We cannot escape the fear of this number and what it may mean for our girls and women, raped and stolen, enslaved and abused. What it means for our tortured men, boys, fathers and grandfathers, still denied dignity and freedom. It seems as if the world can do anything they want with the Jews paying the price for negotiating with the devil.
October 7 is continuing to dominate our lives because until the hostages are freed, none of us can breathe. None of us could imagine that we would still, 9 months later, be holding our breath waiting, praying, agonizing, and fighting for survival.
