    Just used this to make three candles to surprise my wife when she gets home from a business trip; this guide was absolutely first rate, super accessible, non-pretentious, informative, and very easy to follow.
    12/10 stars.
    Thanks so much.

      @artemis5168 Рік тому +3

      @@TheDownables Very much. Not so much for the quality but more for the effort. The quality was more lacking because these were some of the first candles I made, so not my best work. In the time since I've improved the craft considerably and have developed a finer sense of smell for mixing and matching scents, for wick placement in candles, and for overall best practices. Nothing educates like experience.

    2# how does the decorations handle the heat of the wax and do they catch a light?

      Just wonderful, I've been looking for "melting soy wax candle making" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you ever come across - Cenadoelyn Candle Contemplation - (search on google ) ? Ive heard some awesome things about it and my mate got cool results with it.

    Just want something simple and yet rewarding as a after work Hobbie. I love burning candles, so why not make them. I really feel I can do it from this video. You made it seem simple, not like another job.
    Wish me luck.!

    You have not mentioned the ideal temperature at which the wax should melt & the pouring temp. of the wax . Two very vital info.

    I will say i say for someone like me I LOVE that all of the measurements are eyeballed for the most part. I hate math and some other pages practically give you a algebra course on measurements. So im glad i found this video. 😭

    Great video! Would a hair dryer work instead of a heat gun? Also, how do you calculate the amount of fragrance? Many thanks for the instructions!

    sheri vegas, how to measure the fragrance? And what kind of fragrances are you using? Pure essential oils or fragrances prepared specifically for candles? Thanks in advance.

      Jye Price do you mean 6-10% of the amount of wax? So eg if I use 100 grams of wax I should use max 10g of fragrance?? Just to be simple lol ty

    Where do you purchase your fragrance oil? I have never made a candle, would love to try. I would like to make one and you be able to really smell the fragrance.

    Hi there! Loved the video & great tips! What would be the ideal temperature to cool the wax before pouring into the jar/bowl?
    And what is the temperature that the wax should be heated to?

    I was telling my gf that I wanted to make a couple candles with the aroma therapy oils that I had from Christmas last year. My Spanish mother-in-law said to watch the “Cheddy Bay Gus bidgeo” for an excellent tutorial and example on how to properly make a nice homemade candle. This is the video she was referring to when she told me that…
