It sounds like your local BK has some QC issues. It also sounds like they need to change the oil in the fryer. I ordered the Spicy Royal Crispy and it wasn’t burnt or rubbery, it was my favorite item out of all them.

So they have jacked it up at twice the rate of inflation. Not that the Whopper is twice as good, but that it is pricing itself out of existence.

If you are talking about the Chicken sandwich, the Royal crispy , the sauce is actually supposed to be applied like the Ketchup, the three ring swirl, on both sides, but yeah so many drown the chicken in the sauce.
@@RoseanneSeason7 because it is time consuming. You want your food quickly. The seasoning is a stupid step, that BK put on to compete with Whataburger. When you make thirty to fifty burgers in a rush, yeah the salt/pepper blend is just a slowdown, that is why no one does it.

That was one of the best looking whoppers that I’ve seen (outside of ads, of course). With the prices where they are now, it should, but it is often not the case.
I do agree with the findings on the Spicy Whopper, had it last week and it was pretty tasty. Definitely a "I'm gonna come back again for this" type of item. The cumulative spice effect was pretty decent too considering the typical fast-food "spicy".

The chicken fries were "burnt" tasting because they were sand bagged and re-fired. A lot of fast food places do that to keep up a good pace during rush hours but if you arrive a little after they get slammed you're VERY LIKELY to get leftovers that they drop back into the fryer and deem it "sellable". This is especially true of any boneless breaded chicken (even for sandwiches), fries, and hash browns. What makes this habit even worse is that it might not even have been busy but some lazy workers drop 2 orders all the time even if they only have one order and what you received was just sitting in the fry basket waiting to get sold "soon enough" or dropped back into the oil because they are a lazy individual. I've worked every front and back of the house position at restaurants. I know for a fact that this happens.

But, most of the time everyone is busy trying to hurry up and get the orders out, short handed or someone didn't do prep or something, so yeah get the customers out quickly. Sometimes people do redrop food, but most of the time it has just been sitting there for more than thirty minutes. Which BK standards you can hold that stuff up to thirty minutes.

I understand how it is for fast food to be "fast" but I've also seen former fast food employees trying to pull that sand bagging tactic in a circumstance where it's not even busy in a sit down restaurant that is not even a fast food chain. They admitted that it was just them wanting to be lazy. They were getting paid more than in a fast food place yet they brought their laziness with them as if it's okay.
Nothing will ever top the Arby’s Diablo sandwich and fries in either spice or taste. God I love that special. No fast food will ever come close in terms of heat level.

In my personal opinion, the chicken sandwich is actually executed very well and the quality varies on the location you go to. Like most fast food joints, the food is hit or miss. The fiery bacon chicken sandwich I had was excellent. The chicken was fresh and it wasnt overly loaded with their toppings but was still very good.
I don't understand what's happened to chicken in the last 5-8 years. This strippy rubber thing has been a plague on chicken sandwiches for years and no one seems to acknowledge it. When I get one, it's inedible. I've heard stories about woody breast but even then, they seem to just pass over it as if it's a minor issue. The industry really needs to take this seriously. They are selling us completely inedible food.

I wouldn't say the chicken fries are "thinly cut" they're more like nuggets, basically just formed into long fingers. I don't know their process but they don't seem to have the texture of an actual piece of chicken breast.

idk what it is about their chicken but its god awful. I got their marinara/italian chicken sandwich or whatever it was called about a year back and it was the only fast food sandwich I found so disgusting I couldn't get through it
