Excellent video Farmall 👌always enjoy when you show repairs/maintenance you do👍 there are so many similarities on your tractor and my British built one exactly the same set up for adjusting belt tension, the 7/8ths ball bearings in the brakes which exactly as you mentioned wear flat spots on them I religned my brakes and replaced the balls probably about 6 months ago 👍and like yourself I have a new wiring loom waiting to be fitted as the original has so many brittle pieces and repair pieces joined in to it I decided it was time to do it, we have our last vintage ploughing competition this Sunday and then the re wiring will be done 👍
I do like this format. I'm getting quite the pile of parts for my own SMTA. Hopefully get started redoing it next week! Still have a list of parts to buy
I bet we haven't but 3 or 4 inches of snow this year. I've only shoveled once. However, we've had snow all the way up into April so, we'll see. The old tractor needs some attention. Not bad for a 60 or so year old tractor.
The brakes on my White are designed the same and when I did them I put seed graphite in the pockets and on the balls. I don't know if it's right or wrong but I figured it would work and be better than grease or oil that could gum up with dust or leach out into the discs.
The 400 will think it died and went to heaven after the parts are installed. Old-timer mechanics can work on these jewels in their sleep LOL. New wave mechanics might find things more of a challenge...not computerized, etc. Always amazes me how many letter series Farmalls are still chugging away at 75-80 yrs old.
Excellent video Gino :) why ask you do videos is so teaching you knew skills and learned with you too also ! Also fuse holder good ideas 💡 👍 👌 👏 and glass fuse say in owners manual what type if not tell it is 15 amp 32 to 35 volt one fast acting type as place get parts dealer want package of them keep on hand too ! Never know when need replacement it sometimes in future and hope ask the one fuse need for Alternator on 12 volt Negative ground systems ! Hopefully that help out Gino and yes new thermostat help on gauge reading to don't forget get gasket plus silicone also on sensor if replacement get Telephon tape put threads of sensor 2 wraps to so seal from leaks antifreeze when engine warm up or be long day use! Becarefull when do dash apart not bend or pinch oil pressure line to gauge or get false reading when low or high idles not touch the water pressure to or gauge read wrong on needle too! I seen happen before on famillies friends International tractor Desiel one ! Choke cable hope be fix too and all need do tractor 400 to fix !
What is your turn around time to get parts on order? I always ordered from a dealer and it was usually on the next order from the factory so we didn't pay shipping.

What’s the best impact and drill motor you’ve used over the years.

In your 400 parts travels I'm looking for a set of clamshell fenders for my 400!
Fastenal is where I got my hood bolts at a lot cheaper than anyone else?
That is good to know I will definitely be shopping
It’s a 400. It’ll be worth it. 😊
True 👍
They are on a camber...the balls in the brake
Where are you getting your bolts for sheet metal?
Ebay or Steiner
I'll probably end up dumping $10,000 into my dad's 70 diesel John Deere, but it was my dad's 70 diesel. Irreplaceable.
That is definitely true

I order from 5 different places
Set the chickens on the mice. They love mice.
They sure do
Can you take a sample “hood” bolt to fastener supplier and buy a box?
Oh yeah i'm sure
