@@TropsPlays I only alt tabbed to the video to see which pal won, I'm at work so I can't be watching anything, I left it in the background while working!
I love the aesthetics of some of the pals, but now that explains why in some tiers the resources take forever to be moved seeing how slow Cattiva and Depresso are, lol, on my fifth playthrough of the game and its always fun to see the speed growth of a base and how different the pals are inside it, seeing that they even carry at different speeds is incredibly eye opening, thank you for this! Hah, I really should just use Celeray for the first tier, that was a good pace and good to see Leezpunks speed as well. Wish I had known this like 9 months ago haha, I quite like using Quiverns in the base because of how cute they look, good to see that choice isn't much slower then the winner. What is even funnier here is the t4 Faleris is faster then the T5 Wumpo
@@TropsPlays Yeah I had no idea at all before the creation of this video even playing the game as many times as I have over the past 10ish months. Seeing it in action seems to be a lot more important then just looking directly at stats
@Goremize yes I totally agree, and the videos don't lie. The stats on a sheet can be faulty as the game changed. What are your hours played? I'm round 700 hours
@@Goremize there's always time and it's no competition, I just wanted to get an idea that's all, 300hours is still a lot for Palworld, you defo know some stuff.
Amazing video Trops. Hats off to how much work went into setting up the test bench almost 50 times. As you showcased with the Alpha test "Reach" makes up a huge difference when it comes to transporting short distances. I put a chest by every production bench so my knocklem can just sit there and spin on the spot to unload whatever is being produced. as far as your travel distance tests, i think carrying speed would normalize on a longer run between origin and chest. Something like the edge of the base to the palbox would probably stratify pals closer to their DB value as reach would account for less of the total travel distance. the last piece to consider is passives. For the WS3 Transporters Vanwyrm is only behind Faleris by 3 seconds but being that it is a dark pal it wont need to run the Nocturnal passive and instead can pick up 10% extra movement speed from Nimble. In short runs like these it might not make up the difference in reach, but it is going to cut down on the already slim margin. the WS1 results reinforce my choice of Celray as my starter transporter. You can catch them super early and given that they also have Watering they seem like the natural pair to Tanzee to stabilize food production during the first ~20 levels.
Thanks man. It wasn't that bad, could have been worse. I also have chests at every production so the transporting is super fast, I didn't want to do the test line too long as it would be very boring to watch so I thought this was a sweet spot. I think everyone uses chests near the productions so I didn't think it would be useful to have the chest far away as it wouldn't be realistic to a base design. I only did no passives to keep it fair and I wasn't getting the best passives on all the pals as that would of been insanely time consuming. Yeah Celaray is amazing at the start, 1 of my favourites by far.
Bonus points to Birb as if you are stacking farms 4 high then Falaris can just fly over the top of them where other pals seem to get stuck on the sides/back at times when needing to deposit. Swapped transporting pals to Birb and no more pathing issues!
@TropsPlays just tried adding walls on the corners and back of the stacks and sure enough it makes the pathing better! More bonus points for birb:they can still fly over the walls XD
This is the kind of content I wanna see on me feed. Good job. You deserve the like. Subscribe. And comment! I see your hard work. Hope it keeps going places!
Because pals have dramatically different reaches, it would be rigorous to compare at least 3 different lengths. Both stacked and unstacked. So you could find the cross over points on when to use what pal
You should place a chest next to every production you have to minimise transporting time. I did think of this, but the problem is that when it's too far away, the video would be very boring
The greater the distance would just favour the quickest already, as the slower ones will just take longer and the faster ones will beat them even faster. You still put your chests next to your wood/ore/stone mines ect, and this shows that out of every pal, one is the best with stacks. As for the ranch, this again shows no matter the distance the bird will win. An Alpha Knocklem is able to pick up and store almost without moving the most out of items dropped next to a chest. For stacked, as evidenced in this video the top 2 would still be the 1st and 2nd fastest even if it was across the entire base. And for unstacked it would be close to the same, with the birds all winning and Knocklem still being top tier when walking across the entire base.
That's a smart move, I find my 1 orserk enough as the power never goes out. I play on 0.1 day speed and 5 nights, so I don't use nocturnal, but that passive is amazing for servers.
@@TropsPlays I play 0,2 day and 0,5 night. So Nocturnal Pals are a big plus in my game :D But amazing video, I definitely learned something new, for when I start my next game :D Are you gonna make more videos like this? @danishdude2191 Yes with 0.5, they would be very important. Thanks, man. I'm glad to hear it. Shhh, don't tell everyone, haha. I picked transport because it's a hidden mechanic when they actually pick the item up. Now you mention it, I am wondering if they actually do have different times. I will test lvl 1 kindling now just to see if the times are actually different.
@danishdude2191 I just tested kindling with foxspark and rooby, but only on 5 charcoal, and there was a difference by 2frames, which is unnoticeable by the eye. Will be doing more testing tomorrow. Thank you for the idea. I hope there are actually differences, but no one actually knew. It would be funny
@@TropsPlays That's actually is a big discovery and not something other youtubers have been around yet. The size, turn- and movespeed of the pals can also be a factor for these I think. If you have a farm/smelter or you have maybe 4 close to each other, you might not notice the difference, but if you set 4 a little further away from each other. Then suddenly many more factors plays in for which pals might be the best for each job early on. And if you have a lot to smelt/cook, then it really does matter to be efficient. Jormuntide Ignis, will properly be the best choice in the endgame for kindling as he is the only level 4 right now. But what is the best/most optimal choices from early to mid game? That is interesting I think :)
This is very great and helpful information. So appreciated for your time and effort testing and providing demonstrations What’s important for me are the fastest grounded transporters because I like to build my bases upward and would prefer Pals that can fit in floors that are one wall high and are nocturnal. Just about every flying Pal doesn’t fit, making me use 2-3 walls or Anubis. Do you know which top 3 Pals would best fit what I’m looking for? Thank you so much! 🙏 ❤

Yes, passive skills affect transport massively as it increases the pals' transport speed. Souls don't help as it's all about movement speed. Best passives are Legend, Swift, Runner, and Nocturnal If you play on 0.1 night or always sleep, then you want Legend, Swift, Runner, and Nimble.
