- Join along as we have another good day of weather and we can get the plows rolling till rain shuts us down. The John Deere 4640 gets the saddle tanks put on and closer to planting ready. Thanks for watching along.
Looks great and anyone complaining about greasy hands try staying clean working on equipment it's not possible unless you wear gloves all the time but alot of the time it's safer with out gloves
I’d definitely buy a Duffy cup !!
Great to see you turning dirt
The view is awesome! I have never been to that part of the United States at all. It looks so beautiful!
Word of advice, cut strips of rubber from an old inner tube and put in between the hanger and the frame of the tractor, it saves the paint
Thank you for the pano view. I miss that part of the world.
😀😃
Just get a 3 point sprayer boom and you are set for crop spraying .You already have the guidance system .
I was thinking the same thing when he mounted the tanks that they could be used for spraying.
Looking good Duffy keep up the good work . the planting will be with you soon , your doing vary good for doing it on bye your self.
Ran that same set up in the late 70s and early 80s.
4640 fwa with the tanks.
You will definitely like it.
She will handle it fine.
That cup looks awesome.
I would absolutely buy a least 2 and i know my dad likes the channel who used to work for fleet pride, and he would love that.
Love the daily vids look forward to them every day! The interesting but hilarious things that happen just like the horn 😂 make it all worth it!
Those are the John deere replacement steps. I personally really prefer the Shoup ones. That looks great with tanks
Love my vevor mag drill. Just drilled frame on semi to install wet kit
Good job keep it up.
Nice view chris!!
JD Equipment. The building that tractor sold out of is now a Sunbelt Rental in suburbia. Times really change.
Patience is virtue when farming wet ground
Those is going to be a necessity with them tanks Weaver on saddle tanks on a bunch of different factors
Ground is looking good.
Great video once again, Chris . So glad to see you back to turning dirt on your own farm . Congratulations on all the hard work and determination to succeed. Showing everyone who said you couldn't make it that you can and you will . 💪💪💪
We had saddle tanks on our 4640 too. My dad made a spray boom out of angle iron so we could spot-treat bindweeds while we plowed. The boom ran underneath the tractor.
Your tanks have much nicer steps than ours did. We also didn't have that 60 series step kit or the steps on the right side.
I think the mug would be a great merch idea ... would look very sharp with the green AG
Try replacing the Schrader valve on the stem on the gauge wheel. That's probably whats leaking since you didn't make bubbles anywhere on the tire.
Could always put the toolbox on top of the front weights on 4640, gets done around here
If you had a set of duals on the 46 wow I drove a 2wd john deere 4450 and with the hub duals on it thing was sweet
Be sure you like tint, I personally don't.
Grandpa steps were the best thing to come along. And yes they are after market.
Take a picture of the dealer decal, there are a few that make them up just like the old ones.
Hey Chris with those saddle tanks on you could cultivate corn with that tractor and put 28% nitrogen on your cultivator… that’s it how we do it .. and we love it !!
Yes u should good advertisement for ur business
Love the night time sound track, Killdeer and frogs are great night sounds. For your planting and cultivating I'd see about 14 9 R 46 tires for the rear. Same height as 18.4-42, but half the width.
And a hell of a lot of money
If you get a new tire for the plow that's the same as that tire that's on it have it foam filled. We foam filled the front tires on all our tractors that were 2wd no more headaches.
Period correct is the steps on your tanks!
Wasn't really paying attention to what is on saddle but period correct on a 40 series is the step on the right hand side where you get up to wash your front window. That's exactly what was on the left hand side to go up to the deck by the door.
Duffy, I have a suggestion for you to get you greasy hands clean. Go to your grocery store and buy some Dawn Platinum Power wash soap , it comes in a spray bottle and foams out when you spray it. Works great to get your hands squeaky clean.
Why would he do something like that 😂
Cause it's cheaper works great
Thats what i use on the farm is the dawn foam soap
But some orange clean or whatever it's called it comes in a orange bottle
I use clothes washing powder, takes it right off.
👍👍👍
🚜🌾
Nice tanks, makes a macho tractor👍👍👍
Chris I am also newly single again. sadly I eat alot of ham sandwiches 🥪 chips and all the bad stuff. it is hard to cook for 1 🤷🏻♂️
Well there is several John Deere greens they just used the green for a different series
I would put the cup in the store
If you need scrap steel to make a bracket or something, don't forget your parts truck....go cut a piece off the back of the frame or hitch area behind the wheels. Use a leaf spring or fuel tank strap. Endless possibilities, just cut it off.
I love the videos!! When is the 4640 getting duals put on it?
I have 5 things from vivor Jim Swanson Oregon Ohio
Well the tanks are going to be nice until it gets dark. Unless you add some lights on the tank mounts in the front you won’t see jack!! Might want to address that before you hit something, that would not be good.
All in all, that's gonna help you ground. Dry out quicker, turn it and let no one blow over it.
Just put steel gage wheel
Love the content! Ur going places!
Well atleast you have some new 38s off 46 to put on 7520 when you go to 42s on 46
Get you a 250 gal tank to go on the front with them weights are and a 90-foot spray boom
90 ft spray boom? maybe for 1000 acre fields.
It looks like you're gonna have to add another step in between so Yanko can get up in there
tractor looks good
Duffy is talking more and more about “Period correct” and what “looks right” makes me me wonder if he is still YouTubing to farm or farming to UA-cam.
Quit over thinking it.
Send it.
Love the videos, when is the 4046 getting duals on it?
I live 10 mile from plain city ohio like your videos cruel world out there keep your head up
Don't knock the 4640 , best rig on the whole farm .
Paint and decals don't make it run any better.
We put steel wheels on our plow. We’re just running around on the farm. They’re gonna transport it down the highway. Did you put the rubber back on the wheels?
Are you having duals this yr
wieh those tanks you can use them like a sprayer too wich you need
I’ll get a cup
Can you not foam fill the tire on the plow?
That dozer you got on the property. Did you buy it?
What about steps for Yanko??
When you going to put duals on the 4620
4640
Hey Duffy could I be your farm hand live with you?
4640 need 20,8 38.
20.8 duals with fluid. Make a 4640 a beast for the horsepower
18.4/46 speed her up on the road. bigger diameter increases your speed.
or then 520 85 38. basically the same as 20.8 38
Ok I agree should have the taller tires. I could be wrong but I think you could have left the steps on the left side just turned them straight out and put tanks on the other way ahead swap sides but I could also be wrong. but I will give you one warning that I do know for a fact. do not run those tanks until you get some duels because when you try to plant the hills the fertilizer gets sloshing and could tip you right over no joke seen it happen. Lots of damage to the tractor and the planter the tanks were a total loss.
Strawberry rhubarb crisp or pie.... yes sir good eats!
I suspect that laying tile lower than it already is would require explosives. The hanger plates for the saddles need to be thick to deal with the wiggle-wiggle. You're going to want to get full plates at some point. You want some kind of diagonal stay as well on each side as well tbh or get a triangle with three holes for the replacement hangers so you can 2-bolt on the frame.
He really needs 1/2 material all round with a diagonal brace. That is a lot of weight. Hope he don't find out the hard way...
I was hoping that he would double up the thinner plate steel weld the corners good
I use to work a jd dealership and there was 2 different green, one was classic jd green for older equipment and jd green for newer equipment i just dont quite remember when they changed.Keep up the good work!
The gauge wheel on the plough needs to riding on the land , taking load and establishing your rear depth. Otherwise the poor trailer wheel take all the punishment.
I have ran saddle tanks for many years, they can be a pain some times but overall I like them! I put my starter in my saddle tanks and the 2x2 on the planter. Use to have another set on another tractor with a 3pt sprayer but I don't use that anymore got a larger pull type sprayer
It was JD EQUIPMENT now AG PRO
Hey Chris get you some airplane tires for your plow. We run them on the front of our loader tractors here down south because the limestone around hay barns and roads tear up the front tires
Pretty sure 4640 came factory with 20.8-38. Which would make it sit level . 18.4-42 is very close to the same overall height as 20.8-38
Yes you should put the mugs on the site for sale for $20
Chris that was great it worked I like it thank you for sharing and your time fantastic can't wait for next video
The cup in JD green 🔥🔥
Glad to see the Channel seed corn! Hope you have a very successful year of farming!
I think you should do those duffy ag mugs/cups there nice
Looks good! But needs Dual’s
Yes please so i can keep collecting them.. i got mfer, larson, and someone else that i forget atm
If you had some ceramic coffee cups that said Duffy ag I’d duffiantley buy one 😂
That unevenness may actually help you as far as drawing those tanks. If the drain is in the back anyways, it should drain better with that slight backwards lean
LSW Sponsorship for tires right.
That's great your turning ground
60 series steps👍
Duffy, are the cups good quality ? Tks
I would by a couple if they were goid quality Thank you, kerp plowing that ground my friend
Hell Chris enjoyed your video. They certainly were lazy paint your tractor the previous owner. Have a good day.
Maybe do the tumblers on a pre order only. Then you won't be stuck with a bunch of inventory.
4620 looks a beast with the tanks on. Defo need to put the duels back on to get the proper finished look.👊
I got the mag drill with the bit set. Game changer. Thanks for sharing vevor products
Great video. Looks to me the tank just needs a little adjustment in the holder, it kinda got twisted in the brackets?
I can see you keeping them cattle .until they die of old age . 😂
Put a little manure around your rhubarb and it will really take off.
i would buy the travel mug if you sell them online
Hows your baby and your girl doin
Used Aircraft tires!!
I love the videos!! When is the 4640 getting duals put on it?
I would focus on your combine and Kenworth truck they need to be fixed
Why focus on them when it’s much more important to get fieldwork done and planter tractor ready. You must not be a farmer!
combine isnt needed till fall and he cant do anything with the kenworth till the engine comes back
He will . Just before he needs them...
Waiting on on the block for the kenworth and trucking to get money to pay for farm inputs so combine will be fixed this summer he said one thing at a time
I need a new drink mug for the shop, if you are putting those on sell I will take the first black one!!!!!!!
I have plenty of the large 32 oz. cups. But, if you’re thinking about smaller ones, I’d be in for coffee size…..20-22 oz.…… if they will be available. I’m not a big fabricator, but I bought that drill with the bit set. Very handy. 🫡
