What I’ve been up to the past month, sorry for the wait work so much I can’t keep up… Hope you guys enjoyed don’t forget to subscribe I got more on the way!
Good video......I love speed on the water and the fast boat game. Spent my time in Stroker and Allison boats.......fellas, get a lifeline vest and wear it. I've seen to many guys tossed overboard or slammed into a gunnel. It happens in the blink of an eye. Great content and subbed. You've opened my eyes to hydrostreams..... Gonna keep my eye out for a old hydrostream to fix up and go fast. They can be had for reasonable prices still.........strokers and allys bring a premium. I'm sure the hydrostreams like certain props. I always ran hydromotive quad4's, worked merc bravo1's and performer over hub props. Loaded to tourney fish right at 100mph on my 21 stroker/ merc 250 pro xb 250. When I had a 225 promax alien cowl on it I was mid 90s.
Kick ass bud. What’s a hull and 2.5 in decent shape worth to buy in 2022 prices ?? I’d love to have one up here in Ontario Canada. What do you call that style of hull (your dads green one and your red one)
Wow man im over here eating dinner", and i see that perfect women ",made me choke up a little their sir!🤝🙁 nice seeing your outboard ",I just got a 1977 johnson v6 200hp got her all put back together",new fuel pump",carb kits"fuel lines, water pump etc and got her timed at .28 degrees at full squirt!! She runs fast and clean
With out a doubt one of the finest (Lower units) I have seen in a long timethat top-end was looking good too! Oh yeah that Merc didn't look bad either.
I love this channel because this is the only channel I've found that messes with old 2 strokes and old race boats. Everyone these days run jet boats thats all you can find on UA-cam. I love this sport I personally have an 87 hidro stream Vagas with a late 80s 175 mercury 2.4 with low water pickup lower unit and I've been slowly restoring it because from the previous owner had it in a storage unit where 3 units down caught fire and spread the the edge of the unti the boat was in the tarp had melted to it and all the plastics slightly melted.
@@billallen4793 haha understandable they burn gass like crazy but I've grown up with them and drag racing them and still do its just something I love too much to get over them 🤣🤣
RV cam? Those don't chop, RV cams are designed around low lift, low RPM, cool valve temps. You're thinking they sound like a high lift, long overlap cam, which is because of the high RPM port timing.
What up bro that Mariner and your merc are so badass!! I recently got line in my prop. I'm leaking oil. Do I need to get that seal replaced or can I still run the motor and just check my lower unit oil everytime I go out?? Thank you if you have any feedback 🤜💥🤛✌️
Man, turn it on and im like now i know he got to be near here, then u put up Suwannee river! My peice of waterway rt there! been on it my whole life been going in the gulf last few yrs tho. Gotta get my lil checkmate back together and hit the river, not as fast as u but i was close back when she wasnt in disrepaer from my x wife! Gotta take it to my man in lake city to redo transom and stringers.
OMG youre using Quicksilver oil. Let me enlighten you on Torco GP-7. Your engine will run better, plugs will last longer, and there wont be any smoke. I used it in my Black Max and my Jetskis when i raced them, my X2 loved it.
@@thebrowncompound its petroleum grade, very crude, and lacks the additives that actually reduce friction and keeps the plugs from fowling. I used Denso IWF24 which is an Iridium plug and makes a difference how well an engine runs. Ive done call kinds of racing (NHRA Stock Eliminator and Super Stock) IDBA and NMRA Prostock motorcycles, IJSBA Modified X2 and Modified Jetski, and terrorized ppl on the Intercoastal in Broward County with my Hydrostream. Im just trying to help you because its what I do.
@@thebrowncompound thats why I had a 30 gallon bow tank made for my Viking. Theyre far too light in the bow, Action Marines are even worse. The added weight from the fuel keeps the bow from rising dangerously high. The use of a cleaver prop made the boat ride more level. The flaws of a Hydrostream is most of the weight was in the stern. Mine came with an 18 gallon tank, add the weight of the battery, the rear seat and the boat becomes extremely unbalanced.
@@thebrowncompound the guys down in Ft lauderdale at Diamond Marine had an Action Marine they claimed to be the fastest anywhere. Im not big on those who make claims like that. Let other mouths praise you is always best. I cant tell you how many Actions I beat but my Black Max wasnt stock either. Putting an 18 inch set back and 15 inch midsection made a big difference, then a 31 inch cleaver prop for transom lift took it from 86 mph to 94. I could have got it to 100 mph if Diamond Marine raised the roof on my exhaust ports. I had 180 lbs of cranking pressure and had the combustion chambers machined at 11 degrees and the gasket surfaced machined .150 thousandths. I mixed my oil at 20 : 1 and used torco synthetic because the surface of the cylinder becomes very slick making the engine rev faster and more freely. Quicksilver oil is petroleum and extremely crude by todays standards.
Are we just gonna ignore the girls dump truck at the beginning
I didn’t
Nope.
Nope. Very nice!!
Subbed.lol
Long day uh boatin, gonna need the snacks. Salmon in the front beef jerky in the back.

NICE
Love the action I had one did 75 scary as hell
It's all about motor height and trim angle. You want one prop blade breaking surface so rooster tail is going low and straight back.
I got her figured out now got it topped out at 83 two people an I could’ve let the wheel go.
V-pad bottom you can go up 1" + above the pad.

I dont own an outboard like these but water in any gear box is never good might cost you more in the long run if you dont fix it before you thrash
@@snikwad003 thank you!!
line in the prop? But I would replace anything needed hard to say without seeing what's causing but leak is no good..
Don't run with a bad prop seal!! Cheap repair vs major $....from Wyoming USA 🇺🇸 🤠
Fix it .
Long live the savage 2.5.
I want more info on the modded v6 2 stroker...thing had some nice heads and I bet some port work.
Doubt it.
Don't need mois with that combo. Set up and seat time
@@johnbernard204 it had some dope alum heads on it . I am sure its got some higher cr domes atleast.
Looks like the twin hull or w/e they're called are better than the mono
