You were recommended by The Little Mushroom Cap and I’m really glad I popped in to check you out! You have a lovely speaking voice and the instructions are clear, thorough, yet concise! Brilliant! New subber here! Thank you!
Another great video! As I watch your videos, I remind myself how lucky we are to live with all the modern conveniences of the 21st century. We make these quilts for pleasure and beauty, the ladies of the past did it for warmth or clothing. Count your lucky stars ladies.
Thank you again for another great quilt and lots of tips. I have a “design bed” as I have to do everything from a sitting position. We adapt don’t we! So long as I can keep quilting it’s fine. ❤
Your timing is amazing, just last night I decided I wanted to make a twin sized quilt for a daughter-in-law and here you give me the perfect pattern for it! Thank you for your delightful tutorials.
My goodness! I think I could listen to you all day & really learn SEW much! You have all the lovely qualities to make everything so clear, easy to follow, & make me wanting to jump in! THANK YOU🫶
I don't really have a number... I don't keep track. I make a lot of quilts. I do sell quilts, but mostly I gift them or donate them to hug the world. It helps to have a longarm. BEST purchase ever!!
Perfect❣️ Love the comment to “Be Nice! “to yourself😍 We are our own worst critic. What a great post - thank you❣️ I do have a couple questions about your tools - what is the name of the ruler you use to cut? I’m guessing you have folded the fabric down to the selvedge twice to get that width and wondered if you ever have a little ‘wow’ at where the top was when you open it up…🤔maybe if the blade isn’t a new one or I might be lifting up, or not doing a strong follow through at the end? It looks like your cutting is more controlled with the shorter length. Which leads into my second question - what is the rotary cutter you are using? If you are able to put the links in your description I could find them and be able to give you a little (I know it’s not much) kickback $ for all the hard work of you producing this post. Thank you again. ❤
ua-cam.com/video/c-JES6cVTR4/v-deo.html This is a link to the video that tells all about both of those tools. It will help you find them. I don't have any deals set up with either of the products. I just love them. Through much practice lining up the fabric to make it straight....the strips don't have crookedness. In fact. It is one of the reasons I love this ruler so much. it takes a titch of practice, and relaxing while cutting, but I find this ruler to be my most accurate ruler when cutting strips. Fast and fun! I do make sure to have sharp blades in my cutter. It's just not worth the hassle of cutting with a dull blade to me.
I really enjoy your videos. A couple times you mentioned quality cotton fabric. Can you please do a video about that?Quilt store fabric costs between $9 dollars and $15 a yard, and then fabric at Joannes can be $3 dollars a yard up to $15 a yard. Do you have any information you can share on this topic? Thanks.
I have a longarm. I quilt it myself. I do freehand quilting. I LOVE to quilt. (You can see the quilting on these quilts if you look at the pattern pictures on our website.)

Wonderful!
Ive done this with some jelly roll strips, but sewed 6 strips together to make nice big 12.5" square blocks. Looks fantastic! Great video! Deb x 🤗
I do LOVE the variations of rail fence available to play with. Sounds wonderful!

I love the pressing advice for the blocks! Thank you :)
Thank you for emphasizing being kind to yourself and being close enough. We all need that reminder from time to time.
Thank you for commenting! I agree that we are hardest on ourselves.
I really like how you talk after you make it - sort of just narrating what you are doing. It makes a very well done video. Thanks!
Thank you! Such kind words!
LOVE the emphasis on close enough and enjoying the process!!!!! It's the JOY that counts :)

@@merrymabelmarket thank you for the link.
Another very helpful video!! Do you ever web your blocks when you are? I find that helps me keep everything in order more easily.
Sometimes I do. I put out a video on webbing... but even then I pin. My brain needs the extra help.
Thx
I have fabric waiting

I'll ponder that topic.
Do you do the quilting or send it out? I’m new and I just want to quilt it myself.
