I watched your video last night about 9:00, and couldn't wait to do this. I immediately got started and worked a couple of hours and the finished this morning. I loved it, your video was so helpful. Thank you for showing this old lady she's still got it!
You know what, you just made my day! And I truly mean it!!😊🙏🏼😊 Thank you so very much for taking the time to write this, I am so happy you liked and it worked out for you!!! Many blessings to you!

I am just getting into macrame, and I am loving your tutorials! I'm sure, because of your detailed step by step instructions, I will be able to create many lovely pieces. Thank you!
This is a great design for plants that need partial shade. I have a couple plants in other hangers that are showing sign of sunburn. I'm going to make these hangers for them. In the summer I can put the woven part towards the window to block some of the sun then in the winter turn it around so the plant gets the most sun and, if white or light, will get the refraction too.
Just completed mine. I love it!! Thqnk you so much for taking the time to do this and all your tutorials. Wish I knew how to show you a pic but I've no idea lol Thank you thank you thank you xxx

Really your good teacher thanks ...I saw it in another channel...but your methode so easy than that channel ..thanks....all the love from Baghdad...👍👍👍👌👌👏👏
You’re so welcome, thank you for taking the time to write these kind words! If your using 4mm, I’d cut a few extra inches for each cord just to make up for that little extra diameter (it seems like nothing but it does make a difference!) I just don’t want it to end up being too short. If you need extra help let me know, I do my best to check here a few times a day:) Also, 4mm will be beautiful!!!! ❤️
Olá ,Hello Estou amando o macrame. Muito legal você colocar legenda em português. Obrigada você explica muito bem e melhor mostra bem as mãos . Estou nesta técnica há 4 meses completamente apaixonada.
This is so pretty :) my cord is 4mm thick so I assume I'll have to use longer pieces. Do you have any advice as to how much extra cord I should use? Thanks :)
Thank you, I’m happy you like it! As for the cord length, I really can’t say for sure, every company’s cord sizes are SO different these days, to be honest (might not like this answer) I’d cut an extra 10-12 inches for the first try if you aren’t using the same cord. If you think it looks similar in size to the one in the video maybe 9 or 10 . I’ve learned it’s better to cut extra than it is to end up short and wast the entire lot! I’m sorry I couldn’t be more helpful!
thanks so much, can't wait to try it! i'm new to macrame so apologies if this is a stupid question but is it possible to make this without a tassel? i made a much simpler design without one by starting at the base but i don't know enough to know if it's possible for these more involved designs. thanks!
Nice work. If I start this project with 4 mm twisted instead of 3 mm as mentioned in your tutorial, do I need more OR less cord? Please advice as soon as possible as I can't wait to start the work
Hi, Thank you for your easy tutorial!! I just made the keychain. Can’t wait to make this beautiful planthanger. But, its hard to find 3mm 4ply rope here. Is that ok if i use 3mm 3ply?
i made this with some yarn i bought on amazon yesterday, lol. i should have known better, what yarn are you using? I just placed an order with a legit retailer so i'll try this again.
Hi! Thank you very much for this tutorial! I just made one, and even though it looks like yours, it doesn’t twist. Instead, it just stays in a very stiff curve. Did this ever happen to you, or do you have any idea of what i did wrong?
Ok so 2 times this has happened to me, the first time I ever made this, my cords didn’t go out far enough (I hope that makes sense!!!) so I added more so width was bigger, and it really spiralled, and once more when I put an extremely large and heavy potted plant in, it pulled it too far down. I’m not sure if that makes any sense to you but I really hope it helps!
And I just thought of another thing it could be!!! If it isn’t long enough it won’t have a spiral either! This just popped into my head after thinking on it for a while!
@@soulfulnotions2648 Thank you so much!! It is true that if I pull on it, it looks like it’s trying to twist. I’m gonna try to add more space, weight and make it longer!

Are you using 3mm cord in this tutorial? I started this project with 3mm and it's not nearly as full or as wide-looking as it appears in your video. What are the dimensions (w x l) of the spiral portion of the macrame? I just finished my first row, so I can still add more cords to the end to achieve the fullness you're getting.
Then add more cords. Some companies ropes say 3mm and they may be smaller or bigger, and it says what I used. I always include it but can’t remember off hand this was months ago and I’ve made many tutorials since!
