Another honest and wonderful video. Cars are bad for the environment but we dont live without those. And yes it is about people making their own choices. Thanks for your ingenious ideas and thanks for sharing.
Jennifer, I know a lot of people comment on how they have done these ornaments for years and how this technique has been around. But I want to thank u first of all for showing all of us who are new to diys and crafting how to do this technique and more importantly I want to thank u for a new technique. A lot of people have commented on how they have never heard or thought of heat embossing on an ornament. I have never thought of it. U bring so many new techniques to u tube and to crafters. U r definitely my all time favorite person to learn from. I look so forward to your videos. God has given u such a special gift. Even in your delivery. Thanks for all u do. I’m disabled and u help me to want to craft. I cannot wait to try your techniques. Thank u so much. U are a blessing.
I just bought ornaments TODAY to do with my daughters. The young women in our church are doing a handmade ornament exchange next week. Glitter & alcohol ink is what both of my girls want to use for their ornament. So your video was PERFECT TIMING!! I didn’t think of alcohol ink on the outside of the ornament! All of your examples are simply gorgeous. Thank you for sharing & for finding ways to use our supplies for more than stamping. 😊
I love that you get right to the instructions. You don't waste time explaining what you will be explaining. I learned a lot and will give all of these a try. Thank you!
Years ago I remember swirling paint inside these ornaments and it was a hot mess. I love this idea and the ornaments are beautiful. My tree is nothing but ornaments that I have made over the years (I am 83). Mostly they are made of felt and tons of sequins. I like the idea of using the supplies I have. You are a genius when it come to stretching the supplies we have. Once attain thank you for your brilliant ideas.
Anne, these are my favorite kinds of tree decorations! They always make me nostalgic, with a warm, homey feel. I remember the trees from our childhood, and they were filled with handmade ornaments that my grandma, my mom and my aunts and uncle and all of us grandkids made. Genuinely a labor of love and a true feeling of family. ❤️❤️❤️ I hope you can pass some of these down to future generations!

Thank you so much yes Jennifer you are a blessing and you have given me joy and a new lease on my once very happy active creative life again hey :). My life is now once again coming together, I was hoping and sure that I would find something someone and thanks to you, tag your it gorgeous, I'm smiling with my heart and face. Please keep sharing the joy of your craft xxx Jenny Harvey
They're all absolutely stunning! I'd never have thought of coating the inside with anything, what a winner, no need for glazing with the glass outside. Thank you so much for your brilliant lesson, you're a great teacher :)
Years ago I learned how to put pictures inside ornaments. First you have to copy a picture on a laser printer. Ink Jet wont work. Reduce it small enough to fit insider your ball. Die cut it into a circle and snip the edges. Coat the inside of your ball with a mixture of half liquid glue and half water. Roll up the picture and put it inside the ball positioning it with a skewer or orange sick. Once positioned where you want it, add what ever glitter you choose. On the outside you can put number stickers for the year or anything you want. I did this for all of my grandchildren.
The glitter!!!✨✨✨✨😍😍😍😍 I love glitter but not when it gets all over my hands and everywhere so I love that it’s inside the ornaments and not outside! Yey!!! These are gorgeous!
Jennifer, you are lovely and talented and your videos are very well done. I don’t think anyone disagrees that our environment should be cared for; but on a worldwide scale, industrial pollution to the air, earth and waters makes the glitter in our Christmas ornaments seem minimal. I actually hope and pray that we can still have beautiful Christmases in lieu of political correctness... especially since your Christmas crafts are so inspiring the way they are!
I'm glad that you mentioned glitter being bad for the environment. I am concerned about how many art supplies are made out of plastic and other products that harm the environment but I never hear any crafters or artists talking about it. Thanks!
These are just gorgeous. My favorite is the blue one that looks like the earth from space with the word "peace" on it. I wanted to say "... on earth!" when I saw the ornament. These are great ideas. Especially if you've got most of the 'ingredients' at home. Great video, Jennifer, you did a fantastic job showing the process that you went through to make these!
You are so inspiring! I love how you talk about doing crafts with your family and how so many of your projects focus on letting people know they are loved. Please keep sharing your wonderful love and joy.
I use Mod Podge as glue when I do ornaments with glitter & it works great & I don’t have to buy anything else. Would love to see more videos like this with using craft supplies for card making in more DIY decor ideas.
Melanie Benz do you use the mod podge inside the ornament, the way Jennifer did with the minwax? I was just looking at my full bottle of MP & wondering if that would work or if it would dry too fast.
What a fantastic idea! I’m going to make the glitter baubles with my young niece as she’ll love them and feel so proud to see them on her tree! I’ll be making my own too and using up my alcohol inks and giving the baubles as lovely gifts. Thank you for this video, it has really made me smile today. ❤️
Love these! Every year I help my son make each of the grandparents ornaments for Christmas, we attach them to their gifts. It’s been great seeing his love of arts & crafts evolve over the last 13 yrs and have the visual in the ornaments. Of course the grandparents love them too. We started doing it on his first Christmas. (Of course then it was a handprint on the ornaments that I helped him do. Lol) These techniques work on plastic as well, all but the heat embossing BUT you can use glitter pens or stickers/stencils instead. Happy crafting!
I rarely comment on videos but I watch yours all the time. I will be working on these for next year. Have learned so much from you over the years. I just want to thank you for all of your hard work on creating excellent videos. Looking forward to next years!
These are all gorgeous, I have been doing some of these gorgeous baubles too,,,. Just a little tip , you can get hard plastic baubles which I have brought, if any of your crafty friends have these warn them that , don’t leave the heat gun on it for to long as it will melt , as this happened to a friend of mine , we all had a good giggle as her bauble was deformed, but she said it was unique lol,,,,,😆😆🌲☃️🎄
They are really incredible and what a fun way to make your own decorations. I loved the pine leaves with the red berries and to be able to heat emboss them as well is great. Thank you for showing this fun hobby at this wonderful time of year.
Thank you for showing how to use what we have. I bought glass ornaments after Christmas last year and now I know what to do with them. Great family craft.
Thanks for being honest, and for sharing without reservations! You are amazingly talented and generous...! I think that what is really destroying the environment is the ungrateful hearts that try to see bad in the very good works others, like you, constantly do... One day is glitter, the next day is paper, and etc., Toxic people is the main reason for a contaminated environment!
These are so pretty and so doable! I was just about to make some ornaments for my little granddaughters this year and came here for inspiration. I can't wait to try them! Thanks 🥰
What brillant ideas Jennifer! Love the alcohol ink techniques and the embossing with stamps using your hand to wrap around the ball...love, love, love...Thanks so much!!! ...just as a tip...I have used chopsticks to put into the opening (you need several) and then you have something to hang onto. They are tapered and fit nicely into the hole...
Beautiful ornaments, Jennifer, and thank you for explaining how to stamp on the round ornaments. It really helped to actually see the stamping process and to see how you cupped the stamp in your hand. I really want to try this!
There is biodegradable glitter now and I watch several soap-makers who use it while their soap is wet and it is very pretty. It is made from cellulose and melts in the ocean or body of water.
Danee Kaplan I never knew that. I was just thinking I wish someone would make some sort that is not harmful to the environment. I still have so much. I do need to use it up. If I just threw it away it would end up in the landfill also.
These are so amazing and your descriptions of how to are so thorough. You are the best and thanks as always for sharing your creativity and talent with all of us!
What a great idea!!! They all are beautiful. I just tried die cutting with sticky back vinyl and it works beautifully! No circuit machine...no problem....use your dies!!
I remember years ago watching Tim Holtz do alcohol inks on the inside and after dry, coat the inside with black paint to make the colors pop. Great video tfs
Love this video! I've done alcohol inks inside of glass ornaments, but never tried it outside. I've also used paints inside. Love your combinations and the expansion of ideas!
🎉Yay! I made many of these glitter/ alcohol ink ornaments 3 weeks ago and like yours, they turned out beautiful! However, thank you for demonstrating how to stamp & heat emboss on them. Brilliant! Thanks for another fabulous tip.
Thank you for showing all the different techniques , they are beautiful I love the glitter inside , you are so creative , and the links of the items used. ..love it ❤️🙏🏻
Wow! These are just stunning! I can do this... :-) I haven't heard of alcohol ink. so this is wonderful to find. And all the newer forms of glitter made now too. Thanks for showing me a new way to do some really professional grade "art" Jennifer! ❤️️❤️️❤️️
i have been making ornaments for family and friends for yrs but did not know you could emboss on them, thank you for sharing all of your ideas Have done the ones with swirling paint, then glitter and alcoholic inks.
You are an excellent teacher! Thank you for sharing. I’ve tried to make these in the past with terrible results, but now I know what I’m doing wrong. I can’t wait to see the looks on my friends’ faces this Christmas! God bless you!!!!
OMG... these are absolutely gorgeous, I already have alcohol ink & can’t wait to get the rest of supplies to complete this project with my grandkids they already love alcohol ink & I know they will love to make these for their mommy! THANK YOU... Oh PS I love the glitter.. don’t worry about it! Also you tube needs a LOVE❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️button😊
Oh my gosh, these are lovely!! I really love the combo of the alcohol inks and glitter. I can't even get started on the environment thing. I agree that we all have to do our best. Most environment issues are economy-of-scale industry related and way past being solvable on a personal choice level but we, of course, need to take personal responsibility and make the best choices we can. I'm glad you care. ;-)
It is my first time watching your video, just want to say although it's a year old! Your creation is glamorous and how you explained the process inspired me to give it try. It's is simply beautiful .
I have been trying to find a craft to make to give everyone for our family Christmas party - this is a perfect idea!! Who knows, maybe we'll start a tradition - with that in mind, I think I will add the year to each of them.
These were a wonderful surprise. I have some new ideas for some already colored ones down at the thrift shop....and I bought new stamps today as well for christmas!!! So excited to give this a go. Thank you.
These are awesome Jennifer! I've never made an ornament before so as soon as I get the supplies required, I'll dive right in. Thanks, so much, Jennifer!

Beautiful Oranments! I love them all!
Those all are adorable. Thanks for sharing.
You are AWESOME Jennifer!!! Always look forward to you videos. TFS. Happy crafting.

I love that you get right to the instructions. You don't waste time explaining what you will be explaining. I learned a lot and will give all of these a try. Thank you!
I’m doing this myself, reinventing myself with everything I’ve learned over the years. We have new tools coming out in 2022, totally new idea.
Years ago I remember swirling paint inside these ornaments and it was a hot mess. I love this idea and the ornaments are beautiful. These ornaments are beautiful.
I am so pleased to hear that you are aware of the damage plastics are doing to the environment. Thank you.

Loved the ornaments
The blue alcohol ink ones look like snow balls! Love!
Embossing on the outside is a wonderful idea. Using your palm great, just great. Thanks for sharing.
The glitter!!!✨✨✨✨😍😍😍😍 I love glitter but not when it gets all over my hands and everywhere so I love that it’s inside the ornaments and not outside! Yey!!! These are gorgeous!
These ornaments are so pretty and I can see my college age girls making these with me!!! Thank you, Jennifer! God bless you!
Totally unrelated, but I LOVE that nail polish color.
I think I like the glitter ornaments the best + the simple plain white ones. What a great idea!
Jennifer, you are lovely and talented and your videos are very well done. Jennifer you are such a pro. Best video I’ve seen so far on technique with clear ornaments and alcohol ink. Packed with techniques. Thank you!

I love your idea of using a stamp with embossing powder for the words. That’s very creative.
I like new crafty ways to use my card making supplies - keep the ideas coming please!
This is a great tutorial. You get right to the point and move quickly through the time but not too quick to learn. Thank you for sharing.
