The sixth and final season of the historical drama television series Vikings premiered on December 4, 2019, on History in Canada. The series broadly follows the exploits of the legendary Viking chieftain Ragnar Lothbrok and his crew, and later those of his sons. - Розваги
I wish there was more episodes of just the North American expedition. It’s like the early episodes of Ragnar exploring England.
Yeah like I'm loving it at the moment but it's sad to think there is only 2 episodes left to go :(
@@KingMckay I have Prime and very little self control. I watched them all back to back non stop. Iv never done that cause nothing else Iv ever cared too. It’s pros and cons to be able to do that.
Yes it would in fact be good to see more of that storyline learning to live with people who speak a different language and have a totally different way of life
Me to ; the shots around America are incredible & showed just how far the Vikings traveled
But without killing everyone.
Alfreds new hairstyle kinda looks like Bishop Heahmunds
I can see it now that you point it out
I thought the same thing lol!
Bishop Heahmund was amazing: the last great Vikings character
I would love to see more Vikings in America storyline. Beautiful footage for the America scenes
Yeah felt like some of those scenes were trying to put me in a trance :D
@Bam Bam’s World Lets hope so!
They could continue the story if they wanted. The real story goes that a Viking settler did in fact kill a native man over a dispute and that ended in a battle in which the Viking settlers were all killed. But since they're over that in the series I could see it continue
North América by the way.
Those scenes of ubbe in America are the most beautiful shots of this entire series to me
The american story line and the king alfred speach are the best parts of this episode without a doubt
The blue eyes thing with Ivar is a real thing with his osteogenesis imperfecta condition. It's not a prophecy thing, it's due to his collagen not forming correctly in his sclera.
Oh the more you know
Interesting, I didn't know that..
True, but he wouldnt have made it anywhere near where he is now with that disease
True!! I thought about that instantly. The thing is we don't really know if he actually had that condition because many ancient texts say Ivar had a berserker status, something impossible for someone affected by that disease. Anyway, it's a great license the writers took!
But didn't they just find his actually skeleton and said it the boneless was actually a um, well, let's just say the no less has nothing to do with his land
The America scene was beautiful. It has its Last of the Mohicans charm
This was another great episode, the first half of 6b was real good but it gets even better in the second half.
That Alfred speech was amazing. Ferdia done so well with it, and the flashbacks to the chess game was interesting. I like how you mentioned both Ivar and Alfred suffering with their own problems but having to overcome them.
Best part of the episode was Ubbe’s story. Some of the shots in North America were phenomenal. It’s just fun to see a completely new world. The sacrifice scene was great by Torvi and I loved that diplomatic game of gift swapping.
There’s one thing in the Kattegat story I really liked and that was Ingrid’s speech about sending assassins to have that Danish converted king killed. That is clear set up for the spin off Valhalla. We know Valhalla focuses on the fall of the Vikings and the clash between Christian Vikings and Pagan Vikings so Ingrid is trying to preserve the old ways of the Gods and we know Kattegat stays Pagan in Valhalla.
Enjoyed the reaction as always!
I did always enjoy Vikings exploring the clash between Christianity and the Norse gods. It will be interesting to see how Vikings: Valhalla tries to approach it. I guess it will really depend on the timeline they choose to cover.

I've been watching all of these man. Really been enjoying them!
It was pretty cool to see you getting into new content for the season! It was great to seeing you do more predictions videos and now you've stepped it up again :D
@@KingMckay That means a lot! Hope you're staying safe, and can't wait for more of these class videos! ✨
Amazing Episode. Loved the North America storyline especially, and to top it all of ; a Lovely Review :)
Glad you enjoyed it!
Watching the entire season and then watching your reviews too makes me appreciate the season more and the so many details I didn't pay attention to before. Wonderful reviews!!!
When I saw the eagle fly over them I was oh shit AC Conner
King McKay you are the man! Didn’t even pick up on how Vikings juxtaposed and related Ivar and Alfreds diseases, definitely building up the rivalry here adding a common struggle they each have to deal with in addition to the others army
They never did get to finish that chess game, so I guess we will find out the winner on the battle field instead!
Looking back at seasons 4-6 it's such a shame they didn't give Ubbe a bigger storyline and much more screen time. I didn't really take much notice of him when he was first introduced to the show in 4B but he is easily my favourite character now. The only son of Ragnar who is still down to earth and trying to fulfill his father's dreams. Especially his relationship with Alfred had so much potential.
5:53 I love this edge reference 😆
😆
Edge was on the edge 😳
Actually John Cena was standing next to the whale corpse the whole time!
Alfred gives resounding speech to soldiers from about 100 feet away. Soldiers 5 rows back: "What's he saying? I wish he'd talk louder."
I feel they do that a lot especially before battles. Though it would be funny if they had him go row by row and repeat the same speech again and again :D
love the season ending , tho i wish they make season 7 how Ivar son grow up , and see older King Alfred
I wish ubbe would’ve came it North America one episode sooner
Honestly they could have set up Ubbe's story to be the beginning of a new show entirely. I know I would watch it :D
My friend Ubbe , iim happy that you finnaly find it !! Wish i could be there with you
Great show I loved it and it will be missed
Skol!
The seer is dead but still alive as usual lol
Love the reviews, im a big LAST KINGDOM fan
with an episode title of "its only magic" i had hoped ubbe would show off some old world technology (steel?) and appear to be gods
I did think Ubbe kind of got scammed trading his Iron axe and getting a stone one back hahaha
I am going to watch season 6 again - it was so amazing.
Top 3 shows ever !
A really solid episode
Disappointed with their urge to end the show. I never enjoyed any show like that but when now I am about to recommend someone they ask about the ending and am like 'disappointed'. Anyhow, the Ivar buildup in the last few episodes were worth the expectations.
I most certainly would not have complained if they choose to make more seasons. There is easily enough material (Ireland for example). Still I have really enjoyed a lot of what we have got :D
@@KingMckay I think if they didn't want to make more seasons it would have been better that they left some of the stories to our imagination instead of devastating them in a hurry as they did with most of the characters.
what are you talking about the last season im ena the last part of it was really well done and i loved what they did with ivar his death made me cry a little bit and it made me think about a lot of things in the show and here i am re watching every episode to the season 6 and episode 20
I like how the show was wanting the sons of Ragnar to b more popular than him but that didn’t work at all the show went downhill after he left and so did the characters
I feel finding the golden land was the highlight , it was beautifully shot & showed the native Americans in a true light of wanting peace ✌️
we watched all the episodes of part 2 of season 6 of The viking , bad ending for everyone, Ubee remains in Canada with Folki.
I think Ivar's idea of recruiting the Viking settlements in Wessex wouldn't have worked, because King Alfred had a good relationship with them and they were doing well there in England. King Alfred is incredible, he truly wanted his people to grow and become better, and I don't imagine him treating the new neighbors differently. What do you think?
The whole Americas story line was the only interesting part of this season to me. Everything else felt incredibly rushed or pointless.
Even though ubbe going was the only thing not really accurate to anything. I guess youre not paying enough attention
@@darthhen969 I'm not talking about historical accuracy moron. Vikings lost that a long time ago.
That’s a caribou!! Not a moose 🤍 I am Gwich’in and I noticed it immediately! So they’re definitely in Canada
A WHOLE NEW WORLD🎵
The thumbnail reminded me off that Disney song
Hahahaha 🎵
The screealings were a group of the proto - Inuit people.
Greatfull for your Work and Time. I Enjoy every one of your Well done reviews. Looking forward to the last two, and dreading the finality of it All. Thank You !!!
The end draws nearer and I feel both excited/sad!
Skræling actually means savage in Old Norse/Old Icelandic. It was not a particularly pleasant term.
Does anyone know the song title for the scene when they make a sacrifice for the Golden Land ? When Torvi speaks/sings ?
This makes me want to research the historical facts about the Vikings that came to the Americas.
Or even better I wish they would make another series exploring Vinland and the Norse who came to North America!
Whare is the new land location film?
Best show ever!!😊
😊
Really? I think this last season is awful
@@tier1solutions28 all 6 seasons
@@tier1solutions28 why?
@@tier1solutions28 I agree Björns death was dumb he could’ve just attacked without dying that’s dumb
Th worst part of this season was the kattegat storyline. They spent way too much time on a character that's only been here since season 6a. I
Ubbe is great
Hard agree!
tbh im not happy with season this second half of season 6, although there's a lot of cool scenes, it's just not hitting the same as the older seasons or even part 1 of season 6
Regardless.... not irregardless
Irregardless isn’t a word
King Alfred was awesome in this episode. He will drive away the Vikings from England. He is a great king.
Some might even call him, um maybe Alfred The Great :D
Does he have an heir?
@@samanthab1923 Edward the Elder was his son and heir
Official Filmilen Thanks, I seem to remember the wife sleeping with Bjorn. Any questions who his dad was?
@@samanthab1923 umm yes @king McKay any analysis about the fact that Bjorn slept with Alfreds wife, and that in fact is Bjorn’s child born of Viking blood, perhaps because Alfred is “ in the closet”. ? Or perhaps not?
"Skræling", in the context of the show, should probably mean something akin to "barbarian" or "savage". Alternatively, in Old Norse it would have meant something closer to "(people with) dried skins", possibly referencing the animal pelts that the Indigenous people wore as clothing. I guess you can take your pick which one the writer meant to convey there.
At the point they said it, we had not seen any of them yet. Meaning they could not have seen whether they did or did not have animal pelts making that one unlikely. So the show runners were probably using it in the first context then.
Thanks for the info :D
SPOILERS DONT READ!!!!!!! It seemed like Ivar kinda wanted to die fighting their, for his legacy and story. Other than some fog that ended up in a way helping the Vikings instead of hurting them.. (except King Harold LOL) BUT it seemed like Ivar lead them to defeat knowingly, as in he never truly thought they would win. And supporting my idea/theory was that at the end Ivar had a flashback or the TV viewers did at least, of Vitsergk choosing Ivar and sticking with him. The flashback memories of his LOYAL brother made him feel terrible or guilty because he knew death was next for the vikings and so he tried to save his brothers life. Plus I mean COMON THAT LITTLE FUCKER KILLED IVAR??!?!? I mean yes Ivar isn’t too light on his feet (HAHA) & yes his eyes were blue so his bones were weaker, BUT EVEN WEAPONLESS Ivar could have killed that kid with his walking Crutch/Cane thingy. I mean its not as if we haven’t seen Ivar fight and kill bigger tougher opponents than the kid that basically prison shanked him lmao. Idk how i feel about that ending, it seems like everything points to what i am saying but i just dont know how believable this is for Ivar
We all knew they were Indian's, but if they were Giants that would've been badass... Giants were found buried all throughout North America by many of the first settler's from England, new colonies and after. There's old New York times articles from 1890 to early 1900s of burial mounds being dug up with skeletons ranging from 10ft -35ft . The old testament even talks about them.
Link?
@@chubbymonkey452 Google "giant burial mounds new york post article 1800s 1900s" and you will find old news paper clippings and much more evidence .
@@chubbymonkey452 Indians had wars with a race of Giants with red hair and 6 fingers. Its said the raising of the hand to greet stranger's was a way to know if it was a younger giant.
So what is this land historically that and those people ubbe discovered in the show if it isn't Iceland or Greenland but a new world or something
Yeah this is North America. The settlement is called Vinland.
"Vineland or Winland was an area of coastal North America explored by Vikings. Leif Erikson first landed there around AD 1000, nearly five centuries before the voyages of Christopher Columbus."
So They gave that history to Ubbe rather than introducing Leif Erikson as a new character.
@@KingMckay OOO so this is vinland huh there's a anime on this where the main character father dream was to discover the golden land vinland and the name is vinland saga of the anime ... So what tribe are these people there... Red indians or something?
@@KingMckay Vinland saga is an amazing show if you do watch anime. Viking theme it’s awesome
So Canada then eh? 🇨🇦
Mixed feelings....Eric and Ingrid....meh. Ivor complete personality transplant and killed by a randomer .....meh.Hvitserk , I didn't care about him anymore. New world stuff was exciting ,spin off me thinks!
Ubbe's story was the best this episode, did a great job of recapturing that spirit of adventure that some of the earlier seasons did well. Honestly a bit disappointed with everything else, pretty much sums up how I feel about these final episodes, a bit of a letdown.
Lmao that's a reindeer/elk of some sort. Not a moose... haha
Well they're in Canada and it's got antlers so that's close enough for me hahaha
When did Erik go blind?
Last episode, Ingrid did her witchy stuff
Would have been cool if they met Bigfoot
The Rus already killed Bjorn back in Norway though. JK but he was looking mightily close to Bigfoot by the end there :D
@@KingMckay lol true
Who is the blind guy & how did that happen?
What happened to all of Tovi's children?
@@samanthab1923 We don't talk about Tovi's children, lets just say Bjorn has an unlucky streak.
King Mckay Gotcha
Blind guy is from the start of season 6 Erik he saved Bjorns life then became close to him like a commander or something, and then this Ingrid bitch did some witchy shit on him
@Bam Bam’s World Siggy, Bjorn's first child, was Thorunn's not Torvi's. Thorunn ran away because she was depressed and ashamed about her injuries.
How did Eric get blind? I skipped it because I didnt care
Ingrid cursed him.
@@hannahstanley8201 oh
Ingrid put poisonous herbs under his pillow.
