After watching your video for a while I realized I parked on a slope and when I stopped the RV, it rolled back a bit which it never does. So I put it in neutral and it started right up. The neutral safety starter switch sucks cause I've had this problem for a while. But thanks to your video, I'll do the start-in-neutral trick 1st before I go looking for shorts in the wires. Thanks a bunch. God bless my friend.

I need help to find the location of the main battery fuse on a 1988 tioga camper with a ford econoline 350 i hooked up jumper cables backwards now nothing when i turn the key it like i have no battery in ti please help
Sorry, on a camper I wouldn’t know where to look. I have had experience with people reversing jumper cables, it usually does more than just blow fuses. You might need to have it towed to a professional.
Did you ever find out what was wrong? I have a 1985 E350 RV 460 and there is nothing when you turn the key. Has new ignition switch, batteries, starter, fuel pump. He has change the solenoid twice, not new but still changed. The wiring harness had to be rewired due to mice but he took that wiring harness and the other one I bought to fix it and made it work. So he says. But I don't think he checked the neutral safety switch but if he did then we have no clue what is wrong with it. Hope you got it figured out and you get back to me. Thank you in advance.

Lastnight. I cut my truck off to order food in the drive through line. Go to crank it back up and nothing. Radio and lights. Work. But when you go to start it. Nothing. No clicking ,no Nothing. I tried to cross jump it to get me home. She started wanted to turn. Just didn't seem to have enough to crank up. I'm going to try what you just showed me. You don't think it's anything in the steering column?
Jasper Fail what you are saying is when it auto returns from start to run it shuts the engine off correct if so it sounds like you are loosing power to your coil through the ignition switch
I have an 89 f250. same problem. I thought it would be a loose wire shorting out in the steering column. or a failing ignition switch key. cuz sometimes if I wiggle the steering column, the truck will shut off. I guess now it's just a question of taking off the steering wheel and checking out the connections.
I have a 1999 f-350 . i have full power in the battery , it will crank at the solenoid . i have no power inside . no lights . I have replaced the ignition switch and checked all fuses . still no power . CAN SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE .
www.2carpros.com/articles/ford-lincoln-mercury-obd1-1995-and-earlier-diagnostic-trouble-code-definition-and-retrieval This explains way better than I can. Your test port/connection should be around the brake booster/master cylinder area.
Hi Dustin’s mobile wrench I have a question....I own a 1995 F700 with the 7.0. The truck was running last weekend when the truck showed up. The truck has since been sitting and now won’t start. There is power coming from the battery through the relay to power things up. Do you think that it really could be a bad fuel pump or a bad start/bendix
You seem to be asking if it’s a bad starter or fuel pump. So if it’s a crank no start go after fuel or spark. If it’s a no crank no start go after the starter or start circuit powers and grounds.
Started gear is not engaging. More than likely bad starter. Worst case is flex plate is missing teeth. Put a socket or wrench on the crank bolt. Turn the engine over slightly to move where the starter is engaging the gear. If it starts you gotta pull the trans. If there’s no change replace the starter.
@@DIY_IT_DUGG I'll be working on it more tomorrow. It doesn't spool up as if it's missing the flywheel. It cranks similar speed as it would as if it didn't have spark or if it was out of gas. Almost like the crankshaft snapped. Going pull the starter tomorrow though. Going record a video of what it's doing
@@DIY_IT_DUGG pulled the starter. The flexplate spins freely. Can almost spin it a full 360 degrees freely. Then, it hits a stopping point. Assuming snapped some bolts or something. I did just up load a short video just now though.
I connected the negative terminal of my battery with the positive wire. When I put the ground onto the positive terminal it sparked like crazy and then a wire on solenoid fried all the way in half. I’ve read that it may have been a fusible link. Any ideas? It’s a 1988 f150. I know, brain dead move.
That was one of the worst things I've ever heard of someone doing. Connecting a positive battery terminal to the negative? The battery could have exploded, literally. How dangerous can you get. You need some primers in electrical and automotive repair safety.
