Btw: Jungkook was underage at that time and bought the burgers with his own money. I can't imagine, what his parents must have thought while seeing this.
I have to skip through that part... his sweet little face just makes me sad and angry and completely baffled how anyone could have treated him that way.
I still can't watch that, I was furious when they did the show with him. JK and BTS are forgiving tupe, ARMY not so much. I love how ARMY collectively bought all advert spaces on that show for BTS adverts. Lmao. Power of protective and unforgiving ARMY.
that broke my heart, that was so mean. I hate that they treated him like that, along all the other hardships they went through. BTS has time and time again shown how good of people they are by their actions, mannerisms, and their ability to respond appropriately to every obstacle that gets thrown their way. They deserve so much more and im so happy that through all of this army has stood by their side and continues to protect them. We are bulletproof together BTS 💜
This video is just a very small proof of why BTS deserve what they asked for in the dinner festa 2022...for always being humble, hardworking, passionate, mature, loving and grateful, they deserve to live with no rules or anyone to judge, they're humans after all, and after more than 9 years of running and running, they wanted to slow down a bit and search for their identity back, they finally decided to take a breath and go with the flow and I truly appreciate and love how they handled it for so long, they're the strongest people I've ever known, they inspire me everyday, and I will always be by their side encouraging and pushing them up, because just like RM said previously "please use me, use BTS to love yourselves, cause you guys taught me how to love myself everyday" They made me feel at home, the most calm, peaceful and comforting home I've ever had, and I'll always love them deeply and be thankful for their existence, also for never giving up!! So excited to watch your reaction💜

I was one of those people 4 years ago, when my daughter first introduced me to BTS. I couldn't see how great they were because I was biased. Not biased against Koreans. Biased against Boy Bands. Because I had that unquestioned American distaste for boy bands, I couldn't see how amazing BTS actually is. Luckily when Map of the Soul: 7 came out, I re-evaluated them and I am so glad I did. BTS, I wasn't with you in the beginning, but I will be with you till the end.
I can relate to this a bit. I grew up listening to older music from my parents and grandparents generations, so boybands were never really my thing. I always thought most of them were pretty corny🤣 Much of BTS’ early tracks took me back to childhood songs, and once I got into their lyrics and realizing how deep a lot of them were, not only making romantic pop songs but really pushing the envelope for the content of modern pop especially Kpop, I fell in the rabbit hole💜
These are just let's say 5% of everhthing, at least we all have the overview of what they've gone through. I love that after all the hardahips, they remained grounded and always striving to work harder and harder. Every. Single. Time. 💯
35% is more accurate. The scandals/problems are way less compared to before. If we exclude the ones in the video, i wouldn't say 90-95% is missing but something similar to 50-65%
When it is about fair representation this is pretty close (have awards/chart rules being changed cuz bts wins consecutively or create strict rules that after only bts and make it 4x as harder compared to what other artist has to go through) worse part is that it not an indeed fact
Another example, just yesterday Tae was attacked for having an "attitude" at the airport when he was back from Paris, just because he prioritized his safety and went straight to his car like his staff told him without posing for reporters and fans who waited (on their own), cz there was some crazy stalkers who caused a problem there that the police had to step in and change his car placement multiple times for security, yet his kind soul waved for them in his car and apologized on weverse app for not being able to say hi (when he really didn't have to apologize) and it's not the first time he was attacked or hated on, seriously a lot of antis hate the members for very stupid and childish reasons and I always wonder how do people like that exist...
It's really just saddening how much tae's bubbly and extroverted nature turned into more introverted and calm one now. He was sooo carefree but now he tend to think before doing something becouse of these kind of people. His grandmother raised him for 14 years and after that he came to Seoul and became trainy and on her death he was called attention seeker. Thank God he have good people in his near circle who understand him.
It's called selfish. Happy for his body guards who do take good care of him. No apologies needed from him at all People need to know their own place and stay there. Hope all 🚶🚶♂️🚶🚶♂️🚶🚶♀️🚶♂️
@@foxeswolves2419 I'm really glad he went to Paris and had fun, I think we're gonna see him act more carefree in the next days as he said he wants to show us more versions of himself, I love seeing him being himself and I do think he's a very honest and straightforward person who doesn't hold back, he's so kind yet knows how to let others know their limits, I admire his confidence and personality a lot 💜
The Rise of Bangtan explained well the "Big Three Privilege" when it came to the impact of coming from a small agency. They found a way to connect with fans despite their limited resources. You are correct about many of these efforts having the intention of breaking up BTS. Most of these hardships came from other fandoms trying anything they could to deter BTS's success, because BTS affected the standing of their fav group. Tae's family worked out of town and he saw his parents on weekends only. He was raised by his grandmother and was incredibly close to her. It takes the lowest of the low form of human to attack and mock him over his pain. When she talk about the fans filing a petition with the "Blue House" that is huge. The Blue house is the equivalent of America's "White House"....complaining to the government that your group got beat by another....just wow. I think all threats, no matter where they are made have to be taken equally seriously....one never knows. When that threat was made against Jimin (that he would be killed during a concert), Jin wore the same outfit as Jimin to deflect from him....an unbelievably brave and selfless move by Jin. ARMY doesn't play ...their "White Paper Project" proves to what lengths they will go to correct wrongs against BTS. You have to love how BTS never loose their cool...even when being faced with ridiculous claims in person (being accused of being girls, accusations of plagiarism at a press conference)...always very professional....Mic Drop. Once Naver (the Google of Korea) lost the revenue they would have received from BTS's first online concert (which they chose to do on their own platform), Naver stopped including BTS in their search engine algorithm. Because BTS didn't use the usual Korean media platforms to become successful, the Korean media became salty and rarely reported on BTS's achievements. The fact that BTS became as successful as they are DESPITE all the attempts to thwart their success makes it even more impressive. I think these international media outlets mocking BTS are the type of people who are only in it for the shock value...good attention or bad, they still got attention. Very sad. Hmmm...if you need a European or American boyband at the top, maybe you should up your game and get to the top on your merits. I like your definition of ANTI..lol. Mine would be Absurd Nonsensical Theatrical Ignorance. Humour at the expense of others is the worst kind of humour in my opinion. BTS + ARMY forever. As described in xCeleste's video about ARMY...BTS was the talent and ARMY was the driving force. Thank you for not including Joe Budden's clip, he doesn't deserve the airtime. Another "shock value" media clip...ugh. Thanks for a deep dive.
Learning about this made me understand the fans that became overprotective about BTS. Nowadays, with their popularity and relevance in the music world, sadly, they still have a lot of haters. I guess it's just because they still don't know BTS enough. I am thankful that I gave them a chance. I am happier now and so proud of them, their talents, achievements, the kind of men they have become, and I'm happy that many are influenced by their goodness. Proud ARMY here!
Just like how content about BTS accolades needs to be updated annually because they keep winning but unfortunately we will also need these hardship videos updated because they still get hate.
A lot of the overprotective fans, specifically the "ARMY shooters" aren't old fans (not from before 2018) though. More like fans who learned about a lot of these situations after they happened, so their anger is more recent, or they want to overcompensate. There used to be a lot of resentment from armys who joined very early, but I think we have more perspective about how not to over react or what can backfire... Or were more burn out and less on social media.
@@lobaetoile8440 Wow someone who's honest, first time to see an army like you who's aware that they already attracted a bunch of millions fans that are both bad and good.
@@assyle_ It's normal, because BTS is now a known name on mainstream music around the world and it's easier to bump into their content. Also, a lot of people during quarantine were in need of a distraction. But, many people were accustomed to being fans on a very casual way and may be experiencing this level of attachment to an artist for the first time... Although I'm under the impression there's more people who used to be fans of other boy band or young pop stars... And no matter how much some want to believe that Kpop is the most toxic with pop singers/groups or that ARMY is a predominantly toxic fandom... (Which is absolutely not true at all, the proof is how people behave on concerts and on real life.) The reality is: 1st that fandoms such as One Direction or Justin Bieber have a similar type of stalker fans (obviously I'm just talking about extreme fans, I know it's not everyone)... Although much more sexualized and more immerse on a celebrity culture/absolute lack of privacy (on the other hand, less exposed to control when it comes to parties, dating, social life, living alone... Also, I assume better payed.) [I didn't know about Larry for example, and when I researched it, I was terrified... And the sexual advances from fans/even older women and they were minors, this is apparently a thing... Obviously, the artist can take advantage of fans too, but that's not the topic here] And 2nd, fandoms of that type are full of solo stans. Boy Bands, Rock groups and even pop punk bands fandoms (I didn't know this before)... Apparently, having only one favorite is "the norm". The culture of inclusion, teamwork, solidarity and respect that ARMYs (aka being OT7- spreading a message) have tried to stablish is not the norm, it's not something that happens frequently with pop acts. A factor that may influence this is how frequently western famous bands have member who absolutely hate each other and after disbanding may 'expose' the other or badmouth them... I am sure in Kpop there are groups that don't get along, but respect is a big deal there, so it may be more of a 'cold shoulder' than 'fist fight', or at least they're discreet. There are so many western groups and duets in which even SIBLINGS! hated and betrayed each other (i am flabbergasted by this)... There's also a difference in general between western and eastern fandom, when it comes to the attitude towards the company. This attracts conflict. The west idolizes individuality, with that comes agression when it comes to journalists, media or record labels making any mistake... Even towards the idols... "Cancel culture, cyberbullying". They also assume that they know which are the smartest decisions, they don't understand the business. (Entitlement). This clashes with Eastern people who have a community oriented culture, who may try to defend everyone without making constructive criticism or even the idea of "we have to support other groups"... This isn't always bad, but it makes others extremely angry. There's also more entitlement when it comes to controlling the artist decisions sometimes (who they can collab with, etc). Of course, there's also the typical trolls who aren't on fandoms with the only purpose of getting into fanwars and fighting, to relieve whatever negative feelings they have at home. All of this is, of course, my own perspective/speculation... I may be wrong about many things.
ANTI A- Antagonistic N-Nauseating T-Tasteless I-Ignorant These are just some of the words I think when I hear an ANTI. RM said to not pay attention to the NEGATIVES but only to the POSITIVES. For the ANTIS It's not too late. There were haters that ended becoming an ARMY after learning about BTS. Tomorrow I might be a tiny bit wiser, and that's me, too. These faults and mistakes are what I am, making up the brightest stars in the constellation of my life. I have come to love myself for who I was, who I am, and who I hope to become. -RM These haters are the loneliest people. They need to learn how to have an open mind, a big heart and most of all they need to learn how to love themselves and let all the hatred go.

The Zach Sang show one was particularly painful because BTS had been on Zach's show a few times already and he was always nice to them. The fact that he didn't bother to stop his guests from making those rude comments or even try to correct them was such a betrayal for BTS and ARMYs. He even joined in and "joked" about BTS... What a coward for not standing up for what is right. There are probably millions of antis, just a few years back, we only had 1 or 2 fandoms from other groups that were on our side. Every other fandom was teaming up on twitter just to hate and bully the boys, it was honestly disgusting and plain childish. Scrolled through the comments section and saw that you guys will be doing something with the "Rise of Bangtan" series soon, can't wait!!!!
I am a 54 year old Army who loves BTS as a group and each member individually. Beautiful, talented, hard working with strength and perseverance are just a few words that describe them. What you do in your reactions is truly refreshing. The same words apply to your work Your are intelligent and I look forward to your work. Thanks for being so incredibly different in line of work!
Me too. I’m 47 and have been an ARMY since 2018! I’m only upset that I never found them sooner! But I don’t have a bias in the group. I love each and everyone collectively and individually the same. Who I may listen to the most one day just depends on my mood that day. If I’m tense I listen to Jimin and JK. If I’m angry it’s Suga and RM for sure! But if I’m upbeat it’s JHope! But most days it’s just a collective playlist of group and solo songs on shuffle!
This is a Good way to deeply know BTS, You'll appreciate and understand them even more, knowing the path, and the struggles they encountered in this journey. Also, the reason why we ARMY are protective of them is that we know they aren't worth those bashing / Negativity. We are also NOT overacting. We just really know their hardships and they don't deserve those words from this harsh world.
17:46 this was a SUPER SHORT clip of this moment.. but baby jungkook was so shy and a bit timid around newer ppl back then… and doing this show alone with no members. The discussion went on for longer than necessary but the part that makes me so sad for him.. was it was bad enough they just wouldn’t take this gesture of kindness that he brought for them.. but he’s so young.. and the men were making fun of the food but he would ask them what was wrong and try to explain and they totally ignored him.. which is why he turns to the crew and asked why they wouldn’t accept it.. bc they were answering him… saying it was left overs and he went and knelt down on his seat while they kept saying it was weird and not gonna take it while he sat there taking deep breaths.. with a fake smile on his face until they just gave it back and told him to go sit and they were going to start.. and he’s sitting there with legit tears in his eyes kinda zoning out for awhile. Just knowing how shy he was and stuff it kills me to see him treated like he didn’t exist. The v and his grandma thing is the one that really absolutely breaks me… the disgusting and horrific comments were vile. You don’t have to like bts or v but that was going way too far.. just bc you like another group.. it’s devastating.. it really is.
I have no words for the embarrassement I feel for the German media as a whole concerning the comments the radio-host made. The articles other outlets wrote about the incident were all along the lines of "poor misunderstood radio-host got attacked by rabid fans because he didn't like BTS music". German Army was never ever angry about anyone not liking BTS' music. The excuse in the style of "I'm sorry you feel that way but I'm a good person and don't deserve this backlash" did not help but was painted as entirely sincere and satisfactory by the media. Due to Army's persistence, the host is not on air any longer and hosts a podcast instead. Recently, he announced that he plans to publish a book about his experience with the "shitstorm" he received by "rabid fans". It's tiring for us to deal with our media that's very much centered around the attitudes and feelings of old, white man who get to say whatever they want without consequence. We won't stop, though. I just hope that BTS don't even see half the stuff "experts" post about them.
Every time I see that clip of young JK with the burgers breaks my heart 💔. And for him to hug him with a big heart years later kills me even more. I love them so much they deserve the world. I just dk why there’s so much hate. There’s no need for if you don’t like their music don’t listen just go bout your business it’s that simple ppl! Love y’all’s reactions and your opinions and inputs as always looking forward to more 💜
You guys are one of, if not, the most thorough and insightfully open-minded and just kind reactor channels I’ve ever seen. You both are just so human. It’s how we all should be and how ARMY is (well most/true ARMY) Just wanted to say that and that I’m glad you guys have found BTS and so glad that ARMY have gained you in this family💜 always much love
They have been through a lot of shit. Media says that armys are overprotective with bts, how can we not be??? They are treated like shit, when the only thing they wanted to do is help people. I feel disgust from people who hate on anyone good-hearted like them. And you know what, most of the people that hate on bts do not have anything in life, and say shit because of gelousy.
Guys! I just wanna give you both the biggest thank you! In this space we often have people come in with an agenda, an agenda that’s not always pure in nature. People see our passion for BTS and they leech off it. It’s frustrating when you see that someone has no real desire to learn, understand or even genuinely enjoy in some cases. I’m not saying that everyone has to go as deep as you do, but I do think I can speak for the fandom when I say that the way you guys do things here is so appreciated. Of course everyone experiences things in their own way, and that’s their right. You can stay surface level and just enjoy the music. But for a lot of us, BTS is an extremely profound and important part of our lives, and it’s so beautiful and relieving (considering what you saw the members go through in this video) to see people really take the time to fully understand and immerse themselves. As you can probably imagine, it gets extremely tiresome when BTS and our fandom are constantly put down, misjudged, used and bullied. It’s painful when we’re painted with certain labels, such as ‘the screaming teenage fangirl’ or when BTS are painted with the ‘surface level, bubblegum pop, kpop machine’ label. I think you can probably understand perfectly why that can feel so demoralising after seeing the diversity in our fandom and hearing songs like Born Singer etc. These seven incredible humans are unfortunately the victim of a bitter world, in which people are uncomfortable with seeing genuine success and happiness through hard work, talent and pure intention, all because of toxic work culture, toxic societal expectations and perpetual cynicism. People are ALWAYS trying to twist their words and actions, trying to find dirt on them, trying to demotivate them, because the world is so unused to seeing genuinely good people succeed. There always has to be a catch, a downfall. Because how else will these miserable people feel better about themselves if people seemingly so far above them are genuinely good and pure. We have grown a real family and community in this fandom space, but our greatest strength is diversity. Peoples age, gender, sexuality, race, nationality. All of that gives us the greatest advantage ever, and that is different experiences, different thought processes, different perspectives. This fandom is not a monolith, we don’t have a hive mentality outside of being a decent humans and supporting our favourite artist. That is why we’re powerful. None of these naysayers can take us down because we aren’t one big machine with a glaring fault to be attacked. They can’t take down BTS with all of this idiocy they throw at them, because we as a fandom know them, we have a relationship with them. Yes, I know they don’t know me personally, but what I do know is that they care about me, genuinely. And that goes for every other ARMY. They really do care about us. They share things with us, they don’t hide or put themselves on a celebrity pedestal. They actively pursue and maintain a genuine relationship with us. The media and the industry hate us because they can’t control us with narratives and articles. If they write something ridiculous, usually every other fandom would be in outrage and there’d be chaos. But we can immediately be like “Nah, they’d never do that” or “This member would never say that. We know you’re lying because they don’t even talk like that.” Billboard tried doing that last year and we immediately called bs because we know that’s just not the way the members act or speak. And they got mad because they realised we won’t fall for their lies. At the end of the day, the hate, the racism, the lies, the bullying will never stop. But we’ll be continuing to support them as hard as we can. I’m so happy you guys are taking the time to see and appreciate that. It means so much. I hope you’re enjoying your journey! I can’t wait to carry on reliving my journey with you guys! Borahae 💜 Editing to add this!!!! : A - Antagonistic N - Noxious T - Tedious I - Incredulous
This comment was so good, we had to read it 3 times. You are SPOT ON with everything you said. The DIVERSITY of ARMY is indeed the greatest strength for sure!! You all have had to endure the vitriol that comes your way, and have handled it with grit and grace. We are here for the LONG journey and people like you are who we do it for. Sending so much love to you!! (By the way, wonderful words haha.. my goodness, are you a professor?) 💜💜
@@JaredandJordan Ah! I’m happy you guys liked it! I have a tendency to get overly verbose and passionate when it comes to BTS. Although, you’re probably used to that with ARMY by now lol 😭😂. Thank you for your kind words, we really do go through so much as a fandom, and so do our seven guys. As silly as it may seem, it’s nice to have people like you (although you’re part of us now 🥰) just recognise that, sympathise and support us for a change, rather than just scoffing or being dismissive or joining in on the crap. You know it’s bad when we have to be thankful for that, since kindness should really be the bare minimum, smh 🙄. Lmao, I wish I was a professor, I’m not sure how easy that would be at 24. I'm so glad you watched this can't wait to see your reaction. This video made to remind armys that how bts fight fairly with nearly everyone in the music endustry. those kpop fans and big 3 companys tried so many ways to block bts but bts is god's favorite and despite all this they grow bigger and bigger every year. They even gave chance to those big 3 company's groups to be known by many poeple they paved the way for all of them
I want to address a quote from the beginning about "a scare in the fandom". People who thought that BTS was breaking up and were panicking didn't watch their Festa Dinner Party, where they clearly said that they're taking a brake, aren't disbanding and will record their show Run BTS. A lot of people just went with a flow of what media and people on the Internet wrote without watching Dinner Party. I know that for western fans who have no idea about South Korean industry the word "hiatus" is traumatic when it comes to the boy groups, but taking breaks from group music activities, releasing solo albums instead and still being a group is something normal in South Korea due to mandatory military service. Most of ARMYs who watched Dinner Party cried because there was a lot of emotions during the show. BTS cried and we felt sorry that they felt guilty for taking a break and thought that they would disappoint us with their decision. Never in my life I would be disappointed because of it. They need to rest and have time for themselves. I'm not going anywhere and I'm ready to support their solo activities 💜
Hearing this information always tears my heart out. They say the best revenge is living well. No one has worked harder or survived so much hatred and s**t. Their strength in the face of these constant adversities gives me strength to carry on through my troubles. BTS is the best. Always will be.
I’ve just gone through all your reaction videos to BTS and I want to sincerely thank you for going into this with so much respect and kindness. As an Asian Canadian, I’m very familiar with the kind of racism and xenophobia that BTS has faced during their career. They are the first and only group that has ever given me a bit of representation in the media, and it’s such a special bonus to know that they are also sincerely good human beings. I am always wary of non-asians who choose to do reactions about BTS because oftentimes they don’t put in the effort to learn their names or acknowledge/distinguish their personalities or achievements. Many UA-camrs brush it off because it’s “too hard” to distinguish their faces and Asian mannerisms are unfamiliar to them. The effort that you guys have put in from the very beginning to give such important representatives of Asian culture the respect and consideration they deserve warms my heart. I’m very grateful for your sincerity. Thank you so much💜
We truly truly appreciate you for writing this comment. Thank you!! We try our very hardest to put a ton of care and respect into our videos. BTS is changing the world and saving peoples lives. We’re so glad to hear how impactful they have been for you 🙏🏽🙏🏽💜💜
Can't wait to see your reaction guys. Their story and them are Inspiring. They made me work harder for my goals. It's been 5 years since i became a fan. Every day, I would watch dance practice videos, they would often share behind the scenes of their performance preparations, they would share with us what they do in their own lives and i would be like how do they do this? How do they not give up? They showed me that dreams really come true. I love them so much 💜
Antagonistic - Noxious - Tyrannical - Incendiary. Imagine ten years of this bombardment, they deserve a break and a rest. Such wonderful young men. At seventy years of age they have brought a lot of joy into my life since I became Army four years ago. I Love their music and all that they stand for. I Loved the music of my youth but not the example the groups of my day set for their fans. This is why I appreciate them so much. Love your reactions and the way you conduct yourselves. I love the effort and research that you include into your reactions. I love the anthology album Proof as it has all their older tracks which are wonderful and truly their music. I also particularly like their cover of Coldplay’s ‘Fix you’ regardless of the ignorant German DJ’s viewpoint, it is worth a listen to as the rappers sing in harmony to the vocalists something different to what they usually do. Please continue to enjoy your journey with them. Stay safe and healthy. Love from Western Australia. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
I suggest reacting to Festa 2022 video because personally for me, it was proof that how much army matter to bts. I don't think any artist has ever sat down for an hour and explained openly their reasons for taking certain decisions. To me it represents how mature they are and how much they value being authentic in their craft. They were vulnerable and yet very clear and mature. I would love for you to see this video. It makes me proud of them and love them even more. 💜
Thanks Juhi! We will definitely be watching Festa 2022 at some point, but think we should wait to listen to more of their music/learn more about them to appreciate it in it’s entirety! :)
The way the media reacted to the news of bts' temporary break both inside and outside of korea is honestly just another example of how they mistreat bts. Bts released their map of the soul: 7 - album in early 2020 and were supposed to go on tour and take this break afterwards but because of covid, the tour got postponed and eventually cancelled. Half the music industry were on break because of the pandemic, which is understandable, but bts improvised and kept producing content *for us*. They had the perfect opportunity to take a break but they didn't. Instead, they released their first english single in fall 2020, held a 2-day online concert a month later, released the BE-album at the end of the year, butter in spring 2021, permission to dance a few months later in the summer and finally held in-person concerts in LA, LV and seoul from the end of 2021 to early 2022. That whole time they were bottling up their feelings and when they finally got to share them with armys on bts' 9th anniversary, their words were twisted for clickable headlines. Although there were translation errors in the video, the members themselves made it very clear that this isn't the end, but rather a healthy plan for them to re-discover themselves as individuals so they can become an even better, stronger team. K-media was just as bad as western media and namjoon even wrote a letter on weverse the day after about how the media has twisted the narrative and how a part of him regrets being so open and vulnerable (twitter.com/jjimvely/status/1537120871340384256?s=20&t=C1s9iDHmdTXcuxBQq_6_mg). It's already heart breaking enough that they had to keep quiet for two years but what makes it even worse is how the members were made to feel like they have to tip toe around their feelings and how they choose to express them, all for people who literally couldn’t care less. It just breaks my heart to know that the pain they've been carrying and their honest vulnerability is being exploited like this for a couple of clicks on some articles.
Guys .. I appreciate the way you express your thoughts on bts and what they endured.. i just gotta say I appreciate you both and honestly you have the most soothing and calmest voices ever . Thank you for understanding our boys...... I'm 41 and army 💜 enjoying your content and reactions. Keep it 💯 x

BTS found me when I was at my lowest. When life didn’t make sense, they gave me a new meaning to it. My love for them is down to my core. So its heartbreaking to see that even until today, despite their humongous success, people even media or industry still belittle and disrespect them. If we only live life with RESPECT, how beautiful and better this world would be! Btw, BTS chapter 2 is crazzzzyyyy! Loving every bits of it! Thank you for being authentic on your reviews and comments about BTS. Apobangpo!
As an active Army, I hear that I am crazy because I care too much. I am tired of this sometimes, to be honest. People might think we are some intense, angry, and weird fandom. But all we want is for people to live them alone so we can rest and enjoy. As people continue to harass them for just who they are and hate their simple existence, Army will protect them. Because these little 7 boys from Korea are the artists we like, they are a genuine good force and good for us. I am a grown woman. So I won't let anyone diminish my excitement and belittle what brings me joy just because they cant relate. Thank you guys for the hard work. Your mindsets are refreshing.💜
the racism those boys face is the most heartbreaking part for me.. as an asian, seeing an asian group like bts become soo successful worldwide, not just in the west, makes me so happy beyond words. unfortunately the west think they're the center of the world, and everyone else is below them. but then came bts, and not only did they prove that they're successful, they became more successful than a lot of artists in their own country, and the western industry especially has been acting like an outsider broke in into their house and that's just "wrong", simply because bts are asian, they're not necessarily fluent in english and are not singing in english, they look "different".. but as an asian, im so so happy that wonderful genuinely good ppl like bts are representing me and showing the world that you deserve to be heard no matter where you come from, what language you speak, what you look like. especially with the pandemic asians have faced so much racism online, but bts, as one of the faces of asia, not only saw these posts online (you'd be shocked if you saw the daily racist posts and how easy it is for some ppl to be racist towards them on twitter) but they also heard them to their face, sometimes because the racist thought they couldn't understand them lol even after so many years they're still making them feel like outsiders or aliens or unwelcomed which is heartbreaking.. racism towards anyone is just pathetic and disgusting
Even this week, the president of Korean Singers Association encouraged BTS to come of their “hiatus” because it will diminish the Korean wave and hurt the tourism industry in Korea. It’s as if BTS owes it to Korea. It’s amazing how often the Korean establishment uses BTS without truly acknowledging them as people. It’s just been an uphill battle from the start and I truly hope the members get to rest, recharge, find inspiration, and come back as a group with renewed energy. Thank you.
By the way the segment in which the White Paper Project was discussed is a must watch. Dr. Lee explains the nature of Army and I learned so much about how organized and thoughtful the Army is. It is truly amazing.
Our president, best leader(RM) once said: ARMY THAT I KNOW IS STRONG, BTS THAT YOU ALL KNOW, WE’RE LITERALLY STRONG, WE ALWAYS FIND A WAY. IF THERE IS NO WAY, LET’S DRAW THE WHOLE MAP AGAIN. may your souls be blessed 🥹 for this great reaction. I love you 💜💜
*About song "War of hormones" controversy:* so..let me clear the misunderstanding k-popies hv and few Armys hv about this song which was blown out of proportion by h@ters & Antis to create drama that time, which worked cuz k-popies & media latched on it... *This is going to long a$$ comment* Let's be real, War of Hormones wasn't misogynistic. It was just an honest song about what guys in that age range go through. They were straight up saying that they struggle with their hormones when they see a pretty girl, *and guess what? That's just being honest.* 👁️👄👁️ The title itself gives a clear idea to how they see it. A war. An internal conflict. And it's true to what guys in their late teens and early 20s go through. Bangtan has always been about talking about their experiences and being a voice of people their age. The entire album, Dark & Wild, was really just about the turmoils of young adulthood. In the title of the album too, you can already tell what the sentiment was going to be. The first 3 albums spoke about school and issues of teens. And then from there, the darker days of coming to terms with adulthood. And then the HYYH series. Everything was thematic with stories they wanted to tell as they go through life. Antis and fans of other groups were just grasping at straws to find something to shit on and unfortunately the media picked up on it and then some ARMY took it as truth and they themselves started talking as if the song was offensive. It isn't. We need to stop spreading this story as if BTS were misogynistic boys who needed to learn a lesson. Yes, Namjoon has learned a lot from the experience and has gone out of his way to speak to experts in women's studies, but I'm sure that whole ordeal also caused him unnecessary pain. *Now, My personal take on this:* I don't see anything wrong with the lyrics of the song. All boys go through puberty and the things BTS sung in this are just reflective of their experience going through that phase in their lives. This is the reason I love them and their songs.. they didn't hide anything and covered all the feelings/thoughts of a person who is in his/her adolescent...one can see them growing up from then till today…I personally don't find the lyrics offensive and “most” Armys as well..as I agree they are expressing the struggles of dealing with hormonal changes in adolescence, and I'm sorry but sexual attraction is the number one pressing issue in most hormonal teens regardless of gender. There's a couple of issues I take with people who found this offensive. First, the double standard. You can't tell me young women were purely innocent in their thoughts and feelings as they watched these young men dance and sing, they just didn't make a song about it, at least not publicly. Secondly, the entire concept BigHit wanted from BTS is a representation of the youth culture and the issues youth deal with as seen and heard through the lyrics and music of BTS, and of course everyone has or will experience sexual attraction. Yes, they refer to see through clothing and high heels etc, but I've seen hundreds of posts referring to JK's abs, Jimin's body rolls and shoulder "accidents" Tae's tongue...you get the idea, and while many comments aren't necessarily teens it's not a problem. There can only be an issue if the lyrics were implying that I'm only attracted to girls who wear heels and sheer clothing, not sneakers and sweats. Anyone who has experienced adolescence knows however that if they're sexually attracted to someone the person could easily walk around in a potato sack and an adolescent would still be entranced. A lot of people were offended by that line, "Girls are equations and us men just do them". Personally, I took it as "do them" meant they were puzzles to be solved, not a sexual act. RM was honestly shocked that people were offended by the lyrics and that they could be considered misogynistic. It was definitely a learning experience for him. He apologized and has since run his lyrics through a few professionals in women's studies before releasing a new song. They don't really release songs like this any more. *But to that a korean Army said translation in English were a bit off, which lead to misunderstandings and explained it saying : “I was kinda surprised it's translation was "do" because that part "do them" CAN actually sound offensive to some people, because the meaning of that word 'do' is not clear. However I can clearly say that it's not meant that way, and Korean version lyrics tell that. Words are more specific, and not controversial in Korean version lyrics, because it doesn't say 'do. That part in Korean is 여자들은 방정식 우리 남자들은 해 which says we men are 해 is a word for mathematics, and it means the 'answer/the final number'. So it means they solve. the complex minds of the girls. 해 DOES have the meaning of 'do' too, but its not appropriate to translate this part of the lyrics that way, because if u say it means "do them, it doesn't fit the sentence there. Since there's no Objectives for that Verb 'do' and that's... kinda awkward. plus. the context and meaning of the whole sentence is talking abt mathematics and Equations so what u said is true. It doesn't mean sexual way”* it's freaking mistranslation, if you don't belive me ask any korean, not only k-army but any Korean.. it was done to sabotage BTS's career..💀 BTS hv made few mistakes unknowingly early in their career and said things which can be considered offensive, as they were young but they hv re-educated themselves, apologized and never repeated the mistakes again..but I hv seen many k-popies and so called Multi Armys twisting many things because of that..take for example this song.. it's blown out of the proportion just to cause drama..and they were sadly successful in that..haters/antis tried every lil thing to bring BTS down & sabotage their career ngl..
All BTS members are college graduate and some are pursuing their masters degree as well. That is one thing I love about them is that they value education. Despite their busy schedules and being the biggest most successful boy band in the world. They still pursued a college degree. They are really a good role model for youngsters with a dream like them. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
I was just wondering today, when will jared&Jordan will upload their new BTS reaction, what are they going to react..nd here you are, We love them not only because of music and their looks, We love them because of their hardwork, Dedication, love, Passion for their works and Dreams. They started from Zero but their hardwork made them to reach those infinite numbers. I love them, they are Indeed inspiration. Thank you Jared&Jordan for Doing this reaction.. Love 💜🇮🇳
13:00 the song with the alleged misogynistic lyrics is ‘war of hormone’ and it’s a whole BOP. as a woman, i’ve never had a problem with it personally (some lyrics are kinda questionable, but i’ve always thought they were pretty fitting since the song was written from the pov of teenage boys in war with their hormones lol) also other, more popular boy groups were releasing far worse at the time and didn’t get half of the backlash bts got. bts got hate mostly because they were bts
Omg same. I think war of hormone was the BTS song that really made me fall down the rabbit hole. The video was hilarious to me. Everything about the song made me happy. It was just a fun song that I think people took way too seriously. And when I saw the hate comments against it I was so surprised coz I loved everything about it. But I'm still glad BTS took the criticism about it to heart and learned from it and that shows just how amazing and genuinely good they are. They didn't do that half ass irritating apology of "I'm sorry you feel that way but...." They actually put in the work, took in the critics' words, educated themselves and have not done it again. Not to shade other groups but a lot of them have learnt nothing from the very valid criticism towards them. That's why me and BTS are for life. I love men who actually listen and do their best to right their wrongs whether it's a big deal or not! Sorry for jumping in your comments and writing an essay lol. I just love BTS and WOH so much
Yesterday I recived a notification from the page of bts weverse saying that they (big hit) are resolving issues caused by antis. And its not the first time we are notificated. You see, big hit and a lot of companies have to take legal mesures to stop hate. Its not normal. I cant imagine myself wasting one second of my life hating on someone... this people may have a lot of problems in their lifes to waste their time hateing. (Sry for my grammar and vocabulary, english is my 3rt language)
You are spot on. Don’t ever apologize for your grammar! Thank you for your comments Lucia. Let us know what you think about our discussion of ANTIs in the video 😉🙏🏽
This is so sad. This makes me so mad. They are the nicest, most caring people, and it hurts me so much to know that they go through so much hate. Thank you so much for taking your time to learn more about them. Im sure you now understand why us, ARMYs, are so protective of them.
A- archaic N-negligent T- trifling I-inflammatory Just some of the words that I can print safely, without getting my mouth washed out, lol.Hope you all stay with the boys as strong ,steady support.
They have been through alot in their early stages of being a group and they still are Infact. It's sad to think about as an army but it also helped them grow into the amazing artists they are today💜
Amazing reaction my friends Jared & Jordan, like allways!!...I have seen your reactions to Dimash, the best male singer of the world (In my personal opinion)...Now I want to invite you to meet, who is considered one of the Best Female Singers of the World (The best in my personal opinion)...The passion and dedication when Dimash is performing a song can only be compared with the person who has influenced him to sing leaving everything on stage: His idol, the queen, the incomparable, the Goddess: Lara Fabian.....Lara is the best female singer and performer of the world...She is a lyric soprano with a amazing vocal range and incredible breath control...She speaks and composes in 5 languages and sings in more than 15 languages....That's why she is the inspiration for Dimash and several singers around the world...You can see covers of her songs on UA-cam made by singers of the stature of: Dimash, Diana Ankudinova, Polina Gagarina, Forestella, Sissel Kyrkjebo, Floor Jansen, Diana Navarro, Giulia Falcone, Morissette Amon, Gabriel Henrique, Rimar, Katrina Velarde, Cakra Khan and others...Please react to her songs, all masterpieces, in LIVE versions, because Lara is more impressive when she sings live, so you can see why she is the idol of Dimash...Try to do it in this order and almost all songs are from the same Lara’s concert “From Lara With Love” in Montreal 1999, one of her best works: 1) Je Suis Malade (Singing in French)...2) Caruso (Singing in Italian)...3) Je T'AIME (2002 Live version in Paris Singing in French)...4) Perdere L'Amore (1999 Live version Singing in Italian)...5) Adagio (1999 Live version singing in english)...6) Broken Vow (1999 Live version singing in English)...7) You are Not From Here (1999 Live version singing in English)...8) Quédate (1999 Live version singing in Spanish)....9) Ti Amo Cosi (2019 Live version Singing a trío with Dimash and Aida Garifullina)....I hope to see you first reaction soon and if you don't mind, I'd like you to mention me as the person who recommended reacting to Lara...Here you have the link of her amazing performance of the son>g “Je Suis Malade”....ua-cam.com/video/eHSyk4SGtuY/v-deo.html
What I'm amazed by is bangtan's constant patience..they are never petty or malicious towards anyone, and even after facing so much hate and racism(and they know everything that is going on,they are more aware than we can ever imagine)they are still positive and exude happy vibes only I don't think we can say the same about any other celeb or even people in real life, they have a bigger heart than i could ever comprehend
I’m so happy that’s guys are doing a reaction video to this because bts has been through a lot individuals and together as a group, this is just a taste of what was their hardship was about. When u have a chance can you do a reaction on the rise of bangtan it has 21 parts & it gives u more information about bts success thanks 🙏🏾
so, im rewatching some of your other bts videos, and this isnt anything new in the slightest, but i love the amount of time and effort you guys put into your videos and the in depth conversations you have. the research that goes into your reactions is something ive never seen anywhere else, and i just enjoy it a lot
I liked how Celeste said how ARMYs are so protective of BTS and sometimes overly so. For all I know, this is the same with other fandom for their idols. They will keep defending and being protective of their idols as we are to ours. BUT with what our boys go through, it is SO MUCH DIFFERENT from what the other groups have been through. It is when RM said in his verse in Butter, "Got ARMY right behind us when we say so", i know that they know we're always here for them as they are for us.
I barely comment and I honestly just like your videos as a subscriber but I wanted to comment as an ARMY from 2016. I remember when I joined the fandom, everyone was so mentally tired and sad. I was so shocked and some time after, I realized that just saying you were a "BTS fan" made the antis and other fandoms bully you. I even experienced this when I started discovering kpop. Asking a question about another group made many of their fans insult me and BTS because of my profile picture at the time (because I didn't know someone from a "more popular" group yet I was a "BTS fan" or as they called us "ratmy" and "begtan fan"). I remember I got a wake up call to how horrible it was with the "Break Wings Project" & remember there even was a time I was unsure to share with others online (and even in real life) that I was an ARMY due to just the hate. The ARMYs that came from 2013-2014 are real warriors. And even though we'll surely face more hatred and disrespect, it is nothing new. BTS is worth it. A- abnormal N- nefarious T- tetchy I- ignorants Not gonna lie, I wanted to add "idiots" to the letter I 😂😂 thank you for your thoughts guys, I'll be looking forward to more videos 💜
Your experience almost same as me..i'm korean malaysian, born in busan and follow them before debut day, thanks to my auntie...she follow them cz one of the busan members is my aunties junior.. thats the reason we start follow them..and about the hardship we face..i even can't count with my fingers 😔..but the harder one is, when those SICK minded ( haters ) throw snake in my house and almost make my grandma died from heart attack..they just too much that's why i cll them people with sick minded..i never do anything to them..but being bts Army like a sin at that time...its really soo hard not only for BTS but for us as their fans..and these are the reasons i never leave them💜even i'm not living at busan anymore..
I love that BTS and ARMY showed everyone what happens when you put in the work and keep moving forward. If the haters and trolls used 10% of the energy they use to hate on people, to instead, focus on themselves and their own goals, they might have their own success stories. You don’t succeed by bringing others down, but by lifting yourself and others up.
So glad you guys finally did this reaction. Thank you. The big 3 (SM, YG, JYP) always had the money, power & influence over the South Korean media. Big Hit was this tiny company that did things differently...music for healing, encourage BTS to write their own songs with meaning & work hard so that they will never be embarrassed for their content and they didn’t buy media or endorsements. What bothered me most is that BTS always had so much hate…from other Kpop Fans & South Koreans of EXO & Big Bang etc, xenophobia, jealous wannabes, blatant lies, death threats, negative media, ignorant westerners…. It’s amazing they succeeded regardless of the many challenges & did it with so much grace. They encourage me to be the best version of myself.
2 years later I'm watching this again..... and crying again. The BTS history is heartbreaking and at the same time inspiring and powerful. How amazing were these young men as individuals and as the brotherhood they formed, that served as an armor against the attacks they had to endure. As they were rising like the phoenix from the flames, they created 2 groups: the Antis, who are infected with envy, jealosy and hate, and ARMY , who will always outshine annd outnumber the Antis. Thank you for not just listening to their music, but reminding us again why we are in love with all that BTS stands for. Greetings from loyal California ARMY
I have been watching your reactions from the very first Black swan to the latest BTS hardships. Loved your genuine reaction to BTS. Being an introvert , usually I don't let the people cross the line in my personal life. I don't know when I let BTS come into my life. The moment they entered my life they became everything. I laughed with them. I cried with them. I got so much inspirations from them. They started to mean so much to me. They have been someone who I can relate to and I look up to.. Sometimes I feel like they are really too realatable. Sometimes they feel like they are too far.. they are out of reach. When I feel like they are out of reach it makes me to do my best in my life so that I will be able to relate them again. Can you understand the thing that some persons who I never met and possibly will not became everything to me.. ? Even I don't understand how .. but that's what happened. They are so adorable that I want to grab them and put them in my pocket.. ahhh.. I really do have some weird fantasy right ? I rarely comment on reaction vedios.. but after watching your BTS hardships vedio I couldn't stop myself. There was a clip of someone talking about makeup and about the differences in being an idol and artist.. I really wanted to ask them ' can you define the word artist ? I really wanted to ask them what does artist means to them. Their origin ? Their colour ? Their talent ? Probably the word ' talent ' doesn't fit here.. if they new the word talent really defines the word artist they wouldn't have a made such kind of statement in the first place. I suggest you to react on Spring day ' song and it's explanation vedio to understand the depth of their lyrics. I personally like that song a lot.. I appreciate your genuine reaction.. eagerly waiting for your next vedio. I will be there in your beautiful journey of becoming an army. Love you guys. 💜
Thanks so much for sharing Apoorva!! You are exactly right with everything you said. We are introverts as well, so shout out to you and all of our fellow introverts out there! We appreciate your support. Much more BTS reactions to come :) much love!
🙋🏻♀️ from Silver army 👵🏼 ....👏👏 your acronym for A-N-T-I is spot on, I particularly love the third line, (another acronym for I might be "ignorance) although all four lines are spot on. By the way I appreciate your analytical minds when you delve into all aspects of the videos you watch 👏 💜💜
28:08 Death threats on Twitter are always there and the company takes legal actions against them as much as possible but the one's Xceleste was saying i think were a little more serious it even went on the news and bts were asked about it in interviews. they even said the exact concert and part of the concert they were ganna do it and posted a picture of a gun in their hand that they're ganna do that while he was performing serendipity(his solo song) and the members were scared couse i remember they wouldn't let the fans or people they didn't know get near jimin at that time when they were at the airport for traveling abroad. they would put him in the middle with tons of security guards. Well idk why would any sick person want to do that and share every detail about it online and i can't imagine what jimin and RM have went through with thet stress. Even if they weren't really ganna do it it's still so terrifying and disgusting
These are just what they faced mentally imagine the physical pain they went through after performing and one of the biggest example is Suga shoulder injury. Which lead to his absence from so many concerts. Rm leg injury or when Jk got stiches on his legs. Oxygen tanks become major accessories because of intense performance. J-hope was called ugly and horse and he almost left the group He just came back because he trusted his brothers. Jin who is the oldest member mentioned how people sometimes just want to grab and touch his face and it's hurtful. But despite all this they still give their best. Now we need to make sure that when Rm says they needs a break we will take it as a positive thing. They are humans and they deserve it. Please react to The most beautiful life goes on by Rice Squad. It's very interesting and you will love it
I love y’all😂 the way y’all were discussing A.N.T.I.‘s so seriously. And Jordan I’m with you. I think imbecile and assh*ole we’re pretty alright words.
I read somewhere that Success makes you humble but in BTS case it's more to it- " Success and Hate you get makes you humble". They say two negatives can never make a positive but BTS got infinite negatives around them but they still managed to remain humble and positive spreading positivity to lives of millions around the world making this world a better place to live in💜 I became a more optimistic person after I started to live my life with BTS in it& I am always so grateful of BTS for making me try hard to succeed in my life never giving up always remaining humble. BTS inspired me in so many different aspects of my life but this one I think is the reason that always made me feel proud of being someone to respect, admire, love and support them no matter what. I'm so emotional and overwhelmed while I'm typing this, I've so much to say but I think this must be enough to express myself 🤧 And yes at last I wanna say Welcome back guys, I was really waiting for your BTS videos & I'm so excited for this one as well.... I Know you guys really put your best efforts in bringing us these BTS videos as they deserve, but I still wanted you to know that we'll really be grateful if you could check out MY YOU song by Jungkook which he released on 13th BTS's 9th anniversary, it really is so special for us, I couldn't help but sobbing inside feeling so loved by him because of that infinite love he has for us in his beautiful heart when I watched this and I really want you guys to feel that warmth of love that jungkook has put into this song.... I don't think that there'll be even a single ARMY who couldn't feel the love that JK conveyed through his vocals because he always outdoes himself doing this so please consider doing it💜💜 Sorry fo making such a long comment😅
I’m really love your reaction !!!!!! You found the detail , search the word , and do everything so clearly when it come to what you both not sure about and that just make me feel good to watch that. Cause you know some reactor are just ignore or just guessing the word they don’t know without go to google or translate it probably. And what you said about them really show that you’re a type of people who really open mind , also never judge, and not racist. ( I’m sorry my English is not better yet ) but thank you for all the reaction I’m your fan since you released the first reaction of bts !
guys i just want to tell you that some of my friends are not a bts fan like me but they know they gone through a lot cause i always talk about them so when they heard someone talk bad about them they will tell me that 'i tell him/her not to talk about others when you don't know what they are going through'and i just love my friends because they accept what i love and respect that because in my country India a lot of people talk sh*t about us kpop lovers
Also Billboard changed the rules on what is required to get a no. 1 on the hot 100 by only allowing 1 in 10 sales to be counted as army bought too much of the music and made radio play more significant .. but we buy the music because they don’t play BTS on the radio.. now they can control BTS numbers
The concert in LV I was at RM was outright and said we need to ignore these haters that they only want ARMY involvement for clout. They no longer care about the hate and want us to ignore as well. It was right after Joe Budden issue and was pretty clear. Namjoon is great at the clap back with class.
"Fans of another group" that particular fandom i will never forgive never ever and also the other fandoms that join hands with them Anyways karma did the work n our boys soared high! I love your channel hope to see more BTS reactions 💜
I quote from their song (MIC DROP) , "Haters Gon hate, Players Gon play, live a life man...Good luck"... I'm glad that through all this hardships, they are stronger. Anti are just insecure and pathetic people. Periodt! I'm very Proud to be A BTS Army 💜💜💜 Bangtan forever 💜
Every time I watch this video, I cry. These 7 boys have been through so much and are still going through all the hatred. What I love and respect about my men is that they never spoke back, never addressed haters, never gave them the attention they were asking for. They only went on making songs that portrayed how they felt. They only focus on people that love them (ARMY). All this hatred, loss and bullying has paid off. Thank you Jared and Jordan for another amazing reaction video. I admire your sincerity when it comes to learning about Bangtan or anyone else for that matter. ♥️
Jordan and Jared, it would be really cool if you guys reacted to The Most Beautiful Life Goes On: A Story Of Bts(2022 update!). It is a video that shows BTS' timeline and career. It also dives deeper into the members' background and it's so well made, I think you guys will enjoy it.
Thank you for embracing BTS and ARMY. Welcome to the family.💜💜 PLEASE check out V's song Stigma. Jared, you will absolutely LOVE this song. Also, you have got to listen to the rap line's cyphers; BTS Cyphers 1-4. You will NOT be disappointed. 😘
TIENEN RAZON, ARMY ES PODEROSA, ES FUERTE, ARMY TIENE AMOR POR BTS Y EL AMOR DE ARMY ES MAS GRANDE QUE TODOS LOS HATERS JUNTOS. ARMY IS FOREVER. GRACIAS SU REACCION, UN ABRAZO CORDIAL DESDE COLOMBIA.
I really like how you guys take your time to really understand what BTS went through. We really appreciate it. Most youtubers who react to bts just skip over things they don't know instead of just googling it. I can tell you guys really care. Thank you!! You just gained a subscriber.
I love their reactions because they not only react but also investigate I would love for them to react to THE RISE OF BANGTAN they will love it I am sure
After being an ardent fan of rise of bangtan series bts has become my inspiration and much more. 💜 I recommend it very much people must see that it changes perspectives and motivates with our own struggles I would say . Edit: I just read the comment in comment section , I will eagerly wait everyday for your reactions promise I will like, share, subscribe, support lol its my first time to type a comment like this🤭
When you got to the ANTI all I could think of was how proud the members would be because they create acrostic poems constantly. Almost as much as they play rock paper scissors.
There are many music agencies in S.Korea, but only 3 major ones. And their artists were the only ones winning awards.(that’s not suspicious at all) and had heavy momentary influence on the media. BTS is the FIRST group from a small agency to break this and it pissed a lot of people off. Those companies, and those fans. There is also a very heavy suspicion that the companies planted malcontents in the fandoms to help stir up hate. We don’t see that in western media, but it’s smaller than the West, over there and Very cut throat. Vindictive and petty as well.
Chris Martin: (ColdPlay X BTS inside "My Universe" documentary-BTS) "I think it's very special to me that the most popular artist in the world speak Korean and is like a group of brothers not from the West and it just feels very hopeful to me, in terms of thinking of the world as one family. Then of course you see who they are as people and their songs It's really a message of togetherness and finding being yourself."
It means a lot when Chris (who also in a band and known to make an epic concert) recognised them and remain as their close friend till today. He always talk good about them and Suga & RM mentioned they are glad that they know Chris and Coldplay.
Sorry but even though I know what their struggles are and how they overcame them, it's still hurts me whenever I am reminded of those. But I wanted to thank you for being so open-minded and diving deep into BTS and ARMY. Hopefully, people will realize how protective we are of the boys because of how they were treated before (and somehow until now). Your genuine reactions and understanding and not overacting really is amazing. Thank you and I hope more success and luck comes in your way.
First impressions from what we've seen from anti's: A - Antagonist N - Naive T - Threatened I - Ignorant ...you guys are great! keep the reactions coming, much 💜
I want to point out something I just learned from a Mexican creator (Christian Burgos) who lives and works on Korea tv and a Korean creator who lives in Mexico and who has become well-known UA-camr (Chingu-amiga, Sujin). They were talking about their experience on set and the dressing room, while Su said that every dressing room in Mexico is the same one, just mirror images from one to the other, Christian on the other hand had to explain to us how in Korea every host/presenter/talent is categorized different. Like examp: a presenter with let's say 15/20 years of experience is an A and will be given a dressing room with a private bathroom a lounge/ bed space for him/her to get ready. As opposed to him when he started and was put in a room with 8 more guys, let's say an F. A being the best and most respectful, and F being the bear minimum. Now understanding a little more about Korea tv idiosyncrasies I understand with how much disrespect/ disregard BTS was treated THEY WERE NOT EVEN GIVING A FRIKIN MULTIPERSON DRESSING ROOM!!! It hurts even more!
I love how you discuss the subject. And your concept is awesome. Black and white t-shirts are 👍 Everything seems so neat and your voice tones are easy to listen to
Now you understand why we're so overprotective and aware of anyone trying to disrespect them..... We're an ARMY💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 Love from your friend in South Africa 🇿🇦
Always love your reactions and introspections. But I wanted to add a little info, you guys asked what kind of death threats BTS members recieved. For RM it was a picture online of a gun and a threat to kill him with many agreeing comments. For Jimin it was also an online post with pictures of a gun and blood insinuating they wanted to shoot him on stage. Since the concert was being held in America the threat was taken very seriously since access to guns is widely available here. (Gun ownership is illegal in south Korea. Even their cops don't have guns. Only detectives get a revolver that they rarely have to use and practically never fire) So when in America and recieving American threats, I can't imagine the fear BTS experience every time they come here. It's awful anyone would say these things when all BTS has ever done is promote and give love. Now to add to your later understandings about how BTS was not receiving the same type of media coverage as other groups in Korea. In South Korea there were 3 major companies that manage Kpop groups, soloists, rappers, actors, and models. The 3 companies were SM Entertainment, JYP Entertainment, and YG entertainment. Groups from these companies are often given the most attention from media because the companies have a lot of political and monetary sway. But now, BigHit now known as HYBE is becoming the biggest company of them all because of the success of BTS. Again, I want to thank both of you for taking the time to really learn about the culture of Kpop and for giving BTS a chance to show you how powerful they are. 💜
@20:02 the group of antis is huge. The people overlap if that makes sense. They're not just people who hate bts, they're usually fans of other groups who see bts as competition. And as you know, there are a lot of groups. Lately, in addition to fans, there had been hoards of journalists who've made it their mission to break down bts. They would also be considered antis.
We love your reactions ❤ If you want to listen to the new songs of "Proof" I recommend you to watch 'Proof Live'. While I was watching the live I only thought about one word: BEAUTY. This live is that. We really can felt the love from them, it was like: "goodbye, see you soon" but not in a sad way, because, the best is yet to come! Borahae ✨
Military service. As XCeleste said, BTS has always maintained that they will enlist when called upon. The revision that she spoke of, earning an order of cultural merit, angered the agencies who wanted deferment for their artists bc ONLY BTS has earned an award - The Hwagwan Order of Cultural Merit. They call the new law “The BTS Law.” Just another reason for people to be angry. Even though BTS never asked for it. 😂
It hurts my heart that this exists and they had/have to go through this. I will forever fight for what they stand for, they have taught me so much about myself. Thank you for covering this. 💜
Everyday is a fight, everyday is terrifying knowing that no matter what bts show the public, there is always something bad to point out and worst is that people focus on that side rather than bts' success, bts' achievements, bts passing stereotypes. Few weeks ago when that bts festa video was released and translations in the subs messed up with a word 'hiatus'. Everybody was misled. But when in this hardship video said that media always want to make fuss about everything, it's true. Media spread this misinformation and it quickly went viral in South Korea, what's worst is that they themselves are koreans, so they would know what bts truly said in that video and they knew the translation were different from what they said. RM posted on Weverse and was completely lowkey outrage. He says something about the media always twist the words and make them look bad. "there were a lot of keyword were provoking and fragmented or incomplete" he said also that, that moment was the most and only time he recieved a lot of phone calls and messages, SINCE DEBUT. So, what about the other achievements they recieved? the times when they broke the barriers? the time when they made a name and paved the way for Korea and kpop? BTS has achieve more than what Korea has expected of them but continously downing bts despite that bts is a big part of korea's gp. When the media spread the misinformation, everything loss budget and money. "It turns out that Korea's National Pension Service lost over 140 billion won thanks to K-media's misleading reporting about BTS. That pretty much impacts the entire country. If Korea's economy is so dependent on BTS being active they should have been exempted ages ago." SM, JYP and YG lost a combined 600 Billion Won over 7 days because BTS temporarily suspended group activities." qoutes from army. Korea Singers Association's chairman requested @BTS_twt to reconsider its indefinite break through an official statement, concerning about the decline of the group's Hallyu power: "Since it's not easy to expect next BTS or Beatles, I'm afraid that the Hallyu flow would be cut." a tweet from kpop herald. This were just a few responses from that video. The audacity for them to beg bts to keep pumping music, keep them working when they have been working non stop for 9 years, when the world was against bts, when they been there for 9 years, non of this reporters, organizations, media was there. They didn't defend nor stood up for bts at least once and we witness it all cause we were the one fighting for bts. Then when they decided to take a rest, to regain their purpose, to breathe, they beg as if its a matter of life and death for them? I disagree. This hardships are just a few of what is really happening everyday. The amount of hate being thrown bts is just overwhelming. No matter what words are twisted, its completely unfair. Comoletely upsetting. Knowing bts, being an army. Everyday, is a struggle but i am willing to fight it everyday too for bts. As a army, i'll never stop defending whats right ever since the beginning. I really admire bts because no matter how much hate they recieve, the amount of hate against each member or as a group is incredibly high, but they always remain humble and smile at armys. Respectful and avoiding it as much as possible. So, fact, that is the reason why armys are protective of bts so much. Sensitive when a new "fan" or new "brand" or new "person" new "opportunities" new "deals" new "people" comes in, we accept them, we respect them but armys always get bretrayed. In the end, they just use bts for clout, to mislead them, to use them and it sucks. So, armys are protective over bts because of these things that are completely absurd. And we are not a perfect fandom, as well as bts is a not a perfecr band because we are not perfect as a person, but imagine this world we live in where we choose acceptance, the right way, to understand, respect. You dont have to like bts, you just have to respect them. They just be living their lives like everybody else, work like everybody else, passionate like everybody else, yet they recieved more hate than everybody else. But at the end, open-minded people knows what bts' worth is. As a person, as a band, as a korean citizen, as a human, they know what bts has to offer and the revolution they made. There will be no next bts, there will be no next army. I'm grateful to be part of this battle cause they helped me get through everyday, feel loved and valued. Good luck to this people, I guess. Anyway, jhope's solo album is coming on july 15. His title track will be released this friday. Hope you check it out by then if you want. This is a start of chapter 2 for bts. Letting each member shine their own color and jhope is the first. thank you for this video. Thank you for understanding bts, truly. I hope there are more people like you. More love to your channel!
Jhope was so disheartened that he had almost left the group 🥲 In the initial days RM used to translate the hate comments to positive comments so that other members don't get disheartened 🥺
The hardships in the beginning of the video are kind of the top of the iceberg, face value you would just think “oh it’s bad, but it could be worse, just some plagiarism accusations etc.” But it got really really bad, for example the sajaegi accusations for I need U got so bad that they had to go to court for it. The whole thing surrounding the White Paper Project, Japan etc. was so bad that a lot of people on Twitter had trauma from it, it’s a time ARMYs on Twitter don’t want to talk about nor recall. I suggest digging deeper into the issues + accusations mentioned in the video in your own time. Because at face value it doesn’t look THAT bad compared to the rest, but once you really dig and see everything that was said and done during those periods you would understand how bad it in fact really was Also to add to this the hardships in the beginning can be categorized to struggles because of the differences in power. The KPOP industry (or in Korea called IDOL music) is basically very Competitive. You have the three biggest entertainment companies in KPOP or otherwise known as the BIG 3 (JYP entertainment, SM entertainment and YG entertainment) the groups from these big 3 always have an advantage, since the big companies have the money and the connections with broadcasting companies, they also have fans from previous groups that debuted under these companies who usually also become interested in the groups from the same company. Because of this there’s a hierarchy, since BTS came from an unknown company at that time, it was a struggle. Since the big three groups + fans are higher up than the lower groups + companies. Which is why a lot of the hardships in this video were the result of fans of groups that debuted under the BIG THREE. The struggles in the beginning were due to the hierarchy. However the struggles and hardships later on were rooted in xenophobia, racism, ignorance. Just a thing to note.
The hate comments did affect j hope self esteem, even in fan signs he never received letters or gifts. There tons of videos in where you can see that J hope was discriminated even by the “army’s” back then. Yoongi’s depression is something that touches me. When BTS where on a tour in Tokyo, Suga couldn’t get on stage. He suffered from a anxiety attack and could get out of the bathroom. They had to canceled the concert that era was very dark for Yoongi but he overcame every obstacle and write “the last” to explain army about his mental condition. I recommend you guys to listen and analyze that song.
Arrogant Needy Tactless Inclosed mindset (I hope that makes sense and hopefully nobody did that one yet 😁) I also want to tell you that you guys are SO intelligent ! Your analysis of the things said in the video and your perspective on things is so mind-blowing and I can't do anything but support and cheer for you ! It's great to see that there are still some people in the world that are not coming to nonsense understanding and have respect for humans 🤗 WE PURPLE U 💜 PC: you should totally react to the documentary series on UA-cam called "The Rise Of Bangtan", it is so well done with very good details and it is explained very good as well 😘

Btw: Jungkook was underage at that time and bought the burgers with his own money. I can't imagine, what his parents must have thought while seeing this.
Those clips are hard to watch, he’s so young and sweet, there’s no reason they should have treated him like that 😔
I have to skip through that part... his sweet little face just makes me sad and angry and completely baffled how anyone could have treated him that way.
I still can't watch that, I was furious when they did the show with him. JK and BTS are forgiving tupe, ARMY not so much.
I love how ARMY collectively bought all advert spaces on that show for BTS adverts. Lmao. Power of protective and unforgiving ARMY.
I felt so heartbreaking watching the clip
that broke my heart, that was so mean.

Wow thank you for your honesty Tyson!
Every. Single. Time. 💯
Beautifully stated Rexxx! 💜🙏🏽
Totally!!! So much more shit happening. I can write a book on it.
Happy for his body

Beautify said, they survive despite all the adversity. The fact that they grow organically and become stronger each year is a proof.
Also, I assume better payed.)
[I didn't know about Larry for example, and when I researched it, I was terrified... And the sexual advances from fans/even older women and they were minors, this is apparently a thing... Obviously, the artist can take advantage of fans too, but that's not the topic here]
And 2nd, fandoms of that type are full of solo stans.

A- Antagonistic
N-Nauseating
T-Tasteless

These are just some of the words I think when I hear an ANTI. RM said to not pay attention to the NEGATIVES but only to the POSITIVES.

The Zach Sang show one was particularly painful because BTS had been on Zach's show a few times already and he was always nice to them.

Borahae 💜

I don’t even have a degree!!! 😂
They even gave chance to those big 3 company's groups to be known by many poeple they paved the way for all of them
Thank you for this wonderful comment Rich!! You’re exactly right 🙏🏽
💯
Thanks so much JB! This makes much more sense. And yes, we are also looking forward to their solo activities! :)
Hearing this information always tears my heart out. They say the best revenge is living well. No one has worked harder or survived so much hatred and s**t. Their strength in the face of these constant adversities gives me strength to carry on through my troubles. BTS is the best. Always will be.
Spot on Cindy!!
I love them so much 💜
Thanks so much Lily!! Can’t wait for you to watch our reaction 😊💜

@@JaredandJordan Yess can't wait for all your reactions! I love your deep dive into their music and I am excited to be a witness to your journey!💜

Keep it 💯 x
You have no idea how this makes us feel. We are flattered and so appreciative for you and all armies who support our journey 🙏🏽 stay tuned for some exciting news next week! We cannot wait to share it with you 😊
BTS found me when I was at my lowest.
Ambush, Negative, Tactless, Immature.
I love you 💜💜
*About song "War of hormones" controversy:*
so..let me clear the misunderstanding k-popies hv and few Armys hv about this song which was blown out of proportion by h@ters & Antis to create drama that time, which worked cuz k-popies & media latched on it...
*This is going to long a$$ comment*
Let's be real, War of Hormones wasn't misogynistic.
It doesn't mean sexual way”* it's freaking mistranslation, if you don't belive me ask any korean, not only k-army but any Korean.. it was done to sabotage BTS's career..💀
BTS hv made few mistakes unknowingly early in their career and said things which can be considered offensive, as they were young but they hv re-educated themselves, apologized and never repeated the mistakes again..but I hv seen many k-popies and so called Multi Armys twisting many things because of that..take for example this song.. it's blown out of the proportion just to cause drama..and they were sadly successful in that..haters/antis tried every lil thing to bring BTS down & sabotage their career ngl..
All BTS members are college graduate and some are pursuing their masters degree as well. That is one thing I love about them is that they value education. Despite their busy schedules and being the biggest most successful boy band in the world. They still pursued a college degree. They are really a good role model for youngsters with a dream like them. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
It’s amazing… definitely great role models!

13:00 the song with the alleged misogynistic lyrics is ‘war of hormone’ and it’s a whole BOP. as a woman, i’ve never had a problem with it personally (some lyrics are kinda questionable, but i’ve always thought they were pretty fitting since the song was written from the pov of teenage boys in war with their hormones lol)
also other, more popular boy groups were releasing far worse at the time and didn’t get half of the backlash bts got. bts got hate mostly because they were bts

Thanks so much for your insight! We truly appreciate it 🙏🏽 Borahae 💜💜
It's their hardships that made them even stronger, made them BULLETPROOF
🙋🏻♀️ from Silver army 👵🏼 ....👏👏 your acronym for A-N-T-I is spot on, I particularly love the third line, (another acronym for I might be "ignorance) although all four lines are spot on. By the way I appreciate your analytical minds when you delve into all aspects of the videos you watch 👏 💜💜
Thank you Christine! 💜💜 we appreciate your continued support 🙏🏽
You're damn right! Army will always protect the boys and each other. 💜
Yeah 💜💜💜💜💪💪💪

Death threats on Twitter are always there and the company takes legal actions against them as much as possible but the one's Xceleste was saying i think were a little more serious it even went on the news and bts were asked about it in interviews. they even said the exact concert and part of the concert they were ganna do it and posted a picture of a gun in their hand that they're ganna do that while he was performing serendipity(his solo song) and the members were scared couse i remember they wouldn't let the fans or people they didn't know get near jimin at that time when they were at the airport for traveling abroad. they would put him in the middle with tons of security guards.
😂😂 much love! appreciate you for watching and supporting 🙏🏽
I'm so emotional and overwhelmed while I'm typing this, I've so much to say but I think this must be enough to express myself 🤧
And yes at last I wanna say Welcome back guys, I was really waiting for your BTS videos & I'm so excited for this one as well....
I don't think that there'll be even a single ARMY who couldn't feel the love that JK conveyed through his vocals because he always outdoes himself doing this
so please consider doing it💜💜
Sorry fo making such a long comment😅
Oh wow… thanks for this useful if information Gail! This is interesting.
The concert in LV I was at RM was outright and said we need to ignore these haters that they only want ARMY involvement for clout. They no longer care about the hate and want us to ignore as well. It was right after Joe Budden issue and was pretty clear. Namjoon is great at the clap back with class.
"Fans of another group" that particular fandom i will never forgive never ever and also the other fandoms that join hands with them
Anyways karma did the work n our boys soared high!
I love your channel hope to see more BTS reactions 💜
You heard the word? KARMA IS SN ARMY💜💜💜💜💜
Pls react to their 'Proof' live. You'd be blown away. They performed 'Born singer' in this live performance 💜
Not to mention Anderson Paak of Silk Sonic on Yet To Come 🔥
I quote from their song (MIC DROP) , "Haters Gon hate, Players Gon play, live a life man...Good luck"...
It also dives deeper into the members' background and it's so well made, I think you guys will enjoy it.
this pls. 💜
😘
Thanks so much Ryn!! We cannot wait to check out Stigma and the Cyphers!Such a long journey ahead of us 😊
TIENEN RAZON, ARMY ES PODEROSA, ES FUERTE, ARMY TIENE AMOR POR BTS Y EL AMOR DE ARMY ES MAS GRANDE QUE TODOS LOS HATERS JUNTOS. ARMY IS FOREVER.
GRACIAS SU REACCION, UN ABRAZO CORDIAL DESDE COLOMBIA.
I'm truly appreciative of your reactions, they make my week. Thank you so much Jared and Jordan.💜💜
Your comment has made our week 😊🙏🏽💜
The way that they nevercrossourminds.. anyways BTS4LIFE 💜💜
I really like how you guys take your time to really understand what BTS went through. We really appreciate it. Most youtubers who react to bts just skip over things they don't know instead of just googling it. I can tell you guys really care. Thank you!! You just gained a subscriber.
Thank you so much for your love and kindness 💜🙏🏽
I love their reactions because they not only react but also investigate I would love for them to react to THE RISE OF BANGTAN they will love it I am sure
Thanks Ale!! Stay tuned for our announcement next week. Hint: it has something to do with Rise of Bangtan 😉🙏🏽
This makes me sad that how much they have gone through such things to be where they are now im just so proud of them
There are many music agencies in S.Korea, but only 3 major ones.
@@izzatys7037 Chris always acknowledges their hard work and professionalism.
First impressions from what we've seen from anti's:
A - Antagonist
N - Naive
T - Threatened
I - Ignorant
...you guys are great! keep the reactions coming, much 💜
Spot on Chad! Thank you sir 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Black and white t-shirts are 👍 Everything seems so neat and your voice tones are easy to listen to
Much appreciated Lily!! Thank you 😊💜
BTS are still humble, polite, caring human beings.
Now you understand why we're so overprotective and aware of anyone trying to disrespect them..... We're an ARMY💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 Love from your friend in South Africa 🇿🇦
Yes Norma!! We now understand. Sending our love right back to you from New York!! 💜💜
Thank you so much for this information Kristen. It is all very helpful for us. We appreciate you! :)
Very interesting Susan! Thanks for the additional info!!
Jhope was so disheartened that he had almost left the group 🥲
In the initial days RM used to translate the hate comments to positive comments so that other members don't get disheartened 🥺
May I get new links so I can watch these videos it a healing process for me
The hardships in the beginning of the video are kind of the top of the iceberg, face value you would just think “oh it’s bad, but it could be worse, just some plagiarism accusations etc.” But it got really really bad, for example the sajaegi accusations for I need U got so bad that they had to go to court for it. Because at face value it doesn’t look THAT bad compared to the rest, but once you really dig and see everything that was said and done during those periods you would understand how bad it in fact really was
Also to add to this the hardships in the beginning can be categorized to struggles because of the differences in power.
Arrogant Needy Tactless Inclosed mindset (I hope that makes sense and hopefully nobody did that one yet 😁)
I also want to tell you that you guys are SO intelligent ! Your analysis of the things said in the video and your perspective on things is so mind-blowing and I can't do anything but support and cheer for you !
It's great to see that there are still some people in the world that are not coming to nonsense understanding and have respect for humans 🤗 WE PURPLE U 💜
PC: you should totally react to the documentary series on UA-cam called "The Rise Of Bangtan", it is so well done with very good details and it is explained very good as well 😘
I always get emotional whenever Im watching stories about their pasts. Actually those groups trying to drag them down are still attacking them now and then, but unlucky them that ARMYs becoming more and more day by day and stronger everyday 💜
