How to make Soy Candles for a new business or a hobby.

Welcome back to NikaelCTV! In this video I will show you step by step how to make Handmade Soy Candles. These candles can be used to start an Etsy business, a side hustle, hobby, or just for fun. I started making soy candles for my Etsy shop IndulgeHut Candles and More and sometimes I just make them to burn here at home. Below is a list of the items I used and where I got them from.
I T E M S U S E D:
-Soy Wax Flakes: Golden Brand 464
- Cotton Wicks: CD 8
-Wick Stickers or Hot Glue Gun
-Pouring Pot for wax
- Dried Flowers (optional)
- 8 or 16 oz Heat Safe Candle Container
-Heat Gun
-Wick Sticks
- Fragrance Oils for Scent
- Stirring Spoon
- Candle Thermometer
Most items purchased from Candle Science. They even have start up kits, how to guides and wick sizing guides.
I M P O R T A N T D E T A I L S:
-Wax needs to be at its flashpoint before adding scents: 185 Degrees Fahrenheit!
- Stir wax and scent mixture for at LEAST 2 minutes. Slow and Steady.
- Wax needs to cool down to 135 Degrees Fahrenheit or less before pouring into container!
- If selling Candles, You need to wait 2 weeks before they can be sold and lit for the best hot throw, AKA Scent Release!
