- This was a very exciting trip for myself and my new 'plane friend', Nick Buckley. After taking him up in a Mainair Eurostar in January 2019, Nick bought his own. The only issue was that Juliet Romeo was based in a danger area near Salisbury and he needed to bring it home. This is part 1 of our adventure bringing her back to Arclid International Airfield in Cheshire. Part 2 features a tour of Kemble airfield and our remaining three legs to Arclid via Halfpenny Green and Otherton.

Great vid. Nick is a lucky guy. Lots personal cues for me. I fly from Clench Common immediately north of the Danger Area. You can hear and feel the artillery when they are firing. Have flown the white horses many times. Even flown in a Hughes 500 several times when working in Canadian Arctic many moons ago.

Loved this episode Rory. It was particularly good to see Dunkeswell and Kemble again as I last saw them on my qualifying cross country from Compton Abbas. Can't wait for part 2.

Great video. I chartered a Hughes 500 at Shoreham eons ago for my sisters 21st. It was nice of you to jog my old memory. I wondered whether Ben would feature when you mentioned Kemble. He’s another UA-camr I’m enjoying on my daily commute...

Adrian Arnold yeah, I think there is one in a Nicholas Cage film called ‘wings of the Apache’ flown by the baddie. And yeah, I’m sure I’d get a few offers of passengers if I had the PA46!

Last time I was lucky enough to have a go in a Helo was on ferry trip with dad and a friend to pick up a Cessna in a Scout. Happy days - 1990s. Around Thruxton, Old Sarum etc is some restricted and interesting airspace.
I was very impressed with how you guys dealt with the first leg, exciting times! Good support from you Rory. I'm familiar with Kemble, busy place these days. Nice you met up with Ben.

I bought my aircraft from Andy at AT Aviation. Not one regret. Decent guy, yes he's a salesman, but our deal was fair and easy. And he can talk sh*t about aircraft all day long ;-)
