I was going to subscribe but you never did a follow up like you said you were going to do. My guess is you lost interest in doing the channel. I just made some planer boards but used cedar and epoxied it to the lazan. Made em 6" X 12" so will have to see how well they work

Cher Vue I say you could give it a try! That would keep you from having to run it about a inch lower like I did in the build. It may be worth the try. This build I know works for sure!

How thick is the plexi glass

The thickness is about 3/32" . Plexiglass can break, Lexan won't break.
