Aren’t they so cute, Jim! With all the technology we have these days, you’d think they’d be able to grow our fruit with Nutella already in it 🤣🤣 I remember my Nonna carefully using her alchermes, because in those days especially, it was so hard to find, and very expensive! It’s more widely available now 😻😻
This absolutely is the most beautiful cookie ever ever seen 🥰how clever! I’m presently making peach jam and love the idea of the peach schnapps !thank you so much for sharing…
Thank you so much for the lovely comment! I really appreciate it!! 💖 I hope you'll make them some time soon! They'd be lovely with homemade peach jam as a filling!! 🍑 Let me know how you get on and happy baking!! 😻
They are my favourite, too! I remember them being so much harder to make when I was little, but when I was going through Nonna’s recipe, it’s a lot easier than I thought! Thank goodness! It means we can eat them more often 😻😻😻
Thanks, Carol!! I really hope you try them. This is a recipe I’ve been wanting to share for a while, but we wanted to really make it special. Seemed a good way to christen my new mixer, too! The kitties say thanks for always being here, and I do too! ❤️❤️
These are a work of art Dani!! I never heard of alchermes! So interesting! I’m thinking maybe dipping them in a combo of peach schnapps and peach nectar ❤
Thanks, Karen! Peach nectar would be a lovely consistency for dipping these! The slight thickness would really get the sugar to cling. That was another childhood favourite of mine that my Nonna would buy just for me - in tiny glass bottles! You need to try them, they are just so pretty and delicious!! 😻😻😻
Peachy! 🍑 I've seen these in a patisserie, but never took that much notice of them. Now I know what they are 👍🤤😀 Btw, is this the new (replacement) mixer? Wonderful recipe. Cheers Daniella 😻😸🍑
Thanks, John! I’ve only seen them in one or two patisseries! I think it should be a more common thing! I remember the process being harder as a child, but everything seems grander then. They are definitely easier than I remember, and a small batch like this took no time at all. Maybe it seemed harder because when we made them for weddings, we often had to make hundreds!!! 😹😹 And yes, that’s the lovely new mixer! I’m over the moon with it! Cheers, John!!
@@BlackCatKitchen Goodo. At least you won't have to buy attachments. Existing from the previous will do the jobs. I don't have a stand mixer, just the regular beater, muscle and determination. But a dough hook would definitely come in handy. It's a matter of storage real estate V's warrant of use!
lol The funny part is, my Nonna had a couple of different recipes for this in her handwritten cookbook, and one of them was spelled “fish”! 😹 I had to do a double take on that one, for sure! 😹
@@BlackCatKitchen Thus is the food world, sorella mia! hahaha I once had and ESL friend want my hummus recipe, and he sent me an email titiled: "Give me the recipe for homos."
Curious, can you not put a bowl on the scale, and then turn it on to have zero measurement, and then put the dough ball in the bowl? I really like this recipe. But,...since I am getting old and eat too much pizza, I will probably never get the great opportunity to do so. Great VIDEO as always!
You can use the bowl method, or a plate would work, too, but I’m a bit clumsy, so less moving parts is better for me 🤣🤣🤣 ps. Never anything wrong with pizza! 🍕

Almost to cute to eat!
That’s what Mr. Editor said… before he ate a handful 😹 they’re practically fruit, so that makes them healthy, right?
When you said it, I was like, "Sweet fish??"
I'm sooooooo stupid....lol
