😢 you beat me to 1k 😂😂 it totally deserving Dora you are an amazing channel and will do well. I love this time of year for making plans and changes. What excellent harvests 👍 have a fab week, Ali 🌞🇨🇦
A lovely video Dora. ❤ An IBC tank would definitely be a great bonus for you and will fill up in no time during the winter. It must be a pain having to keep taking your own water to the allotment. Everything coming along nicely 👍❤
Thank you so much 🥰 it will be SO much better! In a way I’m thankful we haven’t had a roaster of a season for this reason. Ps I’ve just subscribed to your channel too ☺️ look forward to seeing your plot.
Dora I just finished a loong day's work, wrecked, saw you'd posted and I gotta tell ya this is a tonic. The music, the chilled vibe, everything is exactly what I need right now with my little cup of tea. Thank you! Ps I love the sunflower updates that thing's a beast!
Oh Natalie I’m so pleased it’s a relaxing watch for you and thank you for commenting! Hope you managed to have a nice rest with your cuppa 🥰 haha isn’t it just!! I may have to formalise this and bring a tape measure - I’m curious.
That cob at 10:10 looks very interesting! It seems to contain both the male pollen part & the female tassles from the cob! That is super interesting and potentially game changing if you can save those seeds, maybe you've created a self pollinating corn
Wow that didn’t cross my mind! Sadly I took it off and popped it in the compost bin 😩 but I shall dig it out and see if I can inspect further / save some seed! Thank you for commenting ☺️
@@doras.allotment Sorry for the slow reply! If you did manage to save any seeds please please let me know, I would love to try and germinate these and see if the genetics continue, will happily pay for any packaging/delivery needs!
Beautiful plot.❤I live in canada an ddont know if we have allotment here like you guys. I garden in our backyard gardens. Very lucky to have a little yard to play around.
Just subscribed to your channel Dora. What a great allotment you have ! Love the relaxing vibe you have. I'm a bit envious of your fruit harvest. My apples and plums have neen a no show this year. Hopefully my autumn fruiting raspberries will be more successful. Looking forward to your next post.
Aw thank you so much 🌞 I must say the plums are lacking considering the size of the trees, I need to review pruning next year as I left them to it this year - but the apples really are a treat! 🤞🏻🤞🏻 for your raspberries and thank you for watching and subscribing
Hello Dora, IBC tank brilliant plan, but also get 2 or 3 wooden pallets and place the IBC on top of them. Some plastic guttering from DIY and tubing will get the water from your shed into the IBC.
Hi Dora .Over time we have set up several IBC tanks feeding from old garage roofs around the edges of our allotment site. But the source I use most is from one of the gutters attached to a small communal shed near my plot which feeds into an ordinary garden butt which is then linked to another open topped one which I use as a dip tank to fill my watering cans.Quicker than using a tap and only involves cheap simple fittings.Whereas IBC fiittings seem to vary a lot .
@@davidshinn6501 that’s a good consideration, thank you. I’ll have to ensure I don’t lose my other open topped connected butts in the process - the more the merrier 🌞
The dip tank idea is a brilliant suggestion. It's so slow filling watering cans from any tap and if you leave one filling it's either overflowing or you forget to come back because of some distraction. Emma's allotment seems to have this dip tank system but I think it's off the mains .
Well done Dora, you just went rocketing past the one thousand subscribers mark . Once again you forgot to tell us to like and subscribe but it's ok I've done it for you . Your plot is certainly earning it's keep with all the lovely vegetables you're taking home continuously. Plumbing up the ibc tank should be good for a laugh or two and will make a nice vlog on its own in the bleak winter months when little else is happening. I loved your little trip to Daylesford ,you should consider a full tour as other successful vloggers have done . Keep on growing, mowing and showing and we'll see you in the next episode.
Thank you for your support!! I did start to ask when I was filming but cringed myself out so didn’t manage it haha. Thank you for the reminder again. I imagine you’re right in terms of providing some entertainment 😂 will be a whole lot better having the extra supply! Pleased you enjoyed daylesford snippets, good idea ☺️
I've wanted an IBC tank since i took on my allotment 11 months ago. They are so hard to find at a reasonable price and getting them delivered is also a problem. Good luck in your endeavour. Happy gardening 🙂
Looks good Dora after all the awful weather we've had and the veg are coming back with a vengeance ive even had Cucumbers of a plant i bedded outside !!
I told you a couple of months ago you will go far,now Danny wants you no is having you on is live.he as seen something in you like I did on your first video.well done you
And I said you will soon be on 1,000 subs you said that would be lovely and I’ve just looked and I’m right and my next prediction is after you have been on Danny’s live you will hit 2,000 subs within 6 weeks 👍

I wish here in America we had allotment gardens. Here it’s more about concrete and home owner associations than actual gardens I enjoyed watching
Oh that’s such a shame! I’m pleased you enjoyed watching ☺️ Do you have a spot to make a small raised bed anywhere?
Dora Lovely video .The video is very nice, your garden is beautiful. I love your gardening.
Thank you very much, so kind! I’m pleased you’re enjoying ☺️
I'd pop a handful of dried grass or a stone under any squashes Dora. Some lovely crops 🙂
Good idea, thank you Susie! ☺️

Lovely video as usual and wow, what a lot of beautiful raspberies. Well done.
Thank you Brenda, so kind of you to say! It’s amazing to have all of the raspberries - I may even try to make a jam at some point soon ☺️

Thank you ☺️ that’s brill that you’ve got space to grow at home. Do you grow in the ground or in raised beds?
