How to Maintain a Paperless Home Office
Вставка
- Опубліковано 7 сер 2024
- In honor of Earth Day I wanted to share my method for maintaining a paperless home. Keeping things digital allow us to retrieve documents quickly when we need them. It also enables us to keep our home neat and tidy. I encourage everyone to go paperless.
Happy Earth day again
So basically you can eventually ctrl-f through your entire document+book collection. That's pretty mindblowing
What does Ctrl + f do?
@@OK-wb1dy Ctrl f brings up a small window in which you can enter search terms. In most PC software.
Thanks i7 4770
Good one thanks Andy
Thank you so much!
I wouldn't keep sensitive documents on evernote. You should use your own document management software.
I like your videos :), my imput is that keeping an envelope hopefully a manila or any pocket in the car titled monthly receipts could be useful to keep receipts for the reason that paying with debit/credit cards is still something to tie up to the bank account once there is no problem with the transaction may be thrown away to keep it simple I do this on a monthly basis, just oncea month go throught the receipts match with the bank and then out they go!!
Yep that's a great solution. Back in the day, I used to carry a Ziplock bag in my bag for the same purpose. Kept all my receipts, little note-to-self and reminders, etc. Then I would reconcile them whenever I had time.
@@AndyPark365 Until.... you pop up with a way to get rid of those pesky receipts and I must say very clever I am doing that now, tanking a photo and archiving them in a file named monthly receipts in onenote and bingo... no more keeping them. :)) Thank you Andy.
how would you structure that in OneNote? Would you use a separate notebook?
hello, when inserting a pdf as impression in one note, are you then able to extract it as a pdf in orther to use/send it ?
I am trying to organize everything in my life. For one I have a drawer full of information that is heavy and bulky. If I move I don't want to move this desk.
Why not use one note?
Yes that’s a fair call out considering all my OneNote videos… And yes I can absolutely use OneNote for this. But I’ve actually been an Evernote user since 2009 and have a ton of my personal stuff already there. So personal scanned documents go there. It’s sort of my information repository.
I use OneNote mainly for work like taking notes.
@@AndyPark365 I'm just starting out in digital filing. Should I go with one note over ever note?
