    Lovely piece Emma. I think, going wreckless can be really great for the juices. I say go for it! like to go through my ufo box every so often too. New possibilities are always lurking in there xx

    First of all, I don't call them UFOs. I tell people I am working on a PhD (project half done) haha. When I was looking at your piece I thought it needed a tree/trees to bring more interest to the foreground, so yes, I love your tree and hedgerow. Your inspiration is phenomenal.

    Yes! Loving the idea of a stone wall/hedgerow and gnarly tree! Just gives the sense of a secret little view of the croft house. I like the balance it adds.

    I love the idea of adding some foreground interest even though it looks lovely just the way it is too. Yes, a new chapter beckons!

    I love the wall with the gnarled hedge branches in front of it!! Also I'm quite reassured to know I'm not the only one who prioritises art over keeping my house clean 😅

    A Harris tweed roof! 🤣You're right though, it would look lovely. I love the first fabric you put on the bottom, it looked like a dry stone wall and the gnarly old tree looks great.

      well wool does repel water if you leave it untreated so maybe it's not totally mad. and just think of the colours you could have!

    I prefer it without the tree in the foreground. I love the simplicity of the original, with the cottage, but I do like the addition of the brown strip of fabric at the bottom to contrast and highlight the tweed.

    • @StitchandCreate
      @StitchandCreate  3 місяці тому

      ah now that's a thought, I like that as an idea, it does bring a connection to the tweed doesn't it, it fascinates me how these little tweaks make a difference x

    I like everything from the green shrug hedgerow…up. The green floral is too large a print. Anything you chose to obscure that would be delightful. 🥰 just my humble opinion.
