom Super Swede from the previous series. Cheers!
Bro ur face is like nowdays of daniel
Lol
Great! Gear used??? Thanks 🙏
Jet City JCA50H amp and IR of a Marshall 1960BX with Greenbacks.
Where do you get the backing tracks?
I made it myself. Programmed all the drums and recorded the bass track.
@@DonnieDistortion sweet man sounds good
Du k🎉🎉🎉
What?
i’m sorry but i heard way too many riffs that totally ripped off the real grunge bands…. jesus christ
… and?
You Fd up some tunes, but great work anyway!
Ah well, thanks anyway!
This is one of the best Silverchair tribute on the internet I reckon@@DonnieDistortion
Which ones?
@@screambluemurder101 Spawn Again comes to mind
@@rafaelcabralwilliams "comes to mind"... you're not very convincing. Try again. :)
Ana's song o cara ficou só nos acordes......🤮🤢🤮🤢🤮 Acorde não e riff
Umm... what?
@@DonnieDistortion isso mesmo, ana's song você não tocou os.riff apenas acordes
@@wedsonalves2888 I played what Daniel Johns plays live, and that is the riff for the chorus. Be happy that I'm wasting my time justifying that to you. Cheers!
@@DonnieDistortion se você posta vídeo, esteja pronto para as críticas...
@@wedsonalves2888 I have nothing against constructive criticism, as it can help with future content, but I will raise a middle finger to childish "puking" emojis and comments like yours that make no sense. FYI, a succession of chords IS a riff.
Nice job! I had totally forgotten about some of these songs.
Love seeing someone playing Hagstrom as well! Easily my favorite guitar brand.
