Excellent video 👏👏 nice collection of Red Power 💪💥 i may be wrong but that M looked like it had s heat exchanger on the exhaust manifold for running on what we call tractor vaporising oil but couldn't see if it had a dual tank on it 🤔 look after your own health as well as you look after your tractors 👍
Na , close up not a manifold with a heat valve. I have a H with the distillate set up. Duel tanks , shutters , manifold heat valve and shield. Flat top pistons, original as far as I can tell. Just questionable for the carburetor and the jet size if rebuilt.
Excellent video Gino :) nice Jeff had power steering pump for you and would paint up too before installation on! Also tractors he has in good condition and shape to!
I think the 1086 was overpriced for what it was. Nice you found the power steering parts. On the W-450s, late W-400, 600/650s, 300/ 350 utility, as well as the 60 series, there was a priority valve in the main relief valve control on the left side by the fuel tank. The same main relief is on the Farmalls, as those tractors that were equipped without power steering. If you can find one with the priority valve, you can run your power steering with the main hydraulics. I'm not sure about the 60 series, but the ones for the older ones will bolt right on.
Had a 966 bought new in 75. Put a clutch in it every 3 years. Got a Hy- Capacity clutch one time for replacement. Said on yhe box it would fit 460-560 through 966-986. My 966 dynoed at 123 hp with seal on injection pump. Big difference between 560 and my 966 in horsepower. Traded for 1066 and had less clutch trouble because of the bigger clutch.
My 886 with the D360 starts in any weather. Nice tractors. 14L for the 1086 may not be too bad depending on its condition and if you can install the clutch and TA yourself. And it has AC.
Keep in mind a heavy duty clutch and turbo on a 9 does not a 1066 make. There are quite a few differences in a DT-414 over a D-414.The most crucial being piston cooling jets on the pistons of a DT-414 to handle the extra heat generated by the turbo.
That 856 looked pretty good. How much was he asking for it? I bet the 1086 with the cab would be nice too. $14,000 may not be a bad price. Depending on how much the clutch and TA would cost to replace. Nice group of tractors. I live over here in the real flat lands. West central Ohio is getting really flat.
My chickens and ducks know red power means food. My wife helped me do a clutch fork adjustment on my Cub and she drove up with me on the drawbar and asked "Do they do this every night?", yes, yes they do.
The guy has some nice old tractors. I'm not trying to hate but a 1086 that needs a clutch and TA isn't worth $14k. Even if you have the means to do the work yourself you're still looking at around $4000-$5000 in parts and misc stuff like new HyTran. In my opinion it would only be worth around $10 unless it is a very low hour tractor, 3 remotes, and everything else functions properly.
My dad farmed 40 acres with an H. I spent many hours cultivating with an H and 2 row cultivators. 2 bottom plow, 8 foot disc, two row 290 John Deere planter, nasty 45 baler that I hated, mounted 7 foot cycle bar mower. Then he got big 560. Quick hitch 4 bottom plow, 4 row cultivators and a 4 row Oliver planter. Had to buy another farm the next block over.@@FarmallFanatic
I always liked the way the engine sounds in a 86 series. And boy his 856 looked sharp!
Nice tractors..tour of the farm ..complete with a cold snack...boom !!
How did you see the cold snack? 🤣
