I received my Sonic Pad for my Ender 5 plus roughly two months ago and ran updates before printing. It's odd that I don't have some sections that are displayed here, like tuning. Still, loving this series. Thank you for making it.
Because of Ricky's excellent videos, I'll forgive him for the American pronunciation of router. Obviously UK born and bred, he should be proud of his native dialect which means ROOT-A not ROW-TA which is a machine to produce rebates, profiles, etc usually in wood. Having a predominantly US audience does not mean you should fall in line with their language peculiarities. Please be proud of your ROOTS
Can you now controll the sonic pad via the creality cloud? Looking to get a sonic pad but really want to be able to control it away from the home network
does anyone know if theres a way to adjust the z offset adjustment values? the minimum adjustment value is .05, why would they not make it .01?? I am trying to make it to where you can adjust your z offset by .01 instead of .05 at the bare minimum
I have been devouring your videos - Thank you so much for this extremely well-done series! This has made my Sonic Pad acquisition so much more enjoyable.
love your video,s, great source of info I have an ender3 v2 ,sprite pro extruder, a sonic pad which is going great! one thing that is puzzling me is when it doe,s the bed levelling it does it three times before the print starts. Is there a reason for this or can i make it only do one somehow?
My SonicPad has had a Static IP set on my router, but it keeps losing it's IP address every time it resets or somehow loses connection, how do I set the SonicPad itself to know it has a static IP like I would with a Pi?
I'm a beginner user of a 3D printer, I own an Ender 3 S1 Pro for about a month. Only today I find your channel - very proffesional, one of the best for 3D printing. For remotely control I use IP addres followed by port number :8819 (I don' remember where I find this information) and the interface look different - I can't tell that is better or worse, you're the specialist. :) I also tested a webcam A4Tech PK-940HA and it's work fine. 👍
The Creality cloud button just brings up a QR code and says "This function will be opened in the future, you can scan the QR code above to access the creality cloud"
love our videos, thank you so much. I'm struggling to connect to moonraker or through a web UI as it just says "klippy not connected" ive factory reset my sonic pad twice, reloaded both printers and reinstalled cura but still no success. It worked previously when one printer was connected so I'm not sure what to do next. a video on this would be much appreciated!! ty
i just wonder why this user icon is displayed as i could not find any way of creating users, or managing accounts or groups .. that would be useful to log history of who printed what , in a fablab for instance, or a school. Anybody has any idea ?
Hi, I love your insight and help. Is it possible to use my remote ability if I’m traveling for business? Or do I have to be within range of my Wi-Fi and Sonic. To be able to access? I left the house and I have a print that has another 7 hours to go. Was hoping I could end the print without scaring my wife to death and instructing her how too. 😂
Hi, unfortunately, at the moment it's not possible without using something like Google Remote Desktop to remote into a computer that can connect on the same network. As I'm a little late replying, I guess you decided on a solution already😬
Hello! My Sonic Pad does not show an IP address in the WiFi menu, but does for the LAN. Chatting online with the Creality tech support they tell me one cannot control the pad via a web browser. ?? I have a latest firmware loaded and the tech could not comment when I said I had watch tutorials such as yours. Could you give me some guidance and insight into this? Thank you.
Oh wow, they are very wrong! I have had a couple of instances where the WiFi has been flakey and I've had weird stuff like no IP address showing. Usually, I only get these sort of issues when the pad is a little further from my router even though the signal strength is looking fine on the pad. When I place it as close as I can with as little as possible blocking it, it seems to be fine. Try a reset and placing the Pad in different positions if you can. Hopefully you will get an IP address show. The other option, if it is connecting but just not showing the IP is to go into your router settings and try to identify the Sonic Pad in the list of connected devices and find the IP that way.
@@RickyImpey Thank you for your reply and your advice. For whatever reason (I made no changes) when I disconnected and reconnected the WiFi - the IP address appeared and I could access it via my web browser. Oddly, it will only recognize the 2.4G network and not the 5G? Anyway, thank you for your time and information. I am saving and reviewing your videos. Cheers.
Hi i have my sonic finally set up. I changed the motherboard to 4.2.7 and that stopped the heartbreak! Just a quick couple of questions do you know if you can use beagle camera with sonic? Also can you do e steps calibration on sonic?
Hi Yvonne, sorry it's taking a while to get to your comments, I seem to be getting a lot at the moment with the Sonic Pad series which is great but takes me a while to get through them. Hopefully you've seen the new e-steps/rotational distance video which should answer your question. As far as using the Beagle Cam, I don't think it is possible no.
@@RickyImpey Thank you Ricky. I understand you are busy with making great videos. I am hoping you will cover pressure advance as everything else I have watched has me baffled!
@@RickyImpey yes thank you so much, your content is great as it’s focus on the key areas. Unlike some UA-camrs mention the benefits but don’t go into the detail of how to do it. Really appreciate it. As a newbie to 3d printing and got the E3 S1 Pro as my first printer this is exactly what I need to get going. Thanks
Once in one of your videos you discussed how to level the bed. The command M420 S1 Z10 was used there. My Sonic Pad just arrived today and I'm wondering if this command will be needed here?
I was wondering the same! I have my sonic pad but im having abit of trouble with the bed mesh... dont know if it has anything to do with the m420 s1 though
M420 doesn't do anything with Klipper. I have a video coming soon showing what you need to do but, basically, replace any line in your start g-code that has g29 or m420, with a line that says 'BED_MESH_PROFILE REMOVE=default'. This tells Klipper to use the saved bed mesh when printing just like the m420 code.
@@svenop It would be nice, yes. I know the Beagle Cam people pay for servers and such, there is a lot going on behind the scenes and they have new stuff coming too🤫

This is NOT connecting remotely, everything you described is absoutely still local access
Ur right but he does say on the same network
Agreed and dissapointed.
I'm trying the port forwarding route after giving the printer a local static IP.
What great information. Thank you sir! I was going to make a channel to outline exactly what you have done but you did it so good I have no reason.

Can you make a video on connecting remotely using a raspberry pi as VPN?
Hi mate, great videos! Accessing moonraker on my local network only works when mye printer is printing. Is it possible to keep it always accessible?
It should be accessible any time the Sonic Pad is powered and connected to WiFi, mine is.
wait how do i get it to connect on google tho i cant figure this out
