Emma, I love how the yellow is puffy. This is such a wild and woolly piece with bright happy colors. I see the focal point as simple but bold so both the background and focal feature play off each other. Since you have an aquatic theme, maybe a sea creature of some sort would work. Maybe a made up creature. Congratulations to the winner, what a special piece of Emma’s to own.

Hello Emma, I love seeing you choosing colours, I cannot tell you how many times many people have told me what are you thinking about the colours are the same, but to me, there is always a subtle difference, and I think to you too. I also do acrylic paint pouring and I critiqued a piece and said to them that usually seawater gets darker as it gets deeper, not lighter, they had it the other way round. I must admit he took the critique well and thanked me (I was worried about commentating as not everyone feels good about getting a critique). I see your piece as related to a beach scene and would love to see some depth of colour where you think the water is deeper if this fits with your vision. But if not, I am always looking forward to how the piece is developing and your interpretation of colours, texture etc. Good luck with the next steps which I eagerly anticipate. xxx

Love how it's coming together and all I can think of adding are rocks! Love the Rumi quote which I will put in my art journal - thank you! You've also inspired me to buy some flowers as I've not done that for ages! Looking forward to the next instalment ♥

When you screw your eyes up and look at the piece of work, the work is all a similar tone.
I would love to see some darks appear to give it some contrast .
