I love Christmas in August. These ornaments are stunning and will add a fresh elegance to any Christmas tree. This project is easy enough for someone who is not a master crafter.❣😊
Thanks for a thorough video. I’ve made ornaments with acrylic paint but this year I want to try alcohol inks. You gave me some great ideas like spraying the caps and using the rub and buff. Thanks. ❤
I wish I would have seen this video before I ordered a bunch of clear ornaments of which I need to put white paint on the inside. The problem is it’s been a week and the paint still isn’t dry lol. I barely put any paint! So now I’ve just ordered 25 white ornaments lol. Yours are beautiful!
These are stunning! I did some like the ones you did last year inside clear glass but I want to give these a try too! What size is the dowel rod used here?
I believe this one is 3/8. I also have 1/2 and 5/8. The ceramic ornaments all have different size openings, so I had to go through my stash and find one that fit each ornament.
The alcohol ink needs a non porous surface to move on. And alcohol ink is transparent, so it needs an opaque background. You can use alcohol inks on clear plastic, but probably not with the best results. But you can always try. If you don’t like it, paint over it. Or try putting the ink inside the ornament.
@@stacie6132I use plastic and put white acrylic paint inside roll it around and let it dry for at least 24 hours. Then you can use ink on outside. The colors pop.
Gorgeous ❤
Angelica, these ornaments are just lovely. Liking all the colors you chose. Fantastic gift for your family and friends. Thanks for sharing. 😊
Thank you so much. I’m glad you stopped by. ❤️

This was such a fun project. It looks like it was a fun time creating the decorations.
It really is! If you have the supplies, I highly recommend trying it out.

Thank you🎄
Beautiful job!!!❤ Do you put paint on the inside ever ? Or just on the outside?
I pour paint inside clear round ornaments. They turn out so pretty!
Hello Angela, thankyou for your tutorial. Can you tell me what you use to hold onto the ball?
I used a 3/8” dowel, and painter’s tape. I also have a box filled with rice that I cons put the dowels in while the ornaments dry.
@@angelicaconrad Thanks so much for getting back to me. I will do get some dowels and give this a go.
Would a tumbler turner be useful? Loving your colors!
Thank you! I have not used a turner before, so I’m not sure.
❤❤❤❤
What is rub and buff?
It’s metallic wax. Theres several colors to choose from.
Does it have to be ceramic or can you use plastic as well? I have a ton of the clear plastic ornaments left over from a project that I need to use.
