Yep .444 marlin is my standard go to. The. 444 for me personally has been my straight walled big game cartridge..... sort of. It has been a very versatile case over the years for me. As a 444 has taken many harvest. Leaving you a empty case for 358, and 375 JDJ. Today I own neither. As for my single shot 410 I actually reload them with ffg black p propellant as my energy source 😉 😜. As for slugs there is a few hollow base conicals that I wouldn't mind trying. However because I am who I is a pillow ticking patched. 395 round ball works pretty good

NOT that I don't know how to reload, just making a point that, why do a very few NOT show how to completely reload from beginning to end, and some do a FULL reload from tumbler cleaning to gluing the 'shot/load' disk in place??? I wish people would get it together and start following each other's lead one way or another instead of some saying that it's a NO-NO to show and tell, while others completely educate us on reloading from beginning to end. I understand NOT showing us how to make bombs, etc... But reloading is just an ordinary day for most folks who enjoy it. I'm here to see what I have yet not learned and tips and tricks like available shells compatible with using in my 410. I tend to stand by channels that are very educating in ALL aspects of ammunition......... BTW, I probably wouldn't go beyond using .444 Marlin because I don't need 3" bras shells that bad just to waste material blowing off a blank just to stretch a shell for reloading. And, like you said, it may take a couple 'blows' to stretch a shell..........

      @@USMC-Sniper-0137 Good afternoon brother!
      OK here is a overview.
All us content creators have the same rules to follow. Some dont know, other dont care. Thinknof it like a ride on the free way. We all know the speed limit and we all know we can probably get away with a lil over but if we go flat out, we will likely get caught.
Well thats kinda like uTube. I value my channel. I value bringing everyone content so I try to abide by the rules. There rules are no showing of manufacturing ammunition.
Now, do I feel there is a problem? Does my showing create a safety issues or a legalities or even moralities issues in my showing you everything in reloading? I DO NOT.
BUT UTUBE DOES, so because it, is "by there leave" I am here and I can post. I try to follow there rules. Frustrating for sure!
I am here and reply to every and all

It's always a great start to the day when I open up YT and there's a new CW video posted! You may have answered these questions and I just missed it.
    1. When you're annealing the brass do you still hold it until you start feeling the heat? I know you're going by color, I'm just curious if you have to change anything because you're heating more of the case.
    2. Would a similar process to loading these be used to make shot shells for other cartridges, say something like a .357 or 44?

      1) Yes altho at these pressures, softening into case head isnt as big a worry.

I came across a video a few years a go on youtube showing fire forming 9.3 x 74 R brass for 3" 410 use. I annealed brand new brass to start. The video showed using black powder. In the video the man had great results fully forming after once fired. The video was before youtube banned showing how to load ammo so how much powder was used and all other info was given. I started out with the same amount of FF as shown in the video but my brass only expanded around the first inch or so. I increased the amount of black powder over 5 loads and the best results I got was roughly half the length 9.3 x 74R cases fire forming.
It has been since before the Covid 19 shut down that I have done any reloading or shooting. I should get back on finding the right load and get my brass finished so I can stop wasting money buying factory over priced hard to find ammo.

Cw I have a question in regards to 9mm so I have the Lyman 356637 mold. And I noticed no matter what I do with the taper crimp the casting is being swaged down to .356. Now I’m not extremely upset about that because that’s the size the Lyman manual uses. What I’m curious about is if we are supposed to size 2 thousands over bore. How or is it even possible to do that with this mold ???? Between the seating depth being 1.058 and the 9mm case web I just can’t see how it would be possible to size this casting 2 thousands over .356 and not get swaging. I also took a look at my brass and the case walls are roughly .12 thou so again between the case walls the web and the seating depth I’m stumped. The finished cartridge works no leading but I think if I could get that extra .2 thou it would preform better. Sorry for the unrelated question/comment

@@DrewDiaz I think it would be OK. But no I didnt. I did anneal much farther than I ever would with a CF case. But the pressures of a shot shell are sub 15k. Most all rifle rounds are +40 and still more are +50k. In them ya never want to soften the case head.
So Id say 80% of the case should be about right. But its OK here to experiment as dangers are quite low as long as your following safe practices and watching for signs.
Remember these loads are FAR FAR from a "flat primer" sign.
