Two breathtaking performances that we could see, with our own eyes, and could feel within our own hearts. No, it was not entirely historically accurate, but the spirit of these two legends were reborn into this world through Travis Fimmel in Vikings, and David Dawson in the Last Kingdom. There are some things that few men in this world are born to do. King Ragnar, and King Alfred were destined for fame, and glory in their time, just as much as these two amazing actors were fated to depict them to us, and bring their legend to life, on the screen before us. This work, I hope they both consider, to be their masterpiece. 🙏
It should be a literal crime that Travis didn’t win 35 awards for his performance in this show. This show genuinely made me feel. And it’s because of his acting. Honestly probably my favorite show ever.

I like this selection. Emotions, reflection, milestones and progression of personality... actually important stuff and not just bunch of moment when he screams like a madman and hurt other people.
I started this show about a month ago. I got to season 3 episode 4. Then my mom started to watch it because I introduce it to her so just because I wanted to see her reaction as I was continuing season 3 I went back and watched all the season 1 and 2 again with my mother that's how you know that this is a good show if you can re-watch episode you just watched two days prior
You could tell that when Bjorn “changed his mind” and Lagertha and Ragnar looked at each other, that they knew their little boy was broken. At that point Lagertha did not want to leave, but her head was telling her that the pain she was feeling was not right and she had to do this for her boy because he had changed his mind. At that point, Lagertha and Ragnar were still in love. But watching her leave turned Ragnar into a monster. He truly lost himself as well as Lagertha lost her peace, while Bjorn was still pushing on as he didn’t know what was going on and how his life was going to change drastically. Not only did the story begin here for Ragnar but it also ended. Stay humble
It’s one thing to play the role of a character, it’s another thing to make that role you and actually embody it.. Travis did an amazing job with that character

The moment where Ragnar says that maybe they will never see each other because one will go to Heaven and the other to Valhalla because the Christian God forbids murder (even though Ragnar doesn't believe in gods or at least has doubts) just breaks my heart. Ragnar in the series is a true atheist and a true believer at the same time. Like me. Therefore, as a Catholic by blood, but a believer in evolution, a person with Catholic thinking and family values, I sit for friendship and love between people. One of the touching moments in the entire series. I soo f*ckin love this guys.
Travis Fimmel has been done dirty by not getting any award for his performance as Ragnar Lothbrok. His performance truly shaped my life for the better, he was so inspirational in this role. And the funny thing is, knowing Travis, he's so humble and down to earth that he would still claim he didn't deserve an award. I love this man from the bottom of my heart.

I still believe they color touch his eyes for the ways he is feeling. When he is out at sea, they are dark blue, when raging, they are ice blue and sometimes they even look violet.
U can even see the pain in his eyes on the first and secound clip. As if it all happened for real. This show blew me away and the biggest reason for that is this character and actor.
In hindsight it’s interesting that Ragnar almost missed out on Bjorn’s adult life because of his need to have many sons but his first son became his greatest heir!
