EASIEST Panettone Recipe | You Won't BELIEVE How EASY It Was!
The *secret* to making the quickest and easiest panettone ever is to use an Italian Biga in place of a sourdough starter. So let me show you how to make one! I also share all my other tips for making the easiest and quickest panettone! I'm making a chocolate panettone today, as I don't like raisins, but I also offer tips on what to do with your raisins, if you prefer a fruit-filled panettone!

For the Biga:
1/4 cup (60ml) whole milk, warm
1 packet (0.25 oz, 7 grams) active dry yeast
1 tsp. (7 grams) honey
1/2 cup (60 grams) bread flour
For the panettone:
1/3 cup (80ml) water
3 1/4 cups (400 grams) bread flour
4 eggs
1/2 cup (100 grams) sugar
2 egg yolks
3/4 cup (170 grams) butter, soft and cubed
1 tsp. (4 grams) vanilla extract or paste
1 tsp. (4 grams) salt
1 cup (160 grams) dark chocolate chips
1 tbsp. (15 ml) olive oil, for the bowl and work surface
This recipe makes a single 1 kilo panettone.

I’ve always been worried by making panettone. I thought it was so difficult to make, but you made it look so easy. Thx Dani, I will try making this when I have time!! !!!
Nope. This doesn't work with honey that is very crystalized. I whipped mine for a long time and was left with creamed honey that has large, gritty crystals. I think you would need to heat the honey first to melt the crystals, then whip it.
Try warming the mixture now and then re-whip it. That should remove the crystals from the very crystallised honey! 💖😻

Your way is definitely easier than mine. haha I find that when I have used vanilla extract in mine, the thing has fallen apart when I tip it upside down.

When pay day comes I'm gonna go out and buy the ingredients and a nice bottle of wine to pair it with. I love your videos! We have a lot of chefs on my father's side of the family. Is there a way to print your recipe?
Unfortunately, not yet. I used to have a website, but we closed it down when hosting fees became too expensive! I do hope to relaunch the website soon, which will allow for printable recipes. In the meantime, you could print screen the ingredients list - or save the link to the video to your computer somewhere. I hope that helps! Hopefully in time, printing recipes will be an option! Hi, thank you for sharing this recipe and tips. Please could you tell me how much butter to use to bind the biscuits if I dont want to use melted chocolate as well? I have made banoffee pie before but it involved boiling the tin of condensed milk forever and had a pastry case rather than biscuit base so this seems to be both a more efficient and tastier recipe. I’d recommend 100g (1/4C plus 3tbsp) to get the perfect crust without chocolate! Hope it comes out great for you! Happy baking and let me know how it turns out 😻😻
