Post Scriptum's journey and it's rebirth to Squad 44 has been incredible. From the lowest of lows to now soaring heights I thought this game was done and I was satisfied with that having gotten many years out of it. But now that it has a new life I'm so excited for what's on the horizon of the new dawn.

This game making a comeback is so refreshing after dealing with one disappointment after another from Team 17's handling of hell let loose
I really hope offworld uses the UK in the pacific. Having the British in Malaysia, Burma, and maybe even some urban battle of Singapore would be something never seen before in a mil sim game.
I know right, even in Chapter 3, Juno, Sword, Gold... And stuff like the canadians on Carpiquet airfield
CBI and New Guinea would be great, with Kohima/Imphal as a standout contender, but they'd have to be careful to make combat in steep jungle covered mountains fun and well optimized. The Kokoda Track and the latter battles in the New Guinea campaign come to mind as battles that deserve the light of day but would be very tough to pull off well
A response about this MA Katz "Let’s see how the next theatre release goes then we can consider where next, but we already have something in mind" under a post discussing the British.

Give the radioman more responsibility for sure! They should seriously consider incorporating some of the PSRM features into the base game. This is a mil sim, not just another shooter! Also... maybe a short tutorial for new players on highlighted points of what makes this game different? The new player base coming from the sale is enthusiastic and willing to learn, but needs guidance. Sometimes that guidance is best given in game, but a little nudge before they enter wouldnt be out of the question

As a active RS1 Player I'm hyped for the Pacific update
I've been craving a good Pacific front game since the days of Rising Storm. I absolutely loved the way that game balanced the factions including the infamous banzai charge.

I hope they continue to coordinate with the modders and incorporate more of the mods as basegame content (shifting sands and chapter red). Naturally with proper bug fixes and making the game run smoother than it currently does. But all things considered, great things await.
Hell let loose developers are taking care that many new players are coming to Squad44 !!!!!
I have probably 500 hours on HLL and I just bought squad 44 yesterday, haven't got a chance to play it yet but tmro I can't wait!
Even if we're in some kind of "competition", it's really a shame what happens to HLL. I'd love to see a chunk of the playerbase switch to SQ44 for sure, but I know damn well what it's like to see his favorite game going nuts

The fighting around between Caen and the beachhead the first weeks after D-day would be a great scenarion. Not the usual sites and americans but Canadians/brits vs 12th ss and 21st pzdiv. Rots, Authie, Buron...will the germans throw the allies in the sea??
There's a mod called Chapter Richelieu featuring the battles of the Pegasus bridge & Merville battery, but it's outdated for now. Hopefully we could expect an update in the upcoming months?
In any case, yeah, a few more maps for normandy could be a blast, especially featuring the canucks !

Squad 44 become more in line with HLL than with PS. It's a shame, a lot of fun things have ended up being cut out. The gameplay continues becoming more and more dull. One of last examples is rendering radiomen useless by taking away their only job - refreshing rally, instead of creating more things for them to do. Radioman now it's just another rifleman, but without rifleman's (or medic's) perks. Exceptional example of many other mechanics that got gut out for sake of "making the game more accessible".
I still cherish my 2000 hours spent with buggy and broken Post Scriptum. It was a special game.
Can we get performance improvements please?

Im so tired of HLL and wanna try Squad 44 but the steam numbers for players concern me.
If that can reassure you, I've been playing this game with no issue while it was still at 200 max players. Servers are just here, you'll just have to log in, whether there's 2 or 14 of them
The player base has improved, weekends are the busiest, but even during the weekdays there are plenty of servers to choose from. Dont worry about the player base, be an addition!
i like the game, ww2 atmosphere is great .... but performance is pure shit im getting even below 30fps where i can run bf2042 for example high settings smooth 60fps ... maps are fuckin huge, they could easily split them into few small ones ... and just the gameplay feels a bit weird sometimes ... i think i would need 50inch monitor to spot enemies because i cant see anything, pixels are killing me or someone hidden somewhere impossible to track, its very difficult to tell from where the shots coming from, better feedback would be nice ... i remember some guy built a mg42 station and told me through mic to use it, i used it for whole 5 seconds before someone sniped me, it feel kinda stupid ... it feels like you have all those amazing details for nothing ... fixing peformance would be a great start, but gameplay also needs to change, the flow is just dramatic, people going everywhere but not objectives, placing spawns in bad locations ... good game but needs some balancing
We've all been through that when we started this game :D If this is your kind of challenge then hold on tight and you'll have a crush on it eventually
As for the performance issues, we're running a public playtest today to solve them, hopefully the hotfix will come right afterwards

Man, why not have something refreshing for once???? Instead, add the commonwealth forces fighting Japan on Burma, Malaya etc. It would be so much better and would bring something actually unique to this game. The way that it is going now, people will play it for like 2 weeks and get back to same old same maps (like the Crete maps, unfortunatly)
