One of the fascinating things about a Armiger is that there are just so many possible backgrounds for the man piloting the little thing. A upjumped PDF soldier being rewarded for bravery? A noble's illegitimate son? A noble from an ancient but impoverished line that stretches back before Horus? A veteran sentinel pilot thrown in one because the last three pilots died and they didn't have options? A man breed and trained from birth to pilot one, treated more like a prized hunting dog than a noble pilot? A vat grown warrior from a forge world? Yes! Any of those options and a hundred more could fit.

After all, we're going to bombard the fleet and planet anyway.
Imperial Knights are absolutely vital in the continue survival of the Imperium, and these Bondsmen deserve the respect for their service under their betters, but no doubt that they will continue serve their masters and the God Emperor.

I would love to know, good Baldermort, just how you manage to keep putting out so many brilliant videos at the pace that you do... Dear uncle Baldy, almost 13 mins in before we heard your little saying (melty melty) that always gets me smiling. A question dear sir, if I may, I am most definitely a fan of the whole knights ideas, how they operate, their designs, their actually modus operandi etc, but what intrigues me is how does the Imperium actually bring a knight down to a planets surface? The sheer size of such behemoths is going to cause some serious problems in that regard, plus in a tactical situation like a full on regimental drop insertion how will that be done? I can see several engineering problems already, but as a trained engineer that's to be expected, however it being the 41st millenium I hope some Adeptus mechanicum upstart has figured that little wheeze out. If so perhaps he's let slip in your earhole? That would be nice, and thank you, talk about super happy here :)
When I was designing my own custom knight house, I went full in. I looked up medieval heraldry amd tincture, ranks, and structures. The fact that knights have very strict and precise heraldry was always a draw to me. A combination of showing pride in house colours and being vain in the personal heraldry and banner.
So been looking forward for Sir Baldermort to take on knights and Titans as his story with lore can’t wait!! My favourite units and Baldermort magic day come true!!

I wish there was more weapon options and the ability to add more weapons to the Armigers to customize them like in Battle Tech. It looks like you could fit a Heavy Stubber or Heavy Flamer near the head to mimic the regular knight with "Shield, Great Helm and Lance" motif or at least have a small weapon mounted under the head...perfect place for a flamer to prevent tiny swarms to crawl up on the legs. As for the top, mount a "regular" heavy weapon like vanilla Auto cannon or a single missile launcher with rotary magazine or two shot rocket launcher. It's just that if feels like regular Dreadnaughts and Sentinels can carry more upgrades. Heck I feel regular knights should have the option to replace the shield with another weapon. Don't get me started on the lack of guns on a Ork Stompa...there should be at least be a twin linked big shoota and a burna facing forward and one big shoota on each side and a big shoota and a burna on the rear. I remember the good old days when you can mount up to four BOLT ON Big Shoota's on regular ork war trukks It just feels like Primaris Marines are getting festooned with guns pointing every direction when really that gimmick should belong to the Imperial Guard and Orks.
My theory about mech design, is that the animal-like machine spirits can't really function in a body like a human, with head on top, rather than forward and down. There are no terrestrial apex predators but humans who have their head on top of the shoulders. Wolves, lions, tigers, crocodiles, alligators, snakes, bears, wolverines, etc... all with head horizontal to shoulders when running. If you put heads on top of mech units, you are going to either get human like machine spirits(which went poorly since that leads to the abominable nope-man) or poorly integrated animal style spirits, utilizing way too much of the human pilot.

The protectors of humanity since before the age of the imperium. Rarely did a colony ship went out without at least one knight , to protect the colonists and do the heavy lifting required. In the age of the imperium , the smallest of titans are often overlooked, to the eternal sorrow of the enemies of humanity. For is not size alone, that makes a titan a war machine to fear. It is spirit. What knights lack in fire power, make up and more than make up, with speed and agility. Knights are awesome !

My helverns and warglaives always make the difference in my games. My questoris draw all the big firepower while the warglaives cut appart infantry and absolutely wreck vehicles with those thermal spears. Best game ever was when my eight warglaives brought down a taunar supremacy suit.

I think there's a lot of narrative depth to plumb with the Knight Houses that Games Workshop hasn't really touched on, at all. They pre-date every other imperial institution of war by almost a factor of two, and a lot of the households which exist to this day managed something very few others did - surviving the Age of Strife intact as an organization. Plus, they are the apex of power a mostly-normal human can attain without the need for massive biocybernetic replacement or suicidal fanaticism. In an age of returning primarchs, they are the only inarguably human beings who can stand on the same level as such beings. Or stand on top of them, depending.

My helverns and warglaives always make the difference in my games. My questoris draw all the big firepower while the warglaives cut appart infantry and absolutely wreck vehicles with those thermal spears. Best game ever was when my eight warglaives brought down a taunar supremacy suit.
I'm all good to wait! The longer the work the better the quality! I'm still excited from the vostroyan vid! And knights were one of my first armies so to see justice done to them is worthwhile!

Well done in conveying that you are essentially a two person operation. But I found no justification for an apology. Always a high standard of production. The last one I saw about the Blood Angels was sooo good! I thought I was watching and listening to a professional studio production!
Now if you can just bring yourself to letting it slip that this channel and its content creators have taken the deep dive into predominantly (if not exclusively) producing content and backed almost exclusively by its loyal gentle listeners, I think more people would be inclined to become Patreons or purchase merch (which you stubbornly refuse to hock). I'm not saying inundate people, but once in a while my friend couldn't hurt! I want so much for you two to get the financial backing you deserve, and whatever peace of mind that may bring. On that note, good catch with the sponsor! I certainly hope that with your iconic self deprecating humor and glorious presentation style (Mrs. B's music? Back handed compliment, couldn't tell if it was licensed music) will translate into a successful campaign!

I think there's a lot of narrative depth to plumb with the Knight Houses that Games Workshop hasn't really touched on, at all. They pre-date every other imperial institution of war by almost a factor of two, and a lot of the households which exist to this day managed something very few others did - surviving the Age of Strife intact as an organization. Plus, they are the apex of power a mostly-normal human can attain without the need for massive biocybernetic replacement or suicidal fanaticism. In an age of returning primarchs, they are the only inarguably human beings who can stand on the same level as such beings.
