Really great video. We just installed the Dasaita android radio in a 2011 Toyota 4-Runner. The only exception is that the 2011 the radio brackets are gapped out by one inch. Removed radio brackets, all fit perfectly. The Dasaita radio is light enough to not worry about weight.
I have a 2022 TRD Pro and I had so many issues with install. The mounting plates don't mount flush, had to drill holes for dimples to fit. But even then, the screws that hold the plate to the device makes the mounting hardware canted off so that the top is flush and the bottom is not. Def needs some more work for a plug and play. We had to modify a lot to get a clean install
@@ericacsabon6113 I just did a 2023 a few weeks ago for a friend and although they were a little bent, it did not impede from installing into the vehicle. Turned out great without modifications. Sorry you went through that!

Such an in depth and highly informative install video. One of the best yet! I just installed my G12 in my 2015 4runner today and the install went very well thanks to your vid lol. The unit works great but everytime shut off the vehicle and attept to lock the doors my key fob does nothing. After approximately 3-4 mins the fob works normally. Have you experienced this? Thanks!
@@skiddism Dasaita wanted me to ask you this: “Are other related functions normal? For example, are door open hint, reversing screen, and steering wheel control normal?”
@ProjectAbate Yes, all other functions are normal. I noticed this evening after shutting off the 4runner the lights on my window switches stayed illuminated for 3-4 mins. After the lights went out my key fob functions normally.
I have a 2010 and the backup cam is on the rearview mirror (there isn't a screen on the headunit). Would I have to reroute the cable going to the rearview to get the backup cam to work on the dasaita? Did anyone have this issue?
I like how similar this looks to the newer screen. Would you replace a 2021 4Runner screen that looks a lot like this one? It definitely doesn’t have the same feature by a mile
Hi! To answer your questions- yes! You can have music playing on CarPlay and go to your units home screen and it will continue to play. Additionally you can have the radio playing and control it while in CarPlay using your steering wheel controls or the buttons on the unit!
Mine isn’t laggy at all. Do you have a bunch of apps open? Also, if you hold the volume button pressed down, it’ll turn off the system and reboot it. That might help.
@@ProjectAbate I haven’t received mine yet. I just saw in ur vid that when you swipe on the screen anytime besides on CarPlay app page it works great but when you swiped on CarPlay app page it wasn’t as fast U haven’t noticed that?

I'm curious why you decided to replace the OEM 2022 radio when it already supports carplay?
