- Recently the OPBRA has been hosting annual drag races in front of the Peterborough Marina in Del Crary Park. Boats race down an 800ft straightaway at speeds well in excess of 100 mph in a head to head format. We followed Greg Keeling, one of the OPBRA founders, to the final race of the season. Peterborough, Ontario has a long and decorated history in the boat and motor building industry, dating as far back as the late 1800’s.

Ive always wanted an Allison bassboat
Lake boat racing was really big back in the 60's and '70's. We went almost every weekend. Salton Sea in Southern California was a big race spot for us. Great memories.

Ahhh this video gives me hope. I have recently rehabbed what I think to be a one or few of a kind(hours and hours of searching the web for this thing) 1990 amateur drag boat/ski looking thing i found in the woods at a salvage yard in Tennessee. If anyone watching this video has an old light fast under 30hp short shaft they are willing to part with for a reasonable price please please please get ahold of me. I feel like I'm chasing unicorns over here haha. Thanks from ohio/tenn

Funny. I have a tbi 175 mercury that runs great. Would love to get rid of it.
I have a 1991 2.4 laser EFI that needs a fuel pump.. and now the cowls.. thanks to Hurricane dorian last year! The engine turns freely and it's for free.. to anyone who wants to pay the shipping from the Bahamas!?!
Their should be a slide bar in front of the engine to slide the driver off if the boat flips. Also, The driver needs a chute at 100 Mph
you know what would happen if you deploy a chute at 100mph in a boat that weighs less than 1200lbs w. driver?

All you have to do is put a Mercury on the back of any boat, and it’s a race boat

They might be out of business but we hv plenty of parts to outrun mercs.
Come find out about the omc motors.
@scottweathersby6659 grew up the son of an omc/merc/abyc tech, merc tech myself but always had v4 johhnyrudes growing up , disable VRO and premix it for peace of mind and you'll never have an issue
