Wish you safe journeys and adventures with your family. We really hope to get busy on our Tiki 21 yet this summer. Have been working on ours nearly as long.
I have a Tiki 21 myself. Took me 3 yrs to renovate, it has been in the water on a mooring for about 18 months now. I have really appreciated watching your experiences. I plan to haul mine out of the water in the not-too-distant future to replace deck, standing rigging and buy new sails. I liked the look of your sails, dyneema rigging and your deck. I would like to ask you a few questions regarding these?
@@paulnorfolk3699 ok I’ll see if I can add a contact to my UA-cam page. I’m currently in north Idaho so I’ll mostly be sailing the lakes and rivers around here. Planning to get out to the Washington coast and puget sound and also Southern California where I’m from originally.
Excellent launch day and friends and familly day .. When the wind moves across hills and cliffs ..you will get dirty unstable air.. Even at sea a long way off islands and headlands have a noticible effect. Get some of the round portable solar powered lights ..to light up your interior at night and deck for moving arround. They are usually just push to switch on. The other addition is no seeum mesh On opening hatches and vents .. its the only way to avoid getting bitten and ending up with something like dengui fever etc.. as they are spreading N fast.
Sweet boat! I’m considering building a Tiki 21 of my own. Any idea what your towing weight is? I’m hoping it’s feasible to tow one behind my little Yota.
@@TheCarouselCowboy thanks! Don’t know the exact weight but probably somewhere around 1000 pounds. Shouldn’t be a problem with towing, my friend tows one with his 4 banger Toyota pickup.
Thanks for the reply! I figured about as much. I’ve got a 4cyl Tacoma with a pop top camper in the back. A Wharram on a trailer behind it is the dream setup for me. I’m currently deciding whether to build or buy a Tiki 21 before moving on to a bigger live aboard in few years. Thanks for the vids and inspiration!
Maiden voyage with family and friend, I'd say it was perfect!
That’s for sure!
Beautiful boat. Enjoy the journey ahead. 🤗
Thank you!!
So happy for you seeing this floating out on the water. That's so great!
Thanks Thor! Pretty exciting!
Stoked! Glad to see her finished Scott, you did a nice job, like the trailer setup. Cheers!
Matt! I’ve been meaning to call you and fill you in. Thanks again for all your inspiration!
Well that's exciting! It floats so smooth looking off the trailer. Crispy sails. The boat is happy. Cool.
Oh man, what a feeling!
Well done, nice job on the build, and good that the maiden was without incident..sure she is going to give you many adventures..
Thanks so much!
Congratulations on launching, and on your first "sea" trial! She looks magnificent.
Never thought I’d be launching on a river, but here we are. Thank you!
You built a beautiful boat!!!
Thank you!

Is it weird that I just instinctively knew that was in Idaho? 🤣
Well, technically it's Washington, but right on the border....it definitely has a "look"
@@svprimitiva Yeah. I grew up there. 🤣
Cool place to go sailing! 🤪
