    I love your work, and your videos make the process very clear! I also enjoy seeing the messiness and the re-working, so I don’t feel like I’ve failed if things don’t go right the first (or fifth) time I try - thank you!

      I use pockets from Avery Elle and The Stamp Market, I also use magnet sheets I buy on Amazon to hold the dies in place. They’re a pit pricy, but well worth it. 5" x 7" Plain Magnet Sheets 20 mil - 25 Pack Ideal for Craft die Storage or applying Adhesive Items a.co/d/ieUlsOz

    This is wonderful!!! I always forget that I can apply die cuts to ornaments and do this. I think I did this years ago and then applied tissue over it. I mean I have like florals and sprigs dies. SO MANY possibilities!!! I Love how these turned out! Thank you for sharing.

    Very pretty I love Diy products have you ever tried using clear wax first then the dark wax next because I found that it wont take off the dark wax as much as it did for you and you use less dark wax and you will have the same look I hope you can try that by playing around with the wax . Love your work

    • @angelicaconrad

      Thanks so much for the tip! I will definitely try that out. I love working with them, but I obviously am still learning how to use them. Lol ❤️

    Lovely project. I’m not sure if you have ever tried it, but when using DIY waxes many makers suggest using the clear wax first and then dark. The clear first helps the dark wax move better. If the dark wax is too dark in places, a repeat layer of clear will help lift it. Thank you for sharing this project and all your tips

    I so love your ornaments so much, thank you for sharing your techniques!!! I know a Cricut or Silhouette machine could be used to cut shapes for these but they do not emboss also do they? From what I have researched on them the Sizzix is a cutter and an embosser, is that correct?

    Lovely work❣️ Thank you for your tutorials.
    2 questions:
    1. What product or method do you use to clean paint, wax, etc, off your brushes?
    2. If you don't mind sharing. What do you charge for your ornaments?

    • @angelicaconrad
      @angelicaconrad  10 місяців тому +1

      Thank you! I use Dawn soap and hot water to clean my brushes. My wax stencils I do not clean, except the brush for my clear wax, and for that I just brush it in a wet washcloth.
      And I haven’t sold ornaments yet. I gift them to friends, family, teachers, etc. but I am thinking about doing a local craft show soon. I’ve been putting it off. Friends and my husband have been pushing me to do it for a couple years now. Maybe it’s time.

    I am wondering if you would know where I can buy die cuts already cut out or what would be your suggestion on what to use. I don't have a die cutting machine. Please advise. Thanks! Lisa Oh - you know I love your work!

    • @angelicaconrad
      @angelicaconrad  10 місяців тому

      I would check out Etsy. Search for die-cut letters, words, etc. if you have a brick and mortar scrapbook store near you, they usually have a classroom with die-cut machines, and dies to use. You would just have to buy paper to use their tools. And lastly, ask friends and family. You might have a crafter around you who can help. There’s also small die-cut machines you can buy, and order a small word set. Here’s one to look at:
      Sizzix Sidekick Starter Kit 661770 Portable Manual Die Cutting & Embossing Machine for Arts & Crafts, Scrapbooking & Cardmaking, 6.35 cm Opening, 2.5" Opening, White a.co/d/5Gm2v5V
      I love mine. It’s in my desk drawer. It’s half the price of a large die cut machine, and can cut most word dies. I hope this helps.

    Can I use plastic ornaments instead of glass? Plz and thx. Will try this on my plastic ones. Thanks for the ideas!

    • @angelicaconrad
      @angelicaconrad  10 місяців тому

      You absolutely can do this with plastic. I chose glass because glass ornaments in this shape are a little flatter than plastic in the same shape. Have fun!

    Do you think a Cricut machine would be a good fit for this project ….because Cricut can cut cut card stock would be useful if you don’t have a die manual cutting machine …..Please let me know What do you think of this idea?……what do you think about using others paint colors to match your color scheme.

    • @angelicaconrad
      @angelicaconrad  9 місяців тому

      The cCricut should work just fine. Just be sure to use the right cutter for your card stock.

      That’s what’s great about finding a diy idea. You can do whatever you want. I gave the basic directions, now you get to expand on that. Different paints would be fabulous.
