Depends. I slept last years like 6-7 (11-12 pm to 6-7 am) hours per night and i did very well. From 18th in the class I reached the top 4. And I didn't copy paste like others. So stay focus 😎👍
I'm a one who get straight A+ in exams and... I don't really do what u said in here (like sleeping and stuff) but what i do similar is that I pay attention to what matters in class from teacher... then I don't study at all except 1 day or 1 hour before the exam (depends on how big it is).. but really what is important is that u understand how ur curriculum works through the years.. understanding that will save 99% of ur effort and make u get higher marks... It's not really sth special or make us smarter Tho... it is just that we figured it out..
As a person who has been doing these things subconsciously without even realising, I can relate to what is told here. I usually study just ahead of exams and still top my class. I barely even study for about 30 minutes but still remember everything.
7. hmmm, I dont believe in sleep as I mostly just get 4 hrs of sleep a day, but i'll try 6. class stuff is too easy sometimes so I don't pay attention, instead I do harder stuff. 5. ithis doesnt seem true, but I feel like this guy is right 4. Yes, please listen to this guy. 3. Or just stick it somewhere you stay at most of the time. 2. uhhhh, sure. This guy is right in a way, but I don't really recommend chatgpt as it is better come up with your own ideas rather than something else's. 1. this one is a really good one, this method is actually really helpful.
The reason people who "study less" get better grades isnt because they have some secret method, its cause they're able to keep up while most students who say they study more and get worse grades and because they most likely fell behind. Its just how it goes if you wanna become an excellent student, the start will always be the toughest part.
As an eight grader, I am quite a smart dude. Not a nerd. I dont even really learn anything at home. I learn almost everything at school. And I only get 90s and 100s. A great thing to do is to be super super SUPER focused on what the teacher is explaining. You need to understand in class. Then, train your photographic memory. Trust me.
rhyming and making a song indeed works! ive done that before and I remembered a whole dang 2 pages long poem in just 15 minutes while rhyming but it doesn't work for me know since i made that whole concept with my friend but shes gone and I dont seem to get the technique done...
Use the traffic light method(use colors like red for something you dont understand at all yellow for something you kind of understand and green for the things you understand) you can track you progress like this to know what topics you need to foucus on.
My advice as a straight ace in high school is to connect the dots, if you know what does this concept do, you can do the hardest part of it. For example, if you want to learn formula of speed, the first thing you need to learn is the the basic arithmetic, unit measurement and speed, after that you learn its theory and how speed have that unit of measurement, etc. Who knows by doing this you can understand why does the speed of light is 299792458 m / s
1st: just study! The best way to improve. 2nd: dont use quantity and assume it as quality 3rd: do revision or pre-lesson tasks, yeah, everyone knows revision is important. But imagine going in class knowing nothing that your teachers say, you will prob dont know what key words to drop down. 4th: clear everything in your mind during class, what i mean is to clear those things like scrolling vids or musics or whatever. Just be like another person just for school everything in your brain should be academic related, you could chill during recess or lunch, but never during class
The visual concept is worth applying! Ive did this before even knowing it, though my teacher made a random diagram during delivering a lecture, but all I remembered was that diagram and though i was the first and only child who remembered the whole concept of the lecture through that diagram or doodle she made on the white board.
Visuals really do stick, huh? One random doodle and bam, you remember the whole lesson! Maybe mix that with the rhyming next time-could be the ultimate combo! 😄
Summary Sleep Well Adequate sleep is crucial for cognitive function and retention of information Establish a consistent sleep schedule to ensure you are mentally alert during class Engage in Class Pay attention and actively participate during lessons Asking questions and focusing on key points saves time in revision later Visual Notetaking Instead of writing plain notes use drawings and visuals to link concepts This enhances memory retention by engaging different brain areas Optimize Time Efforts Use idle time such as while cleaning or commuting to absorb information through podcasts or audiobooks making studying more efficient Use PostIts for Revision Write difficult concepts on PostIts and place them in frequent locations around your home This technique allows for passive learning throughout the day Create Mnemonics Utilize acronyms songs or rhymes to help memorize complex information These memory aids can simplify studying and make recall easier during exams Brain Dump Technique Regularly practice brain dumping where you write down everything you remember about a topic This helps to organize thoughts and boosts memory retention
Sometimes if I don't remember what work I have to do for each period, I just list them in order and try my best to remember what I have for that class and I repeat that process step. by. step.
I’m “that guy” in my class, and the tips I use are only 6 and 3 also I don’t spend all afternoon studying, but playing war thunder, I only study when I don’t understand a matter or I have a difficult test. Another thing, I recommend you when copying from the board, have a organized and clean notebook, so all the information will be easily understandable, good luck 🤞
If I can I consider myself as the student that learns less than the others but still get like 95% on most of my test. (I am in 12th Grade, Switzerland)Here's what I think of learning and I think it might help some people: With sleeping much and have a fix routine of sleeping I totally agree. What helps too is have an activity that you do during the daytime, where you can think about things that you want. You can do it while walking, jogging, meditating ... With always paying attention in class and asking questions I partially agree. Yes, it helps but sometimes the class is so boring you can't listen to the teacher without your ears falling apart. With sticking notes all over our house is fr ridiculous. But fr. Subscribe to him haha. So what is most important to me? 1. You need a positive attitude toward school. You want to go to school 2. You need to know your strength and your weakness. In some classes you must be dominating the others while in other class you can just be on your phone and do nothing. It's okay. But the question is how do I get good mark if I am always on my phone? Valid question. Here is my answer: You need close friends who are good in some subjects that you don't. And in the classes where you are dominating they are bad. So before your test you can carry your classmate or the other way. Sit together like 3h-5h and he tells all the important stuffs that you learn in the past month. IF HE TALKS YOU MUST PAY ATTENTION. If you don't have friends that sucks. Now how do I learn? The most important thing is to understand and NOT to memorize all the words without understanding. For example: You have a test with 10 Questions with answer A,B,C and D. You pass if you have 70% or more correct. What is the probability that you pass the test when you guessing all the answer? Now what you must do is to understand what type of question that is. What do you use for these type if questions? When do I use binomial distribution? Always when you have a n,x,p and q you use that. What does over 70% mean? So the sum of x = 7,8,9,10 while the other remains the same n = 10, p = 1/4 and q = 3/4. What is the formular. Now don't try to learn all at the time. Learn every topic individually so you don't mix them all up. Try to understand when you use nCr, nPr ... What if it's too difficult for me to understand? That is okay. A new topic can be challenging. Perhaps it helps when you reread a few times. Otherwise I recommend watching videos on youtube how people explain the topic. What is important to is you need to know how to learn each subject. French is NOT chemistry and you need to learn it differently. Like for french words you can use Quizlet and for chemistry you can watch videos. Try to find out what is your type of learning in each subject. This might seem strange but you need to know what kind of person your teacher is and what he wants from you. Do it how the teacher wants and not what you think is good. Some teacher make it these ways and some others. Try to get used to them and the type of test they are doing. You need to know how good you are in each subject and give the time you need to learn these things. Perhaps for french you need 4h and Chemistry only 20min. Don't think like "I'm gonna learn 2h now" but " I learn until I get this topic" So I think that's most of the things I wanted to tell. Thx for reading the long text. If there are any questions you can ask and I'll try to answer. Good luck on all your tests🍀
It's simple, in my class the students that study less get good grades because they have a friend that knows every answer and they just copy from that friend! What a genius
Damn, this is really effective video. Likewise, the word idiot hits in my ego and helps me to prove myself by doing better! THE INSPIRATION TECHNIQUE IS TRICKY......🤫

if u r one the many A graders in ur class but yet desperate to outstand them in marks then, learn the topic down from roots > apply it in different cases > remember the outcomes like rythms as said hereremember to question WHY
@@TowfeeqSharif well, after a few weeks of trying these methods and other study techniques, my grades is now quite well ( usually 8.5-9 out of 10). I suggest using some apps like Notion or Anki to active recall your knowledge to boost your memory.
one thing i would like to add is to just straight up think about the subject/topic constantly, forget about what ever drama is going on b/c it will be worthless once its over. basically just think to your self "the mitochondria is the power house of the cell" or "a mole of any compound or element has the same number of atoms/molecules in it"
Ive been doing something which is weird but works . So first of lets say i have to study biology . And the lecture is about an organ ( brain for example) , first you pay attention in class about the lecture when you get home immediatly read the whole lecture 1-2 times . Then rest for like an hour or 2 , then do it again but increase it to 2-3 times. And rest again . And AGAIN read it but increase it to 3-4 times . That is it you learned the lecture . And also all of these take like 10-20 minutes which is an hour a day or if you are a fast reader and have good memory , you can do it in 30-20 minutes . Hope this helps someone
Lol I am That Guy in class who gets the good grades without studying, and the main points that i do all the time are: Pay attention to class, very important but make sure you pay attention to what matters Understand the important stuff And apply what you learnt, homework is usually pretty boring but teachers send it for a reason, mostly to use what you learned in class which will make it alot easier to get that information stuck in your head. (Also liking the subject makes alot of difference too)
I'm that dude(top of the class and 4.0 GPA with very little studying at home) for like 6 years straight now. I could say that all of this is effective and I already been doing half of them for a while now. Except writing stuff down, because the very presence of pens and papers instantly make me feels bored due to a mild form of ADHD.
It surely is . Btw I recently found your channel, the way you explain is the literally the best. I am in high school and I desperately needed some guidance, you really helped a lot .
This is a method I *think* I invented: When you want to remember a specific word, or letter, for example- the year 1942, you just need to recap the thing while watching, listening or doing things, like - "I remember one time doing 19 reps and then got home and slept immidiately" from this, I remembered the year 1942. Hope it helps:)

@@theangryexplainer i aced it man!
Depends. I slept last years like 6-7 (11-12 pm to 6-7 am) hours per night and i did very well. From 18th in the class I reached the top 4. And I didn't copy paste like others. So stay focus 😎👍
Watching this while studying, thank you!
I just needed this scolding ... thank you very much... now I know exactly what I need to do
Now I do understand why are you calling yourself 'The Angry Explainer'. Thank you for your help bro!
As a person who has been doing these things subconsciously without even realising, I can relate to what is told here. I usually study just ahead of exams and still top my class. I barely even study for about 30 minutes but still remember everything.
7. hmmm, I dont believe in sleep as I mostly just get 4 hrs of sleep a day, but i'll try
6. class stuff is too easy sometimes so I don't pay attention, instead I do harder stuff.
5. ithis doesnt seem true, but I feel like this guy is right
People underestimate just how powerful sleep is. look into it if you want
Thats what I needed. Thank u so much. Thats the best combination of angryness and teaching. God bless u.
The reason people who "study less" get better grades isnt because they have some secret method, its cause they're able to keep up while most students who say they study more and get worse grades and because they most likely fell behind. Its just how it goes if you wanna become an excellent student, the start will always be the toughest part.
Your "idiot" word literally made me think .. Am i really idiot?😂
Tq for this much effort to motivate us ❤...u gonnabe most famous yt channel soon !
Ayy, thanks! Let’s hope you're psychic, ‘cause I’m ready for that fame! 😂
You motivate me like my class topper
Yup, making songs is a fun way to study! Sucks your friend isn’t around anymore!
i had my last exam today but imma still watch it cuz its your vid 😝😝
Haha, appreciate the dedication! Hope your exam went well! 😜
Use the traffic light method(use colors like red for something you dont understand at all yellow for something you kind of understand and green for the things you understand) you can track you progress like this to know what topics you need to foucus on.
1:50 bro knows that I’m watching at1:14AM
This is so useful, I'm one day away from my final exams
Likes all your content dude, it really helps me a lot👍👍
Thanks, bro!
as a straight a student i don’t agree with ,,ditching the stories” since it has helped me a lot while understanding material(especially in history)
Bro, I had to subscribe. Your channel is ‘PERFECT’.
Wow, thanks, bro! 😎
1st: just study! The best way to improve.
2nd: dont use quantity and assume it as quality
3rd: do revision or pre-lesson tasks, yeah, everyone knows revision is important.
THAT WORD "IDIOT" GOT ME FOR SUBSCRIBING 😂
BTW... LOVE YOUR WAY OF EXPLANATION..NOT GETTING BORED ❤
Summary
Sleep Well Adequate sleep is crucial for cognitive function and retention of information Establish a consistent sleep schedule to ensure you are mentally alert during class
Engage in Class Pay attention and actively participate during lessons Asking questions and focusing on key points saves time in revision later
Visual Notetaking Instead of writing plain notes use drawings and visuals to link concepts This enhances memory retention by engaging different brain areas
Optimize Time Efforts Use idle time such as while cleaning or commuting to absorb information through podcasts or audiobooks making studying more efficient
Use PostIts for Revision Write difficult concepts on PostIts and place them in frequent locations around your home This technique allows for passive learning throughout the day
Create Mnemonics Utilize acronyms songs or rhymes to help memorize complex information These memory aids can simplify studying and make recall easier during exams
Brain Dump Technique Regularly practice brain dumping where you write down everything you remember about a topic This helps to organize thoughts and boosts memory retention
Sometimes if I don't remember what work I have to do for each period, I just list them in order and try my best to remember what I have for that class and I repeat that process step. by. step.
love the way of explaining
Thanks, bro! 💙
THANK YOU SO MUCH!! You change my life for better way! 😊👍
4:03 When I write, my brain was forced to get what it is saying, not the other way.
If I can I consider myself as the student that learns less than the others but still get like 95% on most of my test. (I am in 12th Grade, Switzerland)Here's what I think of learning and I think it might help some people:
With sleeping much and have a fix routine of sleeping I totally agree.
You want to go to school
2. You need to know your strength and your weakness. In some classes you must be dominating the others while in other class you can just be on your phone and do nothing. It's okay. But the question is how do I get good mark if I am always on my phone?
Valid question. Here is my answer:
You need close friends who are good in some subjects that you don't.
Don't think like "I'm gonna learn 2h now" but " I learn until I get this topic"
So I think that's most of the things I wanted to tell. Thx for reading the long text. If there are any questions you can ask and I'll try to answer.
Good luck on all your tests🍀
I'm THAT guy in class and trust me I don't know how. I'd advise you to be extremely quiet and fully pay attention to what the teacher says.
Ain't that easy for everyone
Nah u just a "☝️🤓"
It's simple, in my class the students that study less get good grades because they have a friend that knows every answer and they just copy from that friend! What a genius
The "you idoit" made me subscribed to you
another tip, be lazy so you want to write less so you understand the concept so you can shorten answers. is it just me or does it work for you guys
Haha, lazy but efficient, I like that! 😄 If it works for you, go for it!
Damn, this is really effective video.
Likewise, the word idiot hits in my ego and helps me to prove myself by doing better!
THE INSPIRATION TECHNIQUE IS TRICKY......🤫
for those who think that this video is a lie, i am that one guy who doesn't study and gets an A+ and i can ensure that this video is true and approved
Thats me already tho. But the video is great like always. Keep up the great work. Just had a look for your Prompt collection. Seems to be pretty useful. I'll maybe buy it when I have some money left over.
Thanks a lot! 💙And no rush on the collection, it’s not going anywhere! 😄
You just exposed my trick and my routine! How dare you! Grr!
Hahaha
brooo you have 4k subs now. it was 500 before w🎉 w video
Brooo, thanks for the heads-up! Crazy how fast it's grown! 🎉🔥
if u r one the many A graders in ur class but yet desperate to outstand them in marks then, learn the topic down from roots > apply it in different cases > remember the outcomes like rythms as said hereremember to question WHY
Just one word man,
THANKS!
You're welcome!!
Absolute wonderful advices 🎉
Thanks. I will try these methods now and comeback to tell the results =)
Awesome! Can’t wait to hear how it goes. Best of luck! 💪
How'd it go?
@@TowfeeqSharif well, after a few weeks of trying these methods and other study techniques, my grades is now quite well ( usually 8.5-9 out of 10). I suggest using some apps like Notion or Anki to active recall your knowledge to boost your memory.
I'm already, "That guy," when it comes to math, and all I do is pay attention to the teacher, and I remember how to do forever.
One trick I did was giving myself a rival, someone to challenge me and make feel like there was a higher purpose to studying👾
Nice! Turning studying into a competition, I like that! 👾
@@theangryexplainerGotta give my mind something to focus on 👾
one thing i would like to add is to just straight up think about the subject/topic constantly, forget about what ever drama is going on b/c it will be worthless once its over. basically just think to your self "the mitochondria is the power house of the cell" or "a mole of any compound or element has the same number of atoms/molecules in it"
Bro i love your vids the best you tuber in world i swear❤
Lol I am That Guy in class who gets the good grades without studying, and the main points that i do all the time are:
Pay attention to class, very important but make sure you pay attention to what matters
Understand the important stuff
And apply what you learnt, homework is usually pretty boring but teachers send it for a reason, mostly to use what you learned in class which will make it alot easier to get that information stuck in your head.
Thanks for that bro❤
Any time! 😎
" you idiot " is the most 2 words that motivates me in ur vids lmfao 👻
Haha, glad 'you idiot' is keeping you motivated! 😂👊
I love the way he says “ you idiot "
Glad you love it! ‘You idiot’ seems to be a favorite 😂
It surely is . Btw I recently found your channel, the way you explain is the literally the best. I am in high school and I desperately needed some guidance, you really helped a lot .
the worst part is thinking about the exam where where everything is included in it while you focusing studying that one lesson
Can we get a counter on the amount of times bro said IDIOT 😭😭😭😭😭😭💀💀💀💀
This is a method I *think* I invented:
When you want to remember a specific word, or letter, for example- the year 1942, you just need to recap the thing while watching, listening or doing things, like - "I remember one time doing 19 reps and then got home and slept immidiately" from this, I remembered the year 1942.
Hope it helps:)
the thing about studying is that its easy and it grantees 100% success rate the problem is its boring and mentally exhausting
love this channel so much, and although i am a currently a straight A or B student, still, everytime he says "you idiot!" after his statements with the slap noise just makes me laugh each time 😂
Haha, those are the best parts of the video for sure! 😂 I love doing that!
@@theangryexplainer loll
anyway keep up the great work, I like to watch your vids once a day during supper, and I'm sure a lot of us love your humor and your channel too 💙🌟
