My BIGGEST tip for anyone is to think of life as one big SPEEDRUN. Trying to speedrun everything makes life so much more fun because you’re going for a better time rather than just completing an assignment you couldn’t care less about. Like in the mornings, I get up, start the stop watch on my phone, get ready for school as fast as possible (even discovering tricks to be quicker) and then I track my times. Might not directly help you be motivated to do a science project, but it’ll definitely increase your baseline dopamine
That's not how it works, you have to make smaller improvements daily instead of doing all at once. This is also said in the Japanese Method of making improvements *Kaizen*

1. Ask yourself why your grades aren't where they are supposed to be: a. overwhelmed (too much on your hands) - cut down to make room for stuff that matters b. distracted (you're just distracted by too many things) - silencing phones and turning off notifications - time limits - put the phone in a different room - declutter your mind and space - white, pink or brown noise c. struggling (struggling to grasp information) - leverage every resource - study partners and AI - the Feynman technique d. lazy (you're just not bothered) - Passive studying - re-reading textbooks, rewatching lectures, highlighting notes - Active studying - doing practice questions, pretending to teach others, rewriting notes in your own words - visualise yourself getting your goals - visualise your worst nightmare
4:06 What you said is true. I just entered 11th grade a few weeks ago and man its not easy. I come in both, the overwhelmed and struggling categories. I was a straight A student ( not all the time, like 90% of the time) And when i met other students who were better than me, i couldn't believe it and eventually i did what Gohar said, I had to let go of my ego. Now I am working to improve my academics. Thanks for the advice man.
I'm in 11th grade too. Man, my academic performance in 10th was pretty good. But now that I'm in 11th, I'm so overwhelmed by the amount of portions. I chose a science group thinking that I could do well. But in reality I am so overwhelmed by the amount of content in this group and how hard it is. I had two complete cycle tests over the past two months and I did horrible. I got hit twice and I won't let it happen once more. I now perceive the regions where I went wrong and I'm provoked to correct myself. I had a hell lotta ego, I won't lie. But now I'm ready to let go of it and try to become a better me.
One of my biggest comebacks are in math. I had 66% to 84% overall. But in math it was a big difference. Went from 16% to 94%. Not only it is high grades but it was highest grades in my class. Math was my weakest subject but it is my favourite subject now. I also started to get interest in the theories. I had some days, and I had to make my base strong. With days of hardwork, I achieved this. Once the flow is made, it must not be broken.
I am struggling with your old problem right now.... your comment inspired me so much 💙🔥...btw if you have more tips that help me just let me know plz 🙏🏻
@@KahaleObay in math. So do some set of questions and mark which one is hard, and practice those questions. everyday you do math for atleast 1 Hour. Main thing is that you don't have to take it as a burden. If you started getting interest and fun you can do as much as you can. One day I did a whole unit(206) questions In one day cause I had interest and courage to do it.
tbh i went from F to an A in a week its just that you have to believe in yourself and work hard. and this sudden change of me going from getting F to A got in me because i got bullied when i got F. work hard guys im praying for yall comeback
You couldn't have uploaded this video at a better time, I've been pretty much struggling with all the 4 points you mentioned, I went from a B student to a D and F student in a matter of a few months, I'm trying to improve on it now. Thank you for making this video Gohar, I'll try my best to adapt to the advices you gave.
4:07 hit the nail on the head. I went into Algebra 2 Honors this year thinking I was the bomb, and barely studied. Started off well but then failed two unit tests in a row and had to seriously lock in and cut the “smart kid” arrogance that I’d always been able to get away with. I’m now studying and staying after regularly, happy to report much better grades.
9:46 I do both active and passive study, it's better because when I read the textbook it clears all my doubts and after that, I try to do some practice questions and highlight the important points.
Take frequent breaks and monitor your mental health. Try to find and stop the sources of your pressure, or use mindfulness techniques to better your stress tolerance. Keep calm, follow Gohar's advice, and try your best!
This has helped me a lot not gonna like, my exams are starting in 3 weeks and they are coming very quickly. I'm struggling keeping my focus and i know i can easily get straight A's if i focused. And i was more of a passive study person but since i saw how much of a difference this makes I'll start changing the way i study thanks a lot and hopefully I'll come back here with good results in about 4 or 5 weeks
Hello, Gohar. I want to let you know that even though I am in school, Your videos have still helped me out a ton. I used to be an excel in my classes. I couldnt score a good grade and fell from 96-97% to 88-89%. This is my very last promise to myself, and to everyone else that trusted me. For me, a brilliant kid in 8th grade(going into freshman year) where I was in NJHS(National Junior's Honor Society). Thank you so much, this was exactly the video I needed! I’m a high school student and I went to a very small middle school, so I never had to study and still got good grades, but now I’m going to a school of about 1600 students and I just don’t find the motivation to study at home since I never had to. The advise with the AI is great. I used it multiple Times now to explain me things in way less time than normal and I could ask my Personal questions. Thank you so much for the advise. I am doing a "comeback" right now and it really helps :D
ok challenge accepted i got an f in the last semester in dynamics , tho i was the best at it in the high school the reason was me not making my Summaries as i did in high scholl and cause i was too arrogant so the best posible grad i can get is b+ given i failed last semester and i just dec only 5 grads in class work so far including the midterms so i will come again after the finals to give you ان شاء الله the grad of b+ in dynamics showing you are wrong you became a new motivation gohar
I'm consistent honor student, I always aces our exams and get a straight 9's, my highest grade is 98%. But now I lost my passion and feel mediocre. Everything that I do seems mediocre, I study everyday but nothing feels right anymore. I'm worried that my parents expectations in me will turn to disappointments. Even though it's clearly not working I still want to give it a try. Life is not a race, I'm going to make my academic comeback again. Manifesting with high again this sy☝️✊🤞🤞
i was in this situation just this past semester. Midterm grades I had a C-, and at one point even had a D in Accounting II. I started going to the library 3 times a week and dedicated half the day to studying accounting and for other classes. I found that an environment that I'm not so familiar with (i.e. my bedroom) allows me to focus a lot more.
the reason why academics are low are cuz am lazy, and distracter although i tried to stop by my self i cant after i had seen your video my life completely change like i got 93,95 but before i seen your video i got like 81,83 thank you so much khan you have changed my life

1. Ask yourself why your grades aren't where they are supposed to be:
a. overwhelmed (too much on your hands)
- cut down to make room for stuff that matters
b. distracted (you're just distracted by too many things)
- silencing phones and turning off notifications
- time limits
- put the phone in a different room
- declutter your mind and space
- white, pink or brown noise
c. struggling (struggling to grasp information)
- leverage every resource
- study partners and AI
- the Feynman technique
d. lazy (you're just not bothered)
- Passive studying - re-reading textbooks, rewatching lectures, highlighting notes
- Active studying - doing practice questions, pretending to teach others, rewriting notes in your own words
- visualise yourself getting your goals
- visualise your worst nightmare

@ChristabelOrie Mostly just showing that even if you're extremely smart, ir something, you're still responsible for your work. And yeah, I did kind of add a little too much honestly
Gohar, you are like a motivator for me. I am following you from last 1 year. And last week my finals grades were out i scored 94% and i was just so happy that i finally made academic comeback ❤
Gondar, I got my results for English today and they were C’s. I’m usually a straight A’s and B’s student, I will use the tips, thanks mate. ❤
Thanks Gohar, your video really helped me and now i will really give it my all
This is great! Thank you so much. I’ve been really struggling and this has really helped me.
The best study video in all of UA-cam no cap this is life changing
Hey Gohar, I've been watching your videos for a while and I went from 61% in freshman year to 94% in junior year. Thank you for all the tips and tricks, they helped a lot.
Thanks man, I really neede this wake up call. I've been mindlessly watching youtube videos for a couple hours now without even studying for my exam in about 3 days from now so thank you, thank you so much.
Last semester of junior year
This advice is definitely gonna help, appreciate it gohar 🤝
I understand your pain bro, I'm also a junior. Teachers are throwing projects out like candy and the grind is for sure real rn. Stay strong and finish this year off strong my lad
yea i don’t understand classes having a project after ap exams. they should really just let us breathe a sigh of relief after but no
@@davidtran9455 they are always so pointless as well. No learning going on.
Yo same but we don't even think of college and don't choose our classes. We just study to get a good gpa and Especially to GET a HIGH grade on the national BAC exam.
the interesting thing is that i'm subscribed to your newsletter the studious student and just read it a few mins ago. it was on this exact same topic and now I'm watching the video!! great video and thank you for making me realise what an awesome student (academically) i was. I NEED TO GET IT TOGETHER AND ABSOLUTELY KILL IT THIS YEAR!
Two views, 28 seconds. I have finals coming up, and I was playing TF2 just as I got the notification for this video. A sign from the heavens! Thank you Gohar, and I will get to work immediately.
Gohar...I don't know what to say. It kind of feels like your in my life and help me to succeed! I really need to get a good grasp on your content as well as doing so too for helping. Each time I watch your videos, I feel like your right there next to me taking notes on what wrong I'm doing. Right now in high school... Thank you so much for your support in helping me!

I am struggling with being distracted and grasping the info. Does anyone know any tips and tricks to help with that?
Distracted: Going on UA-cam during zoom meeting on computer.
Struggling: I don't understand content they say even with full concentration.

3:33 gohar pls respond, I’m in grade 9 and my PATs (starting with ELA) start next week Monday as of May 27, I do want to ask but I’m seriously socially awkward, introverted even, please is their any other way or way of improving social awkwardness?
It really hit hard, accepting that I'm struggling I was the ‘ Young Sheldon' type kid until grade 10, but starts to struggle this year and this wasted my whole year and now even exams are ended and I've nothing instead of regret
I have gotten an A but I want to get that A+
So for every like I'll study 1 hr

I have my middle school graduation exam in a month and the test exam in a week im screaming 😭😭 tysm for this
Thank you so much, this was exactly the video I needed!
I’m a high school student and I went to a very small middle school, so I never had to study and still got good grades, but now I’m going to a school of about 1600 students and I just don’t find the motivation to study at home since I never had to. Tysm ❤
Man this really helped me! i can finnaly have the motivation to study on my finals! Thanks❤i will tell the results after the finals
Thank you very much, Mr. Gohar and everyone in the comment section for your positive words.
The advise with the AI is great. I used it multiple Times now to explain me things in way less time than normal and I could ask my Personal questions. Thank you so much for the advise. I am doing a "comeback" right now and it really helps :D
thx gohar so much u turned me into a genius in 1 year and now studying feels relaxing i went from grade b+ to a* im 12 thank you and ur the best
Ive done some of the stuff in the video mentioned and its done wonders, made me go from an 85% in honors language to a 95% by the end of the semester
ok challenge accepted
i got an f in the last semester in dynamics , tho i was the best at it in the high school
the reason was me not making my Summaries as i did in high scholl and cause i was too arrogant
so the best posible grad i can get is b+ given i failed last semester
and i just dec only 5 grads in class work so far including the midterms
so i will come again after the finals to give you ان شاء الله the grad of b+ in dynamics showing you are wrong
you became a new motivation gohar
Bro thats mt exact percentage on the thumbnail
DUDE I NEEDED THIS THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!
My gpa is like a 2.71 ( my previous worst was a 3.76)
REAL i got all four, bad at EVERY SINGLE subject, and adhd.
the reason why academics are low are cuz am lazy, and distracter although i tried to stop by my self i cant after i had seen your video my life completely change like i got 93,95 but before i seen your video i got like 81,83
thank you so much khan you have changed my life
Love these but I can never find them when I need them
good luck, wish yall all the best with ur exams and finals 🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤
thank you so much. i needed this. hopefully i can raise my gpa from 2.2 to a 2.5 with this
I will edit this once i get my grades higher if i never edit this i never got better grades
I swear the last 3 months of the school year activates something in me
