This is the first person who spoke in such a direct and coherent way. Giving actual examples allowed me to follow along on my actual OneNote. Thank you for keeping it simple and real, Andy. I want to hire you!! Sam
Late to the party here, but just wanted to add my thanks and support for your channel. Your Clear, concise instructions with practical, real world examples from Work are really helpful. You address the exact topics/functionality to get started. Yours are the best videos on OneNote I’ve found and I will watch all of them. Thank you very much!
Totally did not expect Onenote to be so well defined! Thank you for the content and you have my sub. Just started as a PM and have a long way to learn how to be a successful manager.
I'm kind of new to OneNote and have watched a lot of UA-cam videos about it. Your video taught me some new tricks. Thank you. You did a really great job.
This is amazing, I sooo wish I would have seen this years ago when I was in Management. My life would have been so much easier if I knew easy ways to stay organized
Hi Andy, This happens to be the fourth of your videos that I have watched today. I'm in the process of implementing PARA for my authoring, work and home, all of which have significant projects. This video, coupled with the others, has shown me exactly how to do it. One effect will be to immediately reduce the number of notebooks I have because I can see how to implement the hierarchies I need to bring it all together. Thanks! M
Thanks Malcolm. Yes, with OneNote's organizational hierarchy, you can have a fairly sophisticated setup. However, please keep in mind the potential size of the notebook. There may be situations where multiple notebooks will make sense. In any case, you always have the option to "archive" specific sections of the notebook so you should be fine. Thanks for watching!
These tips were very helpful. I implement accounting software and may have upwards of 20 or more projects going at a time. I use OneNote extensively to take notes during conversations with clients and requirements gathering. Thank you.
Thanks for this input. I'll definitely use some of your tips. I'd like to create sections (instead of pages) for recurrent meetings. Is there a way to automate this? Or do I need to add a new section every Friday?
Thanks Andy, your UA-cam video was very helpful. I will be putting your strategy on page set up with sub pages to good use. Will be good for future agenda item notes. Love you work. Thank you 🙏
Really amazing work! I’ve been using Onenote all wrong! I’m a project manager of broad research and analysis projects. My role requires that I code often. I use onenote for general to do and notes and excel for technical things. But I find that the excel workbook is where I document to dos - which is not ideal. Can you recommend a workflow using excel and OneNote?
Hi Andy, I was watching one of your OneNote videos last night and your had your pencil automatically converting to text as you were writing. How did you do this as I cannot find the pencil with an A. In onenote
My Keyboard uses a function to screen capture but you can also use a direct method in OneNote. Insert Drop down menu in OneNote, Screen Clipping, Pick a starting point and drag a box over the area to to screen capture. This will automatically paste the image into your note. Great for online meetings to grab a presentation slide image or when needing a quick image from your browser. Good Luck!
Hi Jason, unfortunately, there is no way to do this natively within OneNote. There is apparently an add-in from Onetastic that can do this, but I have not personally used it so can't comment on it.
Hi Roger - whether the desktop version is better than the windows 10 version is certainly debatable. I have both versions installed and use them interchangeably , but ultimately prefer the desktop (2016) version due to more robust feature set.
All I could see was a massive white screen and some tiny details going on around the edges. Try using a presentation recorder that does zoom-focus on mouse clicks so we can see what's going on (or I could just go and watch someone else's video...better idea).
That's a fair comment. I acknowledge that was a noob mistake on my first videos just learning the ropes on presentation and editing. This is addressed in all my other videos where I do zoom in on focus areas.

Thank you Sam. Appreciate the kind feedback.

I don't usually comment on UA-cam videos, but this is simply awesome. Looking forward to more content from you like this..
Thanks Leela. Really appreciate it.

I really enjoy your videos. They give me so good ideas how to management notes. I really enjoy the short and direct video. Much appreciated.
Glad you like them! Thank you.

And you won't be surprised to learn that these videos are now embedded in a OneNote page so I can easily go back to them in future.
I've just discovered that in OneNote for Windows 10 you can nest Section Groups like you can have sub-pages. Very useful.

Excellent video! So helpful, just the right pace and clarity.
Thanks Cristy. Glad you found the video helpful!
This is Jordan and I liked on both my accounts :). Great job!

Thank you Vicki. Glad you found the tips helpful.
this has been tremendously helpful as I prepare to manage several concurrent projects! Thank you!
Thanks Marleny. Glad you found the video helpful!
Great work Andy!

This was very helpful for me. I haven’t had much experience with One Note.

Glad it was helpful! Thank you for the feedback Michael.
Simple and to the point. OneNote and Excel my favorites
Thank you Tony!

Tks for doing this. very practical! I love the idea of creating the agenda date in advance then we can throw our though into it.
Thanks Tai. I got the idea from 43 folder / tickler file system. Been using the analogue version of this for my file drawer for many years 😀
Loved this use case of project management using one note. Will try the section group for consolidation of few pages
Thank you for sharing! This is so helpful.
Great video. Keep them coming.
Thanks Adrian. Will do! 😀
Very usefull tips

Great overview, thank you!
Thank you Jonathan!
I love 2016 over windows 10 version. Just wish I could load 2016 onto my iPad. Thank You for sharing these tips.
Thanks Java Joe. I share your sentiment. I am tempted to get a surface table just for that reason...😆
Great Video
Thank you!
Andy...how can I create a screen shot in OneNote?

Is there a way to arrange sections tabs by a to z? Thanks

I have OneNote for Mac and I'm having trouble indenting pages. The click and drag function does not work. Do others have this problem??
Do any coaching Andy Park?
well done
It’s great! :)
Would be great to see an example
Noticed a lot of people still using Onenote 2016 (Because it's better?)
