The issue with using big pals is them getting stuck on the higher hotsprings and clip throough then get stuck Side Note: Coordinates -360,8 Build on the raised platform of Ice Wind Island it can fit 3 bases side by side by side or just two and have the 3rd one on a seperate Ore Farm. If you center them enough u can have them seperated by about 3-4 foundations and have a graple area or a bridge gap area to swing back and forth. Also high enough that you wont get bothered by random raids.
The viewing cage isn’t available on dedicated servers (my friends and i found). In my solo game, I do the same with the merchants. The tip i have for dedicated servers is to rename your merchants as they walk round the base. Currently, i named ours Cake Ingredients, High Quality Pal Oil, and Ammunition lol
There are some videos showing but the idea is you stack 3 benches on top of each other. You then select to build a farm, jump and select on top the third bench. Destroy the third bench, repeat for the second bench. Last, destroy the last bench and place the farm on the ground/foundation.
I really like this layout. With the addition of placeable ore farms with today's patch I'm looking for something like this to really amp up my main base. I keep rebuilding and rebuilding and I'm never happy with it.
If u have multiple tiers and have different things on different tiers, do the pals just stay on one level or do they wander off or get glitched through the floor or ceilings when you fast travel? In a 1 story house my pals get stuck on the roof a lot
i would like to ask how do you prevent your pals from disappearing from the breeding farm. At one point i made a 2 floor breeding farm with 10 farms. 5 below 5 above and i always found that the pals on the upper floor always goes missing whenever i teleport back to check on them while the ground floor pals were all fine. It became so annoying to keep picking them up and placing them back in that i just destroyed the upper floor then only used 5 breeding farms.
As far as I know, players haven't found a way to deal with that yet... and I believe that it's also one of those issues where only some people encounter it, so it's pretty hard to find a solution. I will definitely make a video about this once we discover a solution for it
Lol I made the exact same kind of slave cube as well. It's the logical beginner base to test things tbh. I gave mine symmetrical staircases at the back of the base similar to the staircases in mansions that branch left and right. Wastes a bit of space but looks nice lol.
I hope you manage to read my message. 2:15 How did you do that floating walls above the entrance? No matter how I try it doesn't work. Are you using mod?
I don't know if you discovered it already, but you need to connect the walls to a roof. As long as the roof is supported by other wall, or roof, that is connected to a foundation, the walls should stay in place. You can build the walls, place roofs over each foundation at your desired height and then remove the walls you want to.
I placed a foundation directly where I want my Palbox to be. Next, I just built 5 foundations outwards going into 4 directions (basically making a big plus sign)... and then I just filled up the rest of the tiles to make an 11x11 square. As for your other question: You can place a roof as long as there is a foundation directly below it, doesn't matter how far it is vertically. I explain it more here ( ua-cam.com/video/wNkcFa1jtuw/v-deo.htmlsi=Ndu2i5cqwZrzTO1Y&t=131 ) at 2 minutes 11 seconds into the video.
My main base's location only has one path way for the enemies and their spawn point is also pretty close, so I usually just take most of them out before they get to my base
You want to be just far enough that the game can still render the pals on your other base. I'm not sure what the exact distance is, but most people just look for a wide open space that can accommodate 2-3 Palboxes

can you send coords of it?
-359,8 its a really nice location. @@flw-4103
Yes coordinates please!!!
coordinates -360,8@izingdeath9603
I wish there is a structure that allows expansion of base area like a watch tower or smth
u can get a mod that increase the size. i dont have it but well worth a look into it if you play single player or if u run a server aply it there.
Use a 2nd palbox
underrated! really great advice now i want to rebuild my base all over again aaaa
Excellent build, like the organisation of it. Thanks for all the tips on pal pathing.

Took me way too long to notice the modded armor...now it can't be unseen.
viewing cage merchants so smart
can you make a build tutorial for this?
Lots of great ideas, thanks!
Is that normal for the armor?
I dont remember seeing all that skin
It's skimpy armor mod from nexusmods
i feel like some bigger streamers saw your stacking method for berries and they are all doing it now too.
This was quite informative. Though, how do you stack the crop plots?

I think you can stack up to 5 farms

How do you leave the gap in the wall for a door like you have there? Mine complains that the walls are unsupported
This is a fantastic base, with some great ideas. Thanks for your tips!
Waiting for server admin settings for the amount of bases to go up. Also to have 20 Pals at 1 base too
props that's one nifty looking base. simple and effective.

Try making the floors at least 3 high. 6 is absolute most tho
Lol I made the exact same kind of slave cube as well.

if you're gonna relocate your one base that is far away. Where in the map you would place it?
Thank you for that, I like it a lot! I'll try this design immediately 🙂
How are you fitting 11*11 in your radius? Also how do you have open walls at the bottom and then able to place walls on top?
I placed a foundation directly where I want my Palbox to be. Next, I just built 5 foundations outwards going into 4 directions (basically making a big plus sign)... and then I just filled up the rest of the tiles to make an 11x11 square.

Best base showcase I've seen, bravo 👏. How do you deal with raids?
My main base's location only has one path way for the enemies and their spawn point is also pretty close, so I usually just take most of them out before they get to my base
Or u can turn raids off 😂
how close do i have to have my bases? same island? or island close to each other?
You want to be just far enough that the game can still render the pals on your other base. I'm not sure what the exact distance is, but most people just look for a wide open space that can accommodate 2-3 Palboxes
I swear my pals work better when I'm miles away from base.
The base looks great, but what happened if an enemy raid takes place? Will their AI bugged out or will they able to enter the base?
So you made a commy block
Why didn’t you add walls to the side?
Side rails where you get those?
Iron Fence is from the barricade set at level 48
does anyone know what the skin mod is?
How to put palbox on foundation?
You need to build a 3x3 foundation platform, it can be glitchy
what mod?
if you're talking about armor, it's skimpy armor mod from nexusmods
What’s the location of this area?
It's on the flat area directly beside the Bamboo Thicket waypoint (-345, -200)
7:13 do you care to explain yourself young man?
Omg I paused to see and burst into laughter 😅😂
its my 'break room' 🗣🗣
Bro has a dedicated room for gooning 💀
How are you lining up the walls so perfectly? The tall ones dont snap for me
they dont snap but you can overlap the pillars on the side of defensive walls a little bit to create a wall with no gaps
It looks like a prison
Right. My anxiety was walking away like "what is this?".
That’s a pal prison
Bro are you a Filipino ? cause you sound like one :)
omsim
Viewing cages arent a thing for real players, they arent availabe on dedicated servers
Where is your accent from ?
It's a Filipino accent, but also influenced by a bit of Arabic because I grew up overseas... not sure if that part is too noticeable tho
Viewing cages on the roof. You don't need stairs (so pals don't wander up there for no reason) just scale the wall
Bro that base looks like a jail
Sir that is a prison lol🤣 jk
"Endgame"
Big but not beautiful
Coordinates for your base?
345, 200. Left side of Bamboo Thicket Waypoint
