    • @brandiecoyle2254
      @brandiecoyle2254 11 місяців тому +1

      Chin ups are more bicep dominant and work a different part of the back due to the direction the elbow travels in.

    2. Do NOT shrug

      @@cabbage2329 Yeah, I'm not a native english speaker and I am dyslexic. It took me over a year to learn the alphabet. If not for autocorrect it would be a fair bit worse though still mostly readable for people with a moderate knowlage of the english language. I mostly write from the memory of how words are supposed to look. Which makes my written vocabulary a fair bit smaller than my verbal one thanks to me not being able to remember the look of all the english words that I know verbally. It's pretty hard and learning a third language is pure hell. I have pretty much given up on it at this point.
      But yeah, I made a typo, I get more comments saying just that or trying to call me stupid or uneducated because of it than you can imagine. But I have read more than most people twice my age in order to make up for it. When it comes to books we are talking a fair bit into three digits. I used to read one to two book almost every day after I turned 15 all the way to 21. It took a shit ton of work to get to the point of being able to read decently and writing is a lot harder for me. It's easier to see a word and recognize it than it is to try and remember how it looks and write it down right.
      Still I wrote three 250.000+ word books for myself, a whole slew of short stories and plenty of poems in order to help with my writing as well. Poems I found very helpful because you can put whatever restraint on it that you want in order to learn new words and having to read them over and over again in order to find what fits.
      I was praised as half a math prodigy when I was in school, but when letters got mixed up into it to a pretty heavy degree I just found myself starting to sweat, having a damn hard time trying to seperate the letters from the numbers and thus not understanding the sh!t. It just got all mixed up and I kissed my plans of becoming a high tech civil engineer effing goodbye.
      I had a feeling that I might have spelled something wrong because you gave me a pretty weird comment. But I could not identify what was wrong with the spelling so I just assumed it to be a regular weird comment. (Which honestly is preeeetty common on social media hahaha)
      Anyway, it annoys me a bit to get teased that way as it always reminds me of the life I lost because of my disability. I have nothing against being shown what I did wrong, but pure teasing I don't really like.
      Anyway I am going to look up the correct spelling of that word and write it down a few times now. Thanks for explaining by the way, and you don't have to feel bad in any way. You couldn't have known and there are a lot of bone heads out there that actually do deserve to get mocked a little.
      As I said, it just annoys me a bit in the moment and doesn't really affect me.
      Have a good day, and thx for showing the respect of giving an explanation even though I dissed you (from your perspective) pretty much out of nowhere.

      @@djingiskhan4581 Oh goodness, I am so sorry. While it's true that I technically couldn't have known for sure, I should've considered the possibility that something like that was the case. I respect the amount of effort you go through to better yourself in spite of your disability, and wish you nothing but the best!
