Elizabeth I was better than her father, but Henry VIII didn’t really fail though. He successfully broke from Rome, which gave England far more autonomy to do things their own way. Elizabeth I's greatest move was the moderate and cautious approach to protastantism. This approach ultimately led to England remaining fairly unscathed by the religious wars of France, Spain, HRE and Netherlands. Also, the approach to colonialism taken by QE2 and England turned out to be a lot more sustainable than Spain's.

Edward the sixth died on the toilet it was a bowel infection. As for the Spanish Armada was because the Spanish prince who was married to Queen Mary the first, failing to stay in England long enough to take the throne and siring an heir to the English throne. Prince Phillip never become King of England due to fact his late wife had miscarriage too many times and he was barely in England and citizens never liked him. When he learn Queen Mary the first had a younger sister and was now Queen of England, he asked his no longer sister-in-law to be his wife. However, she said no and a marriage proposal does have two answers, yes or no and Queen Elizabeth the first said no to marrying her former brother-in-law. This upset the Spanish Prince Phillip and so sent several Armadas to England as many times the ships failed to get to England due to bad weather, ship sabotage and been set on fire due poor safety back then with cooking. They did finally got to England with three large ships to sunk by the small English ship which circled the large ships shooting at them and going around in circles and down the Spanish Armada. Prince Phillip of Spain never tried again after that.

To be fair, Queen Elizabeth 1 did fail in one matter. She never conceived an heir to a throne, and, while luckily there was no war of succession, it meant the end of the Tudor Dynasty. On the other hand, thanks to her reign creating a much more stable and orderly England, after her death, the Monarchy was able to peacefully transition even with all the hurdles.
Perhaps that's intentional too. With James being her unofficial heir, it will unite Scotland with England.
Anne boleyn was so proud
MY FAVOURITE ENGLISH MONARCH💅🖤💅🖤💅🖤💅
the queens are always the most badass or evil tbh
I love the Tudors house just because of this woman .
Elizabeth I was not the nicest ruler, she had anabaptist and catholics quartered, she tortured a pregnant woman (Margaret Clitherow) she executed people who hided priests (Anne Line), she had black slaves and killed africans, she killed a lot of irishs, she executed her cousin, she made a cult of her personality, she made creepy jokes about her mother's death, she made the sailors who fought for her against the spanish armada starve to death because she did not want to paid them, she increased taxes and did not care if her people were dying because she wanted new dresses, she made propaganda and forbidded any bad information about her that's why we remember her as "good" queen Bess...
@@nassimboussaadia6720 You prefer her sister perhaps then Nassim ?
@@panoskakkavas4022 I do prefer her sister and her cousin.
She was actually better than a bunch of politicians nowadays….
Edit: Not for everything tho, like beheading people, but her private life is her own business.
Nah, beheading is cool 😎
Not seen any decent politicians ever

Elizabeth I learning Welsh isn’t surprising, as Henry VIII had incorporated Wales into England in 1536 (coincidentally, the same year that he beheaded Anne Boleyn), therefore meaning that Elizabeth I would need to know Welsh to be able to rule the entirety of the Kingdom of England.
@msmissy6888 Only means that it makes even more sense then.
I LOVE THESE VIDEOS BECAUSE THEY MAKE HISTORY SO MUCH BETTER AND AS WELL AS ALL OTHER SUBJECTS
Elizabeth not only saw what her sister went through ver love but her mother just because she was young doesn't mean she couldn't figure it out love got her mama killed
"Ordering the separation of his head from his body" 💀 IM WEAK
Magellen was not the first man to circumnavigate the world, because he died before his journey was completed, so that honour goes to his second in command Juan Sebastien de Alcano.
Well Robert Dudley and Elizabeth did remain close until his death even after she pushed him away due to his second marriage to one of Elizabeth's ladies in waiting
Do a video on Queen Catherine of Aragon…but please make it less biased than the other one y’all did on her.
Wait how was it biased? Not saying it wasn’t I’m curious
@@camclarke7006 Queen Catherine of Aragon was the definition of a true Queen and Royal Princess. She inherited her mother’s(Queen Isabella of Castile) strength, royal blood, and dignity. Queen Catherine was the best wife of Henry, and no one can prove me otherwise. When folks don’t agree on me on my opinion, I always tell them to check on the internet, and research the lives of the six wives of Henry. Then, they realize who the best Queen was. At the end of the day, the only true wife was Catherine of Aragon ❤️🥰💕👸🏼

Thanks for doing this video. Queen Elizabeth l is my favorite monarch.
Never underestimate the power of a woman
Wow, make it seem like Mary I wanted to behead Lady Jane Grey! (She didn't, but was forced to after a second rebellion in Jane's name). She also burned the Protestants at the stake due to the belief at the time that being in the fire would scare them to face eternal hellfire so much that they would recant and immediately be able to go to heaven.
Robert Devereaux was also the grandson of Elizabeth I'd 1st cousin (and possibly half sister), Katherine Carey (niece of Elizabeth's Mom, Anne Boleyn)...

Nice video
Reign is actually a badass show, and queen Mary is fine AF on there lol
We can clearly say that her emotions died with her horrible past experiences.
Wow that's amazing
I have a question can you do a video on Ane berlin and the other queens that were married to king Henry the eighth just a suggestion
Elizabeth calmly responded by ordering the separation and f his head from his body got me 😂
Elizabeth I's greatest move was the moderate and cautious approach to protastantism. This approach ultimately led to England remaining fairly unscathed by the religious wars of France, Spain, HRE and Netherlands. Also, the approach to colonialism taken by QE2 and England turned out to be a lot more sustainable than Spain's.
she a BADASS frrrrrrr
Oh , and if I remember correctly , John Doe accompanied Drake as Elizabeth's " eyes " .
I love your channel keep up the great stuff
Because she is
*immortal*
Long live the queen
She isn't immortal, she was no match for the great Ruari the Turbulent also known as the last of the Vikings and the noisy
We have such history. Yes she was ruthless woman and the FIRST Iron lady!
Anne Boleyn said: thats my girl thats my girl
The fact This was only a few months before she died😢
Yess!! We need some more like this about queen's and kings
Appalled that Mary, Queen of Scots didn't even get a passing reference in this video. She made Elizabeth I look vulnerable in her later stage of life.
Living proof at the time, and an example to this day, of the fact that women can do anything that men can do (and often better).

“Devereux, did you attempt to revolt against me?” Elizabeth I asked calmly.
She then proceeded to order the separation of his head from his body.
"The people of England loved her so much that she ruled for all of nine days before being forced to relinquish her position..."
"Her Lord and Saviour thanked her for all her work by ensuring she died of yet another unknown illness five years later at the age of 42."
"Elizabeth calmly responded by ordering the separation of his head from his body."
This has got to be the most savage and sarcastic episode ever made by Infographics Show.
I guess your all here after her majesty’s the Queen Elizabeth II passed away last week RIP
She isn't a badass (is a baddie tho), but Elizabeth Regina II is still my favorite sovereign. And probably the world's best & most stable monarch.
But gotta honor the fact that Elizabeth Regina I was the OG Faerie Queene, Glorious Gloriana -- & Shakespeare's Titania.
Queen Elizabeth The II: " My Grandmother is As Anne Boleyn. "

This the stuff they should teach in history class
We do reenactments & the kids love it, especially the gory bits. But most of them also say the way history is taught in schools is boring.Such a shame. We also get a lot of kids at our digs who r full of enthusiasm. What a pity they cannot find better ways of passing on the enthusiasm,in schools.

Queen Elizabeth will outlive our grandkids.
HUZZAH...
Great video
People need to stop portraying Mary I like a demon she actually wasn't. What she did was nothing compared to what his father did to catholics when he first introduced the reform. And amongst all children of Henry Mary actually suffered the most. Surely Elizabeth I was a great monarch but what she faced was nothing compared to what Mary I faced all through out her life.
It is said that winners write the history. I'm fully convinced that they just painted Mary I in a bad light and only showed negative aspects of her rule.
Elizabeth I was actually pretty cruel
