_Finally_ an FETuber does something with the Link Arena! I actually love it a lot and have low-key been hoping someone would make a video like this for years. Thank you Mekkah and everyone else who participated in this! Additional thanks for the instructions on how to set this up (in the description, to anyone who's wondering). Might come in handy if I can find some friends to play with. For any future matches, I think it'd be really cool to have characters be at their 20/10 or 20/20 averages for more stat variety. Also, RIP best boy Canas, he was totally the MVP.

I think if Mekkah Rienfleche Vaida he will get to 1HP by Silver Lance Oswin because it was 15 damage from killer axe oswin with no weapon triangle so 3 more damage with a bow equipped will get to 18 damage vs Dorcas 19 HP
Sadly the GBA can only have 60 playable units. It would be possible since only 20 Units need to be in one Game. But also keep in mind that the weapons have different stats in every game and that classes are slightly different too.

This is a really cool and funny experiment. I think that few people were able to enjoy the gba fe arena link. A tier list with all 20/20 stats would be interesting. Also a chill stream of this would be great.
The tier list is pretty easy, it's just sorted by action speed. Berserkers are top tier since they're always at 27-28 AS. Anything with 24 or less AS is bottom tier because they get doubled by Berserkers. Canas and Athos are also higher tier because Luna makes them nukes - Canas with any offensive support partner (Nino or Vaida) is an instant 2shot on anyone, Athos 2shots anyone if he isn't ORKOd.

This was a pretty cool video. On Serenes Forest, there used to be a sort of forum based Link Arena substitute for Path of Radiance that was really interesting, and this reminded me a bit of that.
I was never able to do the link arena against other people growing up since I was the only person I knew with FE7. Glad I could live vicariously through this video. I sure missed out on a lot of, "Don't attack me, attack *him!*" it looks like.
I had a really sick team that I took off from either GameFAQs or some other site, though I switched some stuff a little bit. Note that supports stat increases work in Arena regardless on what position they're in. As long as they're in the party and they have support with each other. Also note that I used the MKDD cd to get the promotional items. I didn't max all the stats but all of the stat boosters found in a playthrough were used. 2 Body Rings were used on Dart (17 CON) in order for him to use the Brave Axe, and another was used on Dorcas (18 CON) for the Devil Axe. Longbows were used on Warriors to combat Sages as they won't get counter attacked by them. I believe you can only get one Swordslayer, Brave Axe, Tomahawk, Devil Axe, and any legendary weapons in one playthrough. Hector was given S in Swords for no speed penalty and for weapon triangle and have Armads in slot 1 for that +5 DEF. Geitz S rank Bows because of his low CON. Try this team out and let me know if you get great results. Very fun! I'd prefer seeing units with 20/20 average stats though, rather than max everything. They kinda lose their mechanical identities, and are just generic class caps otherwise. You could have some really fun Draft formats too!!
@@noukan42 assuming units have equivalent stats/decent matchups it basically just becomes whoever can force the other into a bad engagement. Strats to use against live people are way different than against AI when terrain is in the picture.
@@dadbodenvy4247 wich is kinda how strategy works in real life. That said, imo hiding skills would increase the strategic possibilities a lot. In competitive pokemons, carrying an unusual coverage move can turn around a match-up, and so would happen in fe. But such a thing would not be possible if the skills are visible.
I would love to see everyone do a playthrough with the goal of building a link team in mind. Then battle with the built teams after so it's not just all maxed stats
I can't believe after all the shenanigans with Silencer and Bezerkers being threats that it came down to one armor, one cav, one infantry, & one flier! And the flier actually won!
I'd love to see this again it was a lot of fun to watch btw mekkah probably could have won if he'd reinfleche'd viada then retaliate after oswin got him down to 1hp but I could be wrong

If so, couldn't you have killed Vaida with the rienfleche and Oswin couldn't have killed because Silver Lance would deal like, 17 damage?

mekkah's math at the end of the battle was slightly off, he was accidentally adding weapon triangle advantage to the silver lance. Lances> Bows apparently
Even with weapon triangle I don't know how he calculated that he died though, there was no way he could have died. Silver lance did 3 more than killer axe, which mekkah said and then didn't do the math that 14+3=17 and he had 19 hp

I'm planning to play FE SS just to play with that "endgame" with everyone at second tier class and play with many formations at link arena, for fun... any recomendations about "balancing"? i mean, what are the worst thing i should not do? 8 years ago i tried once (i lost the save file saddly) i maxed all lucks... and Colm was terrible assassin, as he couldnt critical. Max cons? this is break some characters as Lute, She access Tome with +5spd, every swordmaster and sniper is double by her, except berserkers. Max resistences? maybe, but then, magic swords became useless, i would not touch resistence, just let the natural growth let it be, and its a good balance for sword users against Bulkier units that are glass canon in terms of resistences... I would not max general res + spd, thats stupid. Generals deserve to get doubles, not the opposite (Amelia) Its fair to max Colm Skill? Its fair to... (giggles), give Molder + 10 magic? Its fair to Bishops being users or dark magic? or this is too heretical? Its fair to increase body to druids in order to balance the weight of their tomes? Knoll is a case thats hopeless, lowest luck and only have one kind of tome to access, while every other magical unit have potential access to at least 2. I would not give him luck, as Luck reflects of unique characteristic from a unit. Hoplon guard would be fair, intead of increasing his luck? He will not increase accuracy/avoidance, just negating criticals, its fair? No Nosferatu/dark sword i guess? Who to max skill, Str, magic, spd?
