i’m sorry my question to you does the dome light act like factory another words when you close the door the light turns off by itself and you open the door the light will turn on or do you have to push the button every time you want to turn the light on.

@@stunt101 the current way it’s set up, you cannot use the OEM microphone. I think an aftermarket harness is being developed but right now I do not believe there is a solution

I do firmware updates via a USB flash drive. MCU updates I tend to do over the air because they’re much smaller

Great video, can you please walk me through an update install. I have the exact same head unit. I’ve only had it for about 4 months now. I haven’t had any issues but, if there’s an update available and it allows the unit to run smoother I’d like to install the update. When I went on the Enfig website to purchase a microphone, there were two options to choose from, what option did you choose? Thanks, Ryann

@@rhino4602 thank you! If you can reach out to me via IG DM I can send you a link for update package. You basically take a flash drive, even if there’s nothing on it you erase it. If it’s via a Mac, you use Disk Utility (native app on Mac) and erase the drive so it’s “fresh” with nothing on it. You then use the download link to download the file. You MUST put the file on the flash drive in the format it comes downloaded. In this case it is a .zip file. Mac’s tend to unzip stuff when downloaded. There’s a setting you can deselect in your browser that does not allow a Mac to open safe files. This will prevent it from being unzipped. If it is unzipped and you try to rezip it, for some reason it is not the same and will NOT work. Once the file is downloaded in the proper format, and put on a USB flash drive, you go to your car, plug it in to the usb port cord, and turn the key until the car is on. I found it doesn’t always appear if the car is not started. Might be a power supply thing to ports. After a few minutes you SHOULD get a pop up saying there’s an update on a local drive. If not, you can go to the head units apps, and click on the software update one. You click the settings wheel in top right corner and select the .zip file you downloaded to your USB flash drive. It’ll ask if you want to update and erase the unit. I’ve never erased it but I’ve proceeded with update. It is very important you DO NOT disturb the unit while it’s updating. Let it do its thing. Just sit there and let it go through the whole install until it reboots and is done. That’s it! I ordered the “Enfig MIC-TOY1 - Toyota and Lexus Factory Fit Custom Microphone - Send "without" 3.5mm to 2.5mm converter”. After ordering that from Enfig, I contacted Dasaita and asked to purchase an adapter that allows you to plug in a 3.5mm jack to the head unit. That’s it! Plug adapter into head unit, plug 3.5mm jack into adapter and follow the UA-cam install video I made for the Enfig microphone and you’ll be good to go. Hope this helps. Cheers!

@@ravi365 I don’t think I ever said I calibrated a torque wrench. I rented it for that exact reason. I don’t have any that are calibrated for me to use at my house. If I misspoke, I was intending to say I set it to a certain setting

Can you upgrade the 2.5k camera to a 4K. I find it bad for the eyes to look at. the picture on the front camera is better

@@kpp235 I do not believe Wolfbox offers an upgrade at this time. You might be able to find an aftermarket one but I have not yet checked

@@frostbite303 thank you! They are associated with Diode Dynamics which I have for ditch and fog lights and have been extremely pleased with their quality as well as customer service. I have Alpha Rex tail lights, and I’m happy with them. I feel like these headlights are the newest ones to hit the market so maybe that’s why you haven’t heard of them. Could be wrong though. Thank you! Always something to change or work on!

@@KingSev the way it is wired now, it comes on with the b+ wire when the key is turned. It will receive power from it initially, and then when you hit the Auxbeam switch, the power is then supplied from ACC wire. A second push of the Auxbeam will turn the dash-cam off.

​@ProjectAbate Yes, all other functions are normal. I noticed this evening after shutting off the 4runner the lights on my window switches stayed illuminated for 3-4 mins. After the lights went out my key fob functions normally.

@@armourbl Wolfbox sells a direct mount for the 4Runner. When I ordered the Wolfbox G900 I added the mount to my cart. Then you just screw the Wolfbox into the mount!

I think it’s meant for those who do not have a backup camera in the first place. I made a follow up video where I relocated my camera, and I did not use the red wire/reverse light option

Do they rub and is your 4Runner lifted in the front and the back? I am trying to decide if I wanna do 285s/70

@@4535goldenage yes. I have a 2” or 3” lift. It rubs only in the front when I’m in reverse with the wheel fully turned left or right. It’s minimal. You can push the wheel well liner forward and fix the issue but I’ve just been lazy and haven’t done it yet lol

Hi! To answer your questions- yes! You can have music playing on CarPlay and go to your units home screen and it will continue to play. Additionally you can have the radio playing and control it while in CarPlay using your steering wheel controls or the buttons on the unit!

Mine isn’t laggy at all. Do you have a bunch of apps open? Also, if you hold the volume button pressed down, it’ll turn off the system and reboot it. That might help.

@@ProjectAbate I haven’t received mine yet. I just saw in ur vid that when you swipe on the screen anytime besides on CarPlay app page it works great but when you swiped on CarPlay app page it wasn’t as fast U haven’t noticed that?

Hi! So I don’t believe there is a way to disable the internal mic from the settings. I think they work in unison. Hope this helps

I found that they actually BOTH working. I was under the impression that the mic on the console should not work when you install the enfig mic. I wonder how to mute the mic on the console then I can see if there is any quality improvement. If I find a way, let me update you. Please try to blow over the mic on the console to see if you hear wind noise still that way you can see if they BOTH working at the same time.

@@circlecreeper I didn’t want any issues so I just went the adapter route although splicing would probably be fine

Did you check all the connections are properly hooked up and in place?

@@ProjectAbate Yeah unplugged checked everything Had no audio and no steering wheel controls and radio stations would not get picked up then they started working after a while but Audio was Gone. How much memory did you get with your Unit? I had 8G-256G but not sure if its worth the $80.00 Extra.

@@dunnoyolo2238 I went w the larger size one. Wanted the RAM. Maybe you had a loose connection that resolved itself or something lol

@@ProjectAbate Hi. Thanks for attending my issue. In the box I received a harness Aux in &F- Cam in (1 yellow, 1white, 1red). The other one Audio Output & Cam in (2 yellows, 2 whites, 2 reds, 1 green) I just the swapped the yellows but keep the same. Do I need to swap other cables/colors?

I do not know off the top of my head. The install guide shows which you need to swap in case the video is not displaying. Have you followed those instructions?
