The Grand Prince Of Kiev that Ivar goes to is Oleg Of Novgorod. He’s even more ruthless than Ivar, and even Ivar is shocked by his cruelty.
The Rus’ and Oleg will be Christian which makes for such great development for Ivar. He’s surrounded by a religion he hates, so we’ll see him vulnerable and change. That’s why Bjorn says “our country is in great danger” and “We are not fighting for ourselves but for our Gods”. It’s going to be the Rus’ vs Scandinavia, Christians vs Pagans and for once, Christians invading the Northmen lol.
That will be interesting. Ivar is probably the Best Character in the Show

Welcome back dude it's that time of year again. Despite how much I really didnt like last season here I am excited for the new season and hoping that the story ends right. One of my worries is the way they are gonna kill off lagertha. It has to be done right they've put this character through so much. I think at this point it's likely to be fitserk (spelling 🙈) and that perhaps the fire thing is bjorns way of punishing him. But I'm kinda hoping something will come out of left field. The dude that was ivars body guard reminded me of Odin so I initially thought that's who was gonna kill her.

I can't believe this is the final season. Based on this trailer alone they seemed to have spent a ton of money and a new and fresh storyline is what Vikings needed desperately.
I didnt care for Floki's story all that much. Hopefully it's rejuvenated as well.

That isn’t Ganbaatar standing next to Bjorn. That’s Erik The Red who will save Bjorn’s life after he nearly is killed after the election.
Ganbaatar is on the ship with Oleg, and he will have a commanding position in the Rus’ world. He has no reason to join Bjorn.

That could be a cool call back to have Ubbe find Floki again. I wish those two character got more time to develop some kind of connection.

The new Rus guy, named Oleg, doesn't have a brother in Scandinavia, the guy Ivar talked to in the last trailer about getting revenge in our brothers was 100% Hvitserk. The person Ivar talked to had heavy sideburns and Hvitserk's sideburns are one of a kind, and Oleg don't have any.
How can you forget about my man White Hair? That’s Ivar’s bodyguard who’s a beast in battle. Letting him go is one of Bjorn’s first mistakes.

Of course he should’ve. But Bjorn is trying to rule differently and he will make decisions that will impact his rule and reputation. Letting White Hair go is one of them.
I would say the "brothers refers to Ragnar final kid. It could be the prophecy that" all of them will kings except one " which is magnus. It could be a character we would not have meet because he might be Magnus and "magnus" that was killed in "Magnus". He could be the greatest kid in one of the prophecies.
Ah yes, the great Rus invasion of Scandinavia of 857! Here's to hoping that in the future, they will also show us the sack of Timbuktu of 945 by Styrbjörn the Strong, and Eric the Reds' great defeat at Tbilisi in the year 983!
King your finally back when Vikings finishes can you do other show reviews maybe when witcher is out.
I will be checking the Witcher out when it releases, if they do it justice it could be a really great series to review!

Ragnar was backbone of vikings.
I want to believe that at some point, maybe in the latter part of the season, the series will move to Constantinople.
It is known that the Varangian Guard, Eastern Roman (Byzantine) Emperor's personal bodyguard consisted of Norse, Rus and Anglo-Saxon warriors.
There were active trade routes from Constantinople to Kiev, Novgorod and Skandinavia at the time, also there were some conflicts.
Bjorn wanted to explore the Mediterranean, he even had contact with Eastern Roman's in Sicily, so the Rus maybe his ticket to access "Miklagard" the Great City,
as Norse men used to call Constantinople.
Another fact is that about a year or two ago the production called for Greek-speaking actors.
The majority of Eastern Roman (Byzantine) people were Greek-speaking, so this could be a clue.
I really hope the show drives to this direction, Constantinople was the largest city in Europe at the time and Eastern Roman (Byzantine) Empire one of the strongest states.
I wish this was the plot of the upcoming season, instead of a war with the Rus invading Scandinavia which never happened off the top o’ my head.

Too much budget for only one storyline. Bjorn’s storyline in Kattegat will be going on so it’s just too much. They had to tie things in with Bjorn.
That guy at 2:41 in the video is whitehair he was one of ivars men. He has been on the show for a couple seasons.

the armour of the rus vikings makes them look more like mongols
Maybe influenced by the Huns and other pre Mongolic people of the steppe since the Mongols hadn’t formed their empire and traveled west yet. But since the timeline is all messed up in this show it very well could be. I don’t even think the Rus Princedom was even established yet.

The opening of each episode it shows "sigert" drowning and he was killed by "IVAR" if u look closely rite after it shows "sigert" Drowning it shows "visterk" drowning I guarantee u that it's showing visterk drowning cuz he gets kileed by IVAR this season (season 6)... Yes Lawd! Me too. That last Season having Ivar act like a maniac was utterly ridiculous! This is the "Ivar" I admired and fell in love with when he first appeared. I also believe that the Rus King will underestimate Ivar. No one can out wit, out think, out maneuver, or out deceive like "Ivartheboneless!" Period...We all know had it not been for Ivar's wife he would have still been King of Kattegat. He won that battle against Bjorn, but that wench went behind his back and cost him his "Kingship."

One thing I will say is don’t underestimate Oleg Of Novgorod. He will be more ruthless than Ivar and he will even shock Ivar with his merciless actions. Ivar probably will betray him one day, but definitely has to come up with a great plan to do so.

I happen to agree with you. I think Ivar will change and not only defend his brother, but also his people. It will be the thing to bring them back together. We need to remember when "Ragnar" told Ivar he was the key to saving their people. So that's exactly what I believe.

Omar_ Elattar. This would explain why he’s sitting with Bjorn, and why a Bjorn seems upset, he can neither condemn him or praise ivar, he’s just stuck in the middle.
Bjorn will end up like Ragnar rich,successful, lost the war not the battle and it beats him down sooo bad
it's a big bummer for me that Vikings, a show with historical vikings (some of which went to ireland) and is filmed in ireland, will not visit ireland in it's entire storyline - at least that's the way it looks!
That scene of Bjorn holding the sword high has a lot of information in it. It basically tells us that Bjorn's rule will be full of bloodshed and death and that he will relinquish his rule. Also if you look carefully, the blood on his forehead has the letters IVAR. Now consider that Ivar and Bjorn are shown together at the end of the trailer and that Ragnar predicted Ivar would be the best chance of survival for his people. It wouldn't surprise me if Ivar tutored Bjorn's children in the art of combat and strategy to ensure the next generation are prepared. Hirst did say that Ivar would take on a fatherly role in season 6. I'm not saying that Bjorn will die but he doesn't exactly take care of his children or his (ex)wives. That neglect will open up opportunities for the other sons of Ragnar. Ubbe will probably go to Iceland and discover Vinland as well. I have no clue what's in store for Hvitserk but he has fallen out with Ivar and Ubbe and I think he will fall out with Bjorn and Lagertha as well. In the end they will all fulfill their fates and the Seer's prophecies will come to pass but maybe not as expected.

The fatherly relationship with Ivar isn’t Bjorn’s children. It’s going to be when he’s with the Rus’. There’s a shot of Ivar with a child who’s most likely Igor and that’s the kid he’ll have a fatherly relationship with. In history, Igor was adopted by Oleg who was Rurik’s son. It’s interesting to see if they follow that route in the show too.

I think Bjorn will nominate king harold and here is why. I think Bjorn knows how being king weighed his father down and king harold has been a great ally last season who wants to be king so i believe Bjorn will push for king harold instead of himself.

Now I know who it is the guy with Ivar is Vladimir the great is the king of Kiev that supplies the Byzantine emperor 6000 Vikings that then become known as the vanguard and they get led by Harold hidrata they fight all through the Mediterranean but Vladimir was descended from swedish Vikings so that would make sense

@@noahherreid9705 sure in the hell is! And I am here for it! I believe Ivar is going to deceive the "Rus King" and help his brothers. The reason why I believe this is because, Ivar doesn't mind fighting his people to rule his own people. But, we need to remember when "Ragnar" told Ivar he is the person that is important to the future of their people. So I don't believe for a second that he will hand his own people over to someone else. Ragnar's Sons may fight with each other, against one another, but they have never fought against one another to give over Kattegat to strangers. So I think Ivar will change and help his own people.
Wild theory alert... I've thought about this preview and have a theory. I'm calling the first BIG Cast death to be Torvi. At 2.06 you do see her with Ubbe in the background. And then again at possibility at 2.43. Just there, which are both what appears early in the story. You see Lagertha with the kids at 3.29, on the farm away from Kattegat? Skip to 9:40 and Ubbe wants to go search for Floki. To me that is suggesting he is a journey, as in life has changed. Go do something away from here, Find Floki. He wouldn't leave on his own just to find Floki as Ubbe and Torvi were tight. If she was alive she would have gone with him. IMO. Then at 10:07 either that is Floki or its proving Ubbe is alone in a depressive atmosphere, which supports my theory he has lost Torvi. I'm off to find other previews to either support or debunk my theory, what I wrote here is just based on this preview. What to other people think?
Vikings has had it's fair share of tragic love stories for the sons of Ragnar so it's totally plausible. Also as you said the fact Ubbe is dropping everything to head out and find Floki might mean he's not tied down anymore :(

Could these invaders succeed in Kattegate with the help of Ivar or the sons of Rangar will join together with Rollo and his squad to save Kattegate.
And still Ivar has not done his jobs because Ragnar trust him in leading his people not the ruthless Ivar we saw in season 5
They wouldn’t give that much screen time to “some dude we haven’t really seen before” in a preseason trailer my man, that “dude” is actually Whitehair and he was the head of Ivars bodyguards in York and basically one of Ivars generals. Maybe before you make your next video do some Wikipedia research, or even just google “the dude Bjorn banished in season 6 trailer” instead of rushing to make a video about a very popular and loved show! Most people won’t say it as nicely as I just did lol.
But I loved when Ubbe told him he wouldn’t be able to ask Ivar jackshit because he was going to rip out his tongue and nail it to a tree...so he made the correct choice in bowing out and letting them pass.

They were Swedish, but wasn’t called Rus until after they conquered Slavic lands (Ukraine, Russia, etc.)

Although there are some major departures from history (Ivar Banlaus went to Ireland, not Russia, and Bjorn Ironside was never king of Norway) this seems to be an interesting season, with a lot of good battles rather than the tribad soap opera silliness involving Lagertha and that insipid "shield maiden" that took up far too much of last season....but Lagertha's fans are going to have to accept the fact that she is an old woman by Norse standards, and if she does not die in battle she will not go to Valhalla, but face an ignoble death from old age!

For sure I don't see Bjorn still as king by the end of the part a, which leaves room for Harald and Ivar. Also ans we didn't get any Alfred here I hope you're right on him being the focus of part b :D

All I want to see is Harald get a queen. One that really loves him, and they have lots of kids, and she doesn’t die/abandon him. And going to Russia, cool! Bejorn becomes king of Sweden, and Harald becomes king of all Norway. They band together to repel the Rus, and then have an agreement to divide Sweden/Norway, and live in peace, and to help each other in case of invasion. They both get rich, fat and sassy, and have lots of sons. That’s my prediction.😁

Prince Oleg and King Olaf are born almost 100 years apart in real life. And I don't know of any Russ Viking invasion of Norway, so seems we really have to guess. It should be remembered that the Russ Vikings are mostly connected with Sweden, not Norway. Well until Harald Hardrada King of Norway, a grandson of Harold Finehair, but that's about 100 yrs later again. And geographically, Sweden is in between Norway and Russia, so you'd think the Russ would be invading Sweden first. Especially since Prince Oleg claims to be invading his on Viking roots. Which would definitely be Sweden. Anyways, I'm pretty sure history is going to be useless here and well that's ok, it's still a great story. The story of Queen Olga, Olegs brothers wife, being by far the best and most worthy of being reenacted. These people are all my ancestors, so I'm using my family tree here and that said, I totally love what has been done with Vikings. So descendant applause from me.
