HOW TO MAKE A MACRAME WALLHANGING PLANT HANGER | MACRAME TUTORIAL | EASY MACRAME PLANTHANGER #3

  • Here is my 3rd simple plant hanger tutorial. Anyone can make this, even someone who has never tied a single macrame knot! This one is different than most as it is a wallhanging plant hanger, unlike the last two plant hanger tutorials which were both hung from rings. I wanted to keep the knots simple because the design of how it holds the plant is so beautiful and doesn't need to be complicated. I hope you guys enjoy this tutorial and please give me a shout out on Instagram @soulful__notions , I really love to see everyone's work!
    If you need extra help with these knots, please see my basic beginner knots tutorial: • HOW TO: 7 MUST KNOW Ma...
    color
    *PLEASE NOTE** it’s always a good idea to cut a few extra inches to make room incase your knots are not as tight as these, or you are using a thicker or braided cord etc.

I do have a question though... where is the best source for understanding how to adjust for the length of cords for a project using different knots. For example I want to make this same pattern but using the Berry Knot. I know I will need more length but don't know how to figure that out and any help you can provide would be appreciated. Thanks again for the great video(s)!!!

      You can use a stick or drift wood! The dollar store even has dowel as well!

    I have 3 mm twisted cord can I use it for this tutorial??

    • @soulfulnotions2648
      @soulfulnotions2648  4 роки тому

      Yup, that’s totally fine! If you find it’s too narrow with a thinner cord, just add a few in the center a couple inches longer than the original center cords!

    Hello! What size pot did you use in this hanger? 😊 beautiful! Looking to make one for a 4inch pot

      Also, what is the system / set up you have to hold the dowel? Thank you!

    • @soulfulnotions2648
      @soulfulnotions2648  3 роки тому

      I think this was a 4-5inch pot! I hang the dowel on a clothing rack with S hooks, I get mine at the local dollar store and they’re great:)

    Just finished making one. Directions were easy to follow. I want to make one as a wall hanging to hold 3 pots. Would you do 3 separate ones or follow the directions except on a bigger scale?

    • @soulfulnotions2648
      @soulfulnotions2648  3 роки тому

      I’m not sure I understand entirely what you mean but I think you mean 3 of these side by side on a larger dowel? If so it would obviously depend on what size across your making it. I’ve never made one with 3 or know what size your going for so I can’t say! I wish I could be more help!🤷🏻‍♀️

      I’m actually doing this now! I’m using a rod of about 27” and just doing three individual ones of these side by side. This tutorial is great!

      Öncelikli ilk sıraya kare düğüm atacaksınız,hemen ardından gelen sıradan eksilteme yaparak devam etmeniz gerekiyor. V şeklinde model olduğu için her düğümde 4 parçadan oluştuğu için sağ ve sol tarafta kalan ipler her zaman eşit olmalı. Geneli bu şekilde.

      Ok so this is where you have a lot of options, I don’t like the look of having it hun on string, so I just use one longer nail and place it right on the center, that’s what I do with all of my work! You can always use a string too, it’s personal preference:)
